I agree, intermittent fasting and decreasing quantity is the only way I’m able to lose weight. It also helps me detox and reset my body from junk foods and sugars etc.
I agree. I'm currently underweight and once in a while feel the pressure not to skip a meal. But my nutritionist said to never force myself, but eat really well when I'm good - till my stomach adjusts.
Your food from no angle looks like diet or healthy, it looks like extreme yummy and satisfying. Maybe because we are used to seeing just salads and boiled stuff as diet or healthy food . ❤
She's a woman though. She shares tips her nutritionist gave her, a woman. Eating healthy is for everyone. But there are dietary requirements for woman that are different to those of men. Also if she would have said "everyone" people would complain how she can know what men need. There's already people complaining they can't eat that way BC it makes them gassy. Or that claim to have been eating like this and could not lose weight. It's not BC of clean foods. It's BC of excess everything Sugar, fat and animal fat especially, too processed. Fast food. I thought sometimes skipping a meal per day is good for not let your body pruduce insuline every time of the day. Intermitted fasting works easy for many people with just skipping breakfast. I try it my self the last few weeks and i like it. I learned to not snack everytime when i‘m in the kitchen and i think my sleep gets better while having Dinner Not to late in the evening, too.
Intermittent fasting and fasting in general are great. I lost over 100lbs and my blood work is absolutely clear now. Even after I got to my ideal weight I still fast for the health benefits and I still maintenance weight without thinking about it. Our bodies are absolutely meant to not eat sometimes, our hunter gatherer ancestors didn't get 3 to 6 meals a day. Additionally our digestive system never gets to complete the digestive cycle because we interrupt it and restart the process as soon as the next piece of food enters our body.
As someone who never felt hungry in the morning since I was a kid so I just almost never ate breakfast, I think skipping meals is a complex topic. Especially with how often these turn into eating much bigger meals after the fasting period. I'd say in a lot of cases its just honestly a restrict-binge cycle. on top of that for a lot of people it leaves them a lot more tired. Now it absolutely works for a lot of people and from what I understand it came about as a diet for specific health concerns. But it's a bit of an shaky ground and I wouldn't go recommending it to people just off the bat. Also as long as you eat 3h before bed you should be fine for sleep. The goal shouldn't be restrictive eating and avoiding food when you're hungry. If you're hungry you're body is telling you it needs fuel.
@@heythere5817 Indeed it is rare to find a decent nutritionist who additionally endorses fasting. Fasting and nutrition should go hand in hand, sure you can eat a whole 2000 calorie cheesecake for your meal of the day and fast the rest of the day and still lose weight if that is your goal (I did this at the beginning of my fasting journey a few times) but that doesn't mean it is ideal at all. Nowadays I have one nutritionally and calorically balanced meal a day, I've learned to really enjoy my food, to feel the difference between actual hunger and when my stomach is just empty and bored. It's absolutely empowering to not be a slave to desire and beguilement, of course I have the ability to eat a whole family sized pack of crisps/chocolates but those whims are pretty nonexistent now.
@@mordecaiissad8529for pretty much everyone, intermittent fasting is going to be a huge benefit for health. You should not be eating multiple times a day and snacking a lot. It usually leads to worsened metabolic health through a ton of factors but mainly through insulin. If you're only eating 1-2 meals a day they're going to be big meals. It helps people get more control over their hunger and health over time without restraint on WHAT they eat. With how awful dietitian nutrition is, it's hard for people to eat a healthy diet. So this is a way to help people easily get healthier even if their diet isn't the best. I personally don't do it because I tend to have low blood sugar and skipping a meal would make me crash but in general it's not that bad. My dietician always skips breakfast.
Very bad for people who battled anorexia or bulimia in their teen years. It gets those same "all or nothing" obssesive thoughts racing through your brain again. Very dangerous, emotionally/mentally. The people I know who have lost weight and KEPT it off just do small meals three times a day and two protein rich snacks. I believe the "science" behind intermittent fasting is going to prove faulty for long-term weight maintenance and will mess with metabolism. But, either way, too dangerous for former eating disorder patients.
Not everyone can afford a calorie deficit though, and especially the female physiology can be sensitive to skipping meals. I think it doesn't have to be one extreme (skipping meals) or the other (eating all the time). It's all so individual, varying from person to person, from day to day 💕
