    Well done you are doing great with Dolly! 🐰 I also just wanted to tell you rabbits aren’t nocturnal they are crepuscular meaning they are most active at dawn and dusk! Just a little fact for you💕 Your setup and car is amazing (I’ve seen your other vids)!

    Lol I have a Netherland Dwarf too. He’s 7mos and I have curbed his 3am runs by keeping him up a bit during the day. He’s the sweetest but I do tend to bug him and give him treats around 1-2pm so then he’s up and not sleeping and he tends to lay in until 7am. I hope that helps you. Sorry about your litter training situation. I worked with Pancake by putting him back in his litter box and closing the bathroom door when he was little. Being separated made him SO mad that he stopped peeing to mark his territory. Gosh I hope that helps. When she pees take her immediately to her litter box and block access for a couple hours from hanging out with you. That curbed pancake immediately ❤️

    I did breed and show Netherland Dwarfs for about three years and they were honestly very sweet and super affectionate. Yes, Netherland Dwarfs are generally highly energetic especially as babies and teenagers. They call Netherland dwarfs mean rabbits because the early ones actually were closer to the Polish rabbit attitude. Please don’t get a Polish rabbit as a first time pet as they are recommended for experienced rabbit handlers due to some of the breeds natural aggression.

    She's such a cutie!! I'm sure she's been spayed since this video went up but that's key for good litter habits. My guy is great except for my bed, he loves to pee on it. He's not allowed on it anymore 😂 I dont think theres any way to get a rabbit to be 100% litter trained, as in every poop makes it in. There will always be a small few they drop around the litter box.

  • @l.beukema8570
    @l.beukema8570 Před 2 lety +1

    Getting her fixed by a rabbit savy vet could help enormously with the litter training. Also it will make sure she will not develop cancer in the reproductive organs. And sometimes they just stay a bit untidy wth their littering 😆

    A tip for litter training is to use a cat litter box. Also make sure to try out different litter to suit her (making sure it’s safe for rabbits). I would also keep doing what your doing, putting the poops she does out side of the litter box into it! I would also put a hay rack above it as they like to eat and poop at the same time. I hope I have helped! You are doing great with Dolly and I’m glad she’s doing good and is happy and healthy💕

      @aliciaashley6521  Před 3 lety

      Ahh okay I better get on and order another litter box😂this will be her 3rd! Do you have any other recommendations for different litter types? I do put her hay in her box on one side then the litter on the other half should I maybe try a hat rack instead? Thanks so much I really appreciate it!💕

      @@aliciaashley6521 cat paper litter is good I’m pretty sure.. just not any softwood (pine….Cedar..) because they are dangerous for rabbits and I’m sure paper bedding is fine already! I used that kind of paper bedding for my hamster and it was very absorbent most of the time I didn’t even know it was soiled 😂

    Hi. Thank you for being so honest about the issues with the wallpaper and the oopsies on your bed. Have you pinpointed when exactly she started ripping the wallpaper? e. g. were you at work or out the first time she did it? If so, perhaps she is lonely or angry when left alone. I had a gorgeous Boxer dog who ripped my lounge suite cushions up the first time she was alone. Another time she chewed up a cellphone. 🙄🙄Stuff gets real with furries. May be a good idea to restrict the area she can access when you're out for damage control. I saw your first video about Dolly and I'm so happy to hear what you feel you wasted money on. I'm getting a ND (maybe two) in 3 weeks time and you are helping me save money on setting up. I intend to put some hay beside/above the litter tray rather than in it. Your setup for her habitat is amazing by the way. Does she still do zoomies and binkies? She is absolutely adorable.

    Will you be getting Dolly spayed once she is old enough? I think a lot of her poor litter habits could be due to her instinctual need to mark her territory. In many cases getting bunnies spayed or neutered helps with litter training a ton.. I know that some people choose not to get their rabbit fixed, especially Netherland Dwarf's due to being such small sized rabbits, but if you are able to find a rabbit savvy veterinarian near you that has a good reputation I would personally get her fixed. I'm sure you have read about the pros and cons of spaying female buns, if left intact they have an 80% chance of developing reproductive cancers by 4 years old. 😥 For health reasons I think it would be in her best interest, as well as if you ever plan to adopt a companion for her. Again, its totally your decision whether you want to get her fixed or not, and if not I respect your choice. No two rabbits are alike and it truly is a case by case basis. I hope you don't take this comment the wrong way, because I support your decision no matter what. Dolly is so darling and I'm happy to see she's settled in to your home so nicely. Thanks for giving us an update on her!

      Yes I really do want to!! Sorry I forgot to speak about this! I need to find a good vets to do it though like you said because she’s so small. I’ve heard it really does help with the litter training and their general behaviour. If it helps with reducing cancer then I defo will be doing this! I really appreciate your help thank you💕🐰xx
