The tone of the greater lord is so perfect for her symbolism as an archon, Calm, elegant and Intelligent it screams wisdom for everything she says.

So Nahida is kind of the daughter of Rukkhadevata but they are of the same roots, so the Rukkhadevata is kind of like a single cell organism.

The fact that those leaves that Rukhadevata sent not only healed people, it also wiped their memories about Rukhadevata except for the Traveler makes this even more sad

I cried. What Nahida had to do made me cry. I thought fighting Scaramouche and how he said he doesn’t want to go back made me tear. This here made me cry

Hoyo really love idea of an endless cycle. It's like 3 or 4th time they use the wheel of samsara in their games.
They also like using the concept of an eternal moment, or "setsuna".

Well, logically speaking it takes time to make a new character.
But as the story goes, she was long dead and Nahida and traveler doesn't know how she looks like therefore took a form familiar to them
Wouldn't Rukkadevata's child form be very close to Nahida's anyways? They're not the same person personality wise, but biologically they should be the same since Nahida is basically just cells regrown from Rukkadevata/Irimsul
It would look the same as nahida anyway, but maybe with different clothing or hairstyle
but it would not make sense since this sets up the fact that Nahida and Rukkhadevata are the same person.. Rukkhadevata basically created a clone of herself with no memories.
@@YukiZero so here the thing, in term of species Nahida is a dryaid aka a tree spirit.
Greater lord Rukkadevata lived as long as the divine tree Irimsul, but the Corrosion in this case the forbidden knowledge corrupted greater lord as a solution made Nahida with Irimsul's branch making a new Dryad to replace her.
Though they are from different time period the tree absorbs knowledge, but because Rukkadevata is corrupted the only safe way to communicate was through voice and a assumed image based of Nahida to get the point they are clones of the original tree spirit.
In a nutshell, think of how would you handle a computer with a deadly virus.
It's so heart breaking. Nahida basically had to erase her own mother's existance and also not remember her either, so sad. 😭😭😭
Sad for us, but for good. If she would still remember, then she would be too close to be driven mad (like scholars when they see the tree/finally connected to the divine power of dendro), or trigger eventually the self-hatred/regret to live, or it will disturb too much she won’t become a great archon, greater lord knew who should forget and who doesn’t have to forget her (or maybe because traveler is not from teyvat, so traveler’s mind cannot be erased), because traveler could do nothing but to be having basic sad expression, or even motivation for rage in the final fight

I think most of us assumed nahida was rukkha after she used up her power 😂 seems we were a bit wrong cuz this happened 1000 years while nahida was born 500 years ago. So rukkha did turned into a child that looked like nahida but isn’t the nahida we know?
IKR? My brother and I debated it. He said Nahida was a puppet Ruk created. I said Ruk was goubaed into Nahida. In the end both were right and wrong.
From what I understood, The thing with the scarlet desert happend BEFORE the 500 years and he sacrificed himself while Ruk was goubaed unto a child. Then the second winthing wave have at 500 years and she created Nahida before sacrificing herself.
I think this is more related to the Hindi concept of their deities being avatars of that same being Brahma. Like Parvati has 10 other avatars depending on what she needs to be such as Kali and Tripura Sundari. They are effectively the same and different goddesses at the same time.
Basically think of it like a cube with 6 faces, Rukhadevatta is one face of that cube and Nahida is another face of that cube but they are simply the faces of the same cube (i.e. Irminsul).

Think of branches or seed of a tree. If you plant them they both will have the same color and species and bear the same fruit in the future, but they wont grow up the same. Every tree grows diferent and have diferent designs. Even Two trees on an orchard growing up side by side are diferent.
That is the case here, i think. They share the same core, but are not the same entity.

I think thats true but theres something missing here... If rukha was a child for 500 years, then at least one person from Sumeru should have seen her child form. But when Nahida was born, she looked exactly like child-Rukha but no one from Sumeru ever noticed that? That would basically give away that Nahida is a form of Rukha and therefore would have treated her with more respect

After playing through Fontaine's 4.2 I still think this scene will be the best scene in all of Genshin, the emotions, the feeling, the music just blends so perfectly. Both JP and ENG versions are voice acted wonderfully here

Nahida wanted to meet her mother so badly and when she finally did she realised that was the first and last time she will ever meet her
Teared up during this scene and I still do. Genshin has its ups and downs in terms of story, but when it is up it pierces the heavens and beyond.
when i first did that archon quest i was not expecting Rukkhadevata to look like that
Lord Rukkhadevata Made a right the decision by erasing her from the world , there are 2 reasons in my opinion :
1. In her final moment , Her power was released to sumeru as a cure to the one who got eleazar and as a goodbye to the people of sumeru.
2. To accept lesser lord kusanali as a new Archon of sumeru so they can move on from greater lord rukkhadevata as an archon of sumeru.

in the new history, what everyone remember is kusanali used almost all her power and become weaker, kusanali become lesser
so, what everyone remember is that there is greater lord kusanali and lesser lord kusanali, both are the same person that is nahida
i've read somewhere that it was a mistake in the english translation, since in the chinese version they called her "Lord Kusanali"

Fontaine definitely has big shoes to fill in terms of lore and storytelling. Sumeru was incredibly beautiful and heartwrenching. The archon is the perfect manifestation of wisdom. Can't wait to see what the writers have planned for Furina's story and the resolution for Fontaine's prophecy.

Conspiracy theory:
Forbidden knowledge is the knowledge of the real world. Our interactions within the world is being filtered by a greater power through a system and through a game to lessen the corruption of the forbidden knowledge
That is why "sky is fake" is one of the forbidden knowledge. I feel like Celestia has put a curse to this knowledge so no one shall delve it further, thus more control for them.
Another conspiracy Theory I saw people are talking about, the forbidden knowledge is from the Honkai universe, and is brought to Teyvat and Sumeru by Al-Haitham who used to be Su.

I consider both Genshin and Honkai to be in the same overarching universe, in the same realm, or both universes that exists in the Impact Multiverse
With that in mind, if Honkai and Genshin were to make some kind of a crossover, the Forbidden Knowledge wouldn't become a thing. Because if that's the case, why wasn't there a leak of Forbidden Knowledge when Aloy was introduced in the world of Genshin even though the world where Aloy came from was outside of the Impact Multiverse
Unless there was a greater power that allowed her crossover and it was covered up

There's a possibility that Aranaras still remember Rukkhadevata as they are linked to Irminsul, so whatever's happening to them they're aware of it. I mean they're like "Oh I don't remember you, i definitely used my power and forgot important memories". So just like that, they might forget that Rukkhadevata was there, but using their logic, they probably will still know that there was another god before Nahida as Sumeru's Archon.
And Rukkha said "Let the world completely forget me". But there's a possibility that the forest, the wildlife, they'll always remember and keep the memory.

As a Descender, the Traveler is not affected by the Irminsul incident. Instead, they still remember Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and might have some forbidden knowledge, but with the nature of a Descender, Irminsul is still fine.
