The cutscene with Rukkhadevata and Nahida is the best, no questions asked. I cried buckets. Definitely, one of the best cutscenes to finish an archon quest.

Every Scara/Wanderer cutscene is an absolute masterpiece, I swear it almost made me tear up, the VA's delivery was incredible and the animation was godly. Easily the best cutscenes IN MY OPINION.

I so heavily disagree. Every cutscene he's in just makes him look like an edgy teenager, and I'm sick of it. Like, he's been "betrayed" by his friend dying? Bro. People die. Get the fuck over it. It's no betrayal. Being sad over it, I get, I understand. I feel for the guy. But to consider death a betrayal is dumb as fuck.

@@deathbird1202i was confused about how it is a betrayal at first, too, but recently i realized that it's probably meant in a "what's the point in getting close to and trusting people, if the fragility they can't control can make them betray me anyway" way, he knows that it's not exactly the boy's fault, but he still **felt** betrayed by what happened because he once again was left alone by the only person he loved so much. and it's possible that he wouldn't have reacted to this so badly if it wasn't his last straw or if he didn't have to explore the world and emotions all on his own, otherwise it just proved to him that people really can't be trusted, even if they're sincere, and he tied it to the single negative emotion he had ever felt - betrayal. it's also important to note that he was like a child back then, inexperienced and vulnerable
So no one's gonna talk about fantastic compass cut scene? That cut scene was legit the best (ik there are a lot of cut scenes which outclasses this in terms of animation). It has everything, emotion, love, care, strength, willingness to live and many more..it gave me chills when Xiao sent them off and accepted his fate..(the song which was played at that, OMG I can't, it was soo beautiful

The dance of sabzeruz is one of my favorite cutscenes ever because it just feels so incredibly cathartic. After such a depressing and grueling build up, the visuals and the soundtrack just makes you feel so good.
Right , when i first heard i got a little bit teary eyed , sounds so happy yet sad since she died but yet was happy to watch the dance.

Nilou’s dance is one of the most intricately animated things they’ve ever done speaking on pure model posing. It is ridiculous how every single part of her is moving at all times. The music is a beautiful evening bossa and the more it swells as the dream fades away is actually breathtaking. Such an amazing cutscene.

Forrrr REALLLL Venti is such a amazing motherly goddess and is so sweet to his people. Also Scaramouche and his roller coaster of emotions. He always blames humans but he really was mad at himself and Ei but when dottore manipulated him and the fatui kidnapped and manipulated him the encouraged him to let anger control him and when he realized that he felt such deep dark regret and instead of grieving he let anger control him. Then he learned how to overcome that pain and regret he learned to live with those mistakes and to never let himself do those horrible things again. He genuinely saw all his horrible choices and know full well the role he played in those and he regrets it deeply and would sacrifice himself to change that to keep those people from getting hurt and dying.

The cutscene where the machine was trying to revive his master was so painful I couldn't watch all of it. These cutscenes are so so beautiful but then the really sad ones hit so hard too. Nahida's scene had me going from teary to just sobbing omg. Genshin's story lines continue to surprise me in how hard they can hit.
I love the first cutscene. It really reveals how much Venti cares about his people, even if he seems like he’s never there. Honestly, somehow the drunkard is the most responsible archon of all.

Ive cried during several of these lol. Genshin is so good at making you feel during scenes like these and story telling. Definitely my favorite part of the game.
Yun Jin's opera sent chills down my spine when I first watched it. I loved it so much! The live performance made my jaw drop.
the ballads and brews cutscene is so dear to me… razor is my favorite character so the entire event was very wonderful to me. The warm tones present throughout the cutscene, the beautiful music playing throughout, and hearing/seeing the glimpses of the characters’ families. Such an amazing way to conclude the event about family, whether it be chosen or by blood ties, in the region most consider ‘home’
Kazuha using the electro vision should TOTALLY be on here.
Scaramoche/Wanderer's rise/fall/redemption is such a great story all together. It reminds me a lot of the story of Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. I wonder if Mihoyo was somewhat inspired by Star Wars when they wrote his character.
Scaramouche with his Bpd representative cutscenes really hurt and hit so hard. Like watching him see the truth and learn to change and to watch him grieve and yet let his anger go it so emotional. A lot of genshin has really good emotional cutscenes but scaramouches entire downfall and recovery is the longest emotional masterpiece in this game because they showed BPD thoughts very well tbh
Don't misdiagnose it and thus associate it with BPD to satisfy your ego just because you're diagnosed with BPD I presume.
Edit: Sure there might be similarities, but these similarities may even run beyond people with BPD. Life is fundamentally suffering. And I don't think the themes presented in Scaramouche's cutscenes are strictly a BPD representation or was meant to be such.

@@Manas-jj6xf so sorry I saw it as BPD rep... I know it's probably not but tbh his whole character and lore goes along with BPD and DID/IFS. This is just my interpretation as someone with both of those. BPD and DID are heavily misunderstood and isn't talked about or represented well 99% of the time. You don't have to agree or see it from my perspective but I'm not trying to satisfy my ego I just really connected with the character.... I see elements of BPD in the story and thought I'd share that but Jesus Christ who the fuck hurt you. BPD and narcissism are completely different things..... Blind people and people who don't understand both of them will see them as the same but people with BPD feel immense amount of guilt and shame.

so many heartwarming scenes. The creators deserve a big raise therefore. And it seems that every cutscene is going to be better than the last.
Genshin has gotten so much better at telling a story in their cut scenes, the most recent brought tears to my eyes compared to the previous ones. Good job mihoyo.

even though most of the events are like a filler and basic, you should play the archon and world quests. i like them a lot especially cutscenes
Imo all Wanderer cutscenes, the Rukkhadevata cutscene, and the Yunjin cutscene are the best. I don't ever see myself getting bored of rewatching them.
Of course all Wanderer scenes must be here, all about him, his past, his grow and his present are beautiful 😢❤
The scene between Ei and Makoto in Raiden shogun’s story II is the best ever scene in genshin Top 1 for me

The sabzerus one, the chasm and the Gundam Scara were my personal highlights of the 2022 Genshin story. Though overall, they all look amazing.

One of my personal favourites is the scene where ei plants the sacred sakura, realizing it wasn't her sister who planted it but she herself all along.
Yes. Also Yoimiya's story quest final scene riding on the stars, Kazuha blocking Raiden, and Ningguang dropping the jade chamber. They've really made some boss cutscenes that are hiding away within the story.

When I saw Yujin's Opera cutscene, that was when I fell in love with genshin impact. The scene seemed so surreal and maybe even magical. No matter how many cutscenes genshin impact can make nothing can beat Yujin's opera cutscene !!
Edit: Im very much hoping that this isnt a ranked version of cutscenes cause it feels ILLEGAL to place Yujin's opera cutscene on 7th !!

I would've put Shenhe freezing the tidal wave, Kazuha blocking Raiden's strike and Ning using the Jade Chamber as a nuke in there instead of the three sacrifices, the 20 second Cyno/Al Haitham fight and Dottores little speech. And maybe Susbedo vs. Eula hypercarry team instead of Karkata.

yin gen scene is the one that gave me the most goosebumps while nahida made me the most emotional the musical high peached was on point and the chasm escape was the most exciting

When it comes to movies and things like that, I never cry. But nilou’s dace of Sabzerus and Jun-Jin’s performance made me cry buckets, even though they aren’t that sad, I just love emotional story telling trough music. They where so enjoyable, and I was so invested in them. The same goes to Nahida and Rukkadavata’s cutscene. I’m to invested in Genshin and I need help-

The escape from the chasm is *easily* the best scene in the entire game thus far . The music, the imagery . It was flawless. For me the scara scenes all fell so flat so I wouldn’t of put any of them in my top ten personally but nonetheless it was a great year for cutscenes

I cried at the Sumeru cutscene with nahida and greater lord rukkedevata. it’s so touching, especially with nahida’s tears. It8s the same way I cried when my own loved one said goodbye, and it shows that nahida truly loved her predecessor. ❤❤😭 I love you so much, Sumeru.❤

The balladeer ending was really sad, the voice breaking when he lost his only purpose in life was truly heart breaking. And knowing how his life was was also sad, seeing hiw hurt he was that he became a villain. And when he got his memories back, he went through a whole breakdown and came back really cool. I adore his cutscenes.

With all of these gorgeous cutscenes, they really need a way you can reply them anytime you want. And a way to complete any event quests you've missed, like previous Lantern Rites/Summer events/etc.
The Yun Jin opera cutscene has always been my favorite. Not only is the art style beautiful and the music amazing, but it does an amazing job showing Shenhe's backstory and character development. Gives me chills every time.

So many of these cutscenes made me cry, so many cute and sad moments, and I cried so much in the Nahida scenes

Note that some of these cutscenes imo require a backstory to the reinforce why they are so good. Like the first one that is shown here.
Or the one with the chasm escape. Why Yelan was trying to save Xiao due to her worst nightmare, because they all faced it during their journey out. Oh I wish I could relive that quest
If they had played out Xiao's "death" scene any longer with past cutscenes, I would've started bawling. I was not prepared for Xiao to die one BIT

The 2.4 Lantern Rite cutscene is by far the best cutscene in the game for me. The music in this scene is REALLY good.

The Hanabi (fireworks in English) scene made me shed tears because even tho I see it every year in my country japan seeing the beauty in genshin hits different.
I love that at the end of #5, the balladeer says "your era is coming to an end", and then immediately after its him getting defeated.
