I had chills during the whole cinematic of Xiao's sacrifice, but when we saw Yelan's face when she realized what Xiao was doing made me so emotional, what a great cinematic it definitely deserves its first place
i agree, it is truly my favourite cutscene, even if he died it would mean he finally found peace but was so happy zhongli saved him
Yelan having survivors guilt for being the only one of her original team to survive Vs Xiao who is fully willing to die to save everyone made it more impactful.
Once you know Yelan's story, you'll actually see all their interactions in a more weighted light
Zhongli saving him in the end was just the cherry on top

i think raiden's second story quest when ei says goodbye to raiden makoto for the last time deserved a spot or atleast an honorable mention in this list. That cutscene went from full of adrenaline to very sad real quick. that emotional rollercoaster deserved a spot in this list

Focalor's sacrifice was the most memorable in my opinion; every aspect fits perfectly, and it becomes even more emotional when immersed in the lore.

that one is my second most fav cutscene the first one is the event one
The thing about no. 1.. its not just because xiao's sacrifice.. yelan skill and burst nailed it! Also the tense of shadows dark souls thingy.. itto faint and hold by kuki makes the scene more in tense state.. also shows just how strong and care of morax

Completely agree. Unlike other cutscenes, the tense situation is happening all the time, and all (almost) are completely active, and all active ones can be seen fighting unlike the resistance vs shogunate, who has an army in fight, but 2-3 are having viewer’s attention (and this cutscene shows us many characters’ abilities and how strong they are, not only in playable versions), so chasm escape cutscene will be my best (for now)

omg yes, I still remember when Nahida took the gnosis, scaramouche just fell on the ground from a great height, and Traveler, nor Nahida cared about it, it's so sad for him
Shenhe vs. Vortex Avenger and Childe vs. narwhal were the best Cutscenes
but Nahida's farewell to Rukkhadevata was very good, too

No xiao scene is by far the best no one come close

Fontaines flood should be at the top 1 and the 2nd is focalors dance sacrifice, and the 3rd is Xiao's sacrifice in the chasm
Fontaines cutscene are great but they aren’t that epic, and focalors dance wasn’t really special but it was indeed sad.

It’s split-second, but I liked how you can see Signora’s head getting sliced clean off! Hoyoverse (in my opinion) did a PHENOMENAL job with all the cutscenes in the game :)
I'm pretty sure that's her catalyst thing floating next to her, not her head. Her head appears to be intact still. I doubt Hoyo would do something like that (though if they did that would be interesting to see)

My favourite is Neuvillette's Story Quest cutscene but I also love Tighnari's Story Quest and Alhaitham's Story Quest ones

The scene in Fontaine when the water flooded and Neuvilette had to be called by the Traveler, to control and lock up the water temporarily.
dude the one where xiao sacrificed himself to save everybody else made me cry, hes one of my favorite characters for that very reason which is why im gonna try my best to get him on his next rerun

i think all the sacrifice cutscenes deserve to be here. especially the archon sacrifice. like Rukkhadevata. since u put focalor's i assumed number one or two would be rukkhadevata's but oh well.

A cutscene not mentioned but amazing is The fight between Navia and Chlorainde vs the Gardemeks is an amazing cutscene and is probably on if my favorites. One of your top pics that I agree with is definitely Focalors final dance, it has so much meaning and is that one cutscene that no player will ever forget, amazing choices and great video!

I was expecting at least a top 5 for Xiao's cutscene, but I'm so glad you gave it the number #1 spot ❤ The animation, the soundtrack, the emotions, the dark souls surrounding them and Yelan and Yanfei using their powers to keep everyone safe and Xiao's sacrifice at the end 😭 It's definitely my favourite cutscene too 🥰

Why does Albedo look so good
Imagine if the traveller and thoma ran when raiden was doing her pose thingy
I was hoping the cutscene after the 1st Raiden fight where Thoma saves the traveller and flees would be included in "Travelller saving thoma's vision" because the desperate look on Thoma's face as he struggles to free himself in time has always stuck with me. It's the reason I put extra effort into maxxing out Thoma so I can still keep him in my party as often possible. 🥰
Ngl focalors’ death scene was my absolute favorite so far and maybe second favorite the cutscenes where Wriothesley, Clorinde, and Neuvillette stopped the… uh… primadorial? Anyways the primadorial waters from bursting forth.

- Ei's story and her farewell to Makoto
- Scene Kazuha against Raiden and when Raiden takes out her sword
- Albedo's story and the battle
- Focalors' execution
- Furina's story and her performance in the theater with "La vaquelette" and getting her Vision
- Scaramouche's story, getting him Vision and scene when he screams, while Nahida rips out the Gnosis from him.

Yae Miko's story quest, last cut scene. So sorry no one mentioned it here, it was just amazing, one of the best scenes (for me) in the game

The Opening Cutscene Always Slay
I agree with most of the placements, although I’d probably replace the diluc cutscene with Nilou’s dance or Rukedevattah’s farwell. My personal favorite cutscene is the one from Xianyun’s story quest where we get to see the siblings together and happy!
I do love ShenHe scene - the Traveler did nothing to help and Ninguang shows a bit more of her real power (7 star/Geo Archon) 😂

In overall the best cut scene would be this year's Latern Rite in Liyue. I literally got shivers on my whole body... but when it comes for cut scenes from Main Quest Stories. The ones from Fontaine are the best. Especially when You see the Hydro Archon paying the highest price - just to show how muchshe cares and loves her people (to make their wishes too).
Even if she had to trick the heavens twice... she always had the people of Fontaine and all people on the 1st place - no matter what would be the price and consequences.
I also love the way how Fontiane showed and deacribed "Fate" - showing it in a very complicated way, yet easy to understand.
Never knew the unlucky 4 stars we always get have intense action, now i'm sad they’re unlucky now.
Best badass scene sure is when Daddy Drago slapped Childo kiddo 😂❤

The number 2 really kind of shocked me. I mean, it basically about people be like "go, bring ourhope and dreams with you, and defeat her with the power of friendship". I just can't get into the scene at all.
As someone who did miss the Cryo Albedo event, can someone tell me what happened in it? I've seen that fight scene online, but don't know what led up to it and what happened after. Thanks!
If I had to pick a fav Cutscene . . . it's really hard to pick at fav. I loved the fight between Osial and the forces of Liyue (especially when Xiao saves traveler), Xiao sacrificing himself (but Zhongli saves him in the end), that final battle in Sumeru, etc.
Pretty hard to tell, it was a long time ago, but what I remember was something abouta a missing father, we has to explore dragonspine in the story and along the quest sometimes albedo was reportdly acting a bit strange and sometimes while discussing with him it was not according to what we knew, and after that we finally discovered that there was another creature create by gold, so something like a brother of albedo who was jealous and tried to take the place of albedo, so it disguised hitself to look like albedo (except it hasn't got the little yellow star on the throat) and at a moment we find the false one, began a fight and that's the cinematic. (And, the father was lately found, but MYSTERIOUSLY he didn't remember anything... if I understood right, in the fight we didn't kill the right imposter but another one create by the imposor, by making experimentation on a "false" flower (don't know the english name of this mob) so the brother of albedo is still alive somewhere and he's maybe the found father so that he suceed to do what he want and find a place in the society [something like that, he wanted albedo's place but he suceed to find another's one place with the missing father])
So, in resume : A Fake albedo try to take albedo's place, latter we found a impostor albedo, we kill it, but it must be a experience of the impostor one, so we just kill a second impostor, the real impostor take the missing father place and albedo is fine.
also, it's since this event that people make the couple amber-eula because they were really close during the event, and take a walk and go the a icy lake or something like that at night.

I find it funny how Diluc’s voice sounds more high pitched in combat, it’s almost as if killing is the only thing that makes him happy-
Signoras death was so fucking cool to see. Raiden will always be my favorite archon.

I think that this game needs more fighting cutscenes, in stories or events, not just cutie friendly hangouts or dialogs
Yunjin's opera will always be my favorite (I'm actually not sure if it would count as a cutscene)
