It makes perfect sense considering it was a closed beta test. It's pretty common for paid items to be free during beta tests since the players are supposed to test everything. Making them grind for primos for weeks just to test characters would make things needlessly difficult.
I'd say that Hoyo creating a shop with cheap 5* & 4* characters and weapons shouldn't be that surprising, counting it's a CBT - Closed Beta Test, not Released or RC. I don't think they would make testers grind for primos & wishes for weeks like it's a finished game, they have to let tester gain some things faster so they can actually test those things. That way they could test the wishing system as well as weapons and objects themselves
It's common for online games that does have a closed or open beta, you play the beta to know what your impressions are and give feedback to the devs, not grinding till you get all the stuff in a limited time

i think they changed cuz of budget issues, if they were going to put it through the whole game, it would've been more expensive (idk if real, just my thoughts)
I think they should bring back npc in domain it will be cool to randomly encounter more people from adventurer guild and we can trade with them in domain like purchasing food or swapping artifact
I guess they implemented this one mechanic on HSR instead with the traces (but they separated the Traces and Eidolons, just like how they did Talents and Constellations). It looks similar but with materials (from Genshin's final version) instead.
What I found most interesting is the dialogue changes of the cutscenes, really makes one wonder what was the original plot / lore. Some things even make me worry a little, like the Venti and Dvalin scene: "Although I have returned, I will soon..." *hands over the energy / elemental ball* "What are you doing? You will die too if you don't stop..." "I can let go of my mortal presence. Dvalin..." So in this, what did Venti hand over? Die "too"? Who else died like this? Was it originally really the authority over the wind he gave to him, or that concept hadn't existed yet? Either way, I really hope that even if they originally wanted to kill him off, they changed their minds because I wouldn't be able to handle it lol
The CBT cutscenes look hilarious to me for no reason😭 1. CBT divalin purifed cutscene ( the falling animation ) 2. Venti waking up right away quickly and square waking up eye 3. Venti gets shocked immedietely when traveler purify divalin teardrop 4. Piemon’s pupils get bigger when traveler try pick up holy lyre
honestly, some of the old designs are quite charming. i'm quite fond of the shops' UIs such as 14:53 and i especially wish that they kept the way the CBT water looks :")
