Looks good! Two trick when camp cooking with potatoes. Tip#1- Pre cook your potato in the microwave. It will cook faster over the fire. Tip #2- used canned potatoes. They are actually pretty damn good and fully cooked. Wash them off good or soak them a bit to get remove the canned taste. They are also relatively cheap and come whole, sliced or diced. Was that the Firebox burner being used in the Simple Theory Stove?
Great idea with the canned potatoes. I do have some dehydrated sliced potatoes as well that I would like to try. The stove used in that conversion with the Simple Theory Gear stove is a cheap one found on Amazon. Check out the video I made on making it work with the Simple Theory Gear Stove. czcams.com/video/DtvmHLf_QRI/video.html
They are wrapped in plastic and sold as microwaveable potato’s. Just microwave in the plastic wrap for several minutes. It makes an easy way to take a potato out camping or in the woods when you only need one.
Looks like a pretty simple and delicious camp meal! 👍
Love my simple theroy stove.

Was that the first time you successfully cooked a potato in the field? It is very hard to do. Great job!
My potato cooking skills have greatly improved since we used to camp together. 😂
Damn.. those potatoes looked really good. To answer your question. Who doesn't like onions? Me.. I hate them. lol
Thanks for the video brother
Thanks. They turned out perfect. Next time I will add more cheese and maybe top them with some sour cream before enjoying them.
