  • I just wanted to get an update out. A lot has been happening and the video I am currently working on has turned into a bit of a beast when it was supposed to be a simple one so I could get used to the new video editor.
    This is my second video using DaVinci Resolve so its a bit rough but I think this will be much better in the long run. I cannot justify continuing to pay Adobe $600 per year for buggy software that I cannot afford.

    ABOUT RAVENWOLF RETRO TECH
    RavenWolf Retro Tech brings you new vintage tech videos regularly. We currently have about half a dozen videos in various states of completion, including Amiga 2000 and 4000 restorations, A Pet-4032 in desperate need of a full restoration, an SX-64, and much more!
    At RavenWolf Retro Tech we restore and explore vintage technology from Back in the Day! Now that we are moved into the new shop, the frequency of videos is increasing. I’ll keep putting out videos as I can, but I promise to focus on higher quality videos that don’t waste your time over frequent, low effort projects.

    Oh wow your shop setup is awesome! I'm jealous. Mine is a mess but slowly improving. Maybe this video will inspire me to make some progress.

    I'm sure it feels like it's been hard yards - and it has! But you are making incredible progress! Watching you pan the camera around the workshop, I'm still very jealous of the amazing technology collection of retro computing. Keep up the great work and interesting videos.

      @@RavenWolfRetroTech I've built an s video cable for it, and found a project that allows you to connect an Arduino Uno to the C64 and a laptop, and you can essentially use the laptop as a repository for your C64 programs. It allowed me to load BoulderDash on the C64 from my laptop. It's not perfect, but it worked.

    Looking good 👍. Was wondering what was going on with you:) organization with definitely make things easier 😀. Over the last few years, I've been collecting 64s and drives and a couple vic20s.... but ya they are all over and I think I should put up shelves too.. lol. Anyways Looking forward to your next video bud.

      Thanks Donald! It feels pretty good in here except I just picked up the benches for the "Computer Lab" area I want to set up so everything is being moved around again while I am also editing the C64 repair from hell video

    As usual very interesting and it looks good with organising the computers :-) Just be careful with electronics close to the windows, the UV from the sun will degrade or destroy your electronics.... Perhaps some UV curtins could help save the electronics?

      @RavenWolfRetroTech  Před rokem

      Good point Louise. Normally these windows are blacked out so I don't get glare (Like in this video when I show the C64). I will be sure to get those covers back up ASAP!

    "Over being sick"? With COVID?

    • @RavenWolfRetroTech
      @RavenWolfRetroTech  Před rokem

      No it was not Covid but there was a really nasty couple of influenzas going through our area and the wife and I both got one of them and she then caught the other one so it was a couple miserable weeks in the house!
