- Today we did Soju shots with Deadpool wearing a Ryan Reynolds costume on the Han River.
Seriously though, we had that privilege to join Ryan Reynolds on his private boat ride to the Deadpool 2 red carpet event in Seoul. And thanks to my friend's Aunt, got to see what he thinks of some seriously legit Korean food. Korean Alcohol, Korean Anju, the Han River and Deadpool incarnate. We haven't ever laughed this much in an interview.

오늘은 라이언 레이놀즈 분장을 한 데드풀과 한강에서 소주 한 잔 해봅니다.
아니 근데 진짜, 라이언 레이놀즈씨가 전용 보트로 데드풀2 레드카펫 행사장에 가시는 동안 저희에게 동행할 수 있는 영광이 주어졌답니다. 그리고 제 친구 이모님께서 기꺼이 도와주신 덕분에 라이언씨께 제대로 된 한국 음식을 대접하고 어떻게 생각하시는지 여쭤볼 수 있었어요. 한국 술, 한국 안주, 한강, 그리고 데드풀의 실사판. 저희가 인터뷰하면서 이렇게 많이 웃은건 또 처음인 것 같아요.

I once saw an interview on an American talk show for jake Gyllenhaal the interviewer asked him is he really friends with Ryan Reynolds. Jake says I can face time him right now and he will answer . Do he proceeds to do it mid talk show ryan answers he is pushing an empty stroller after dropping his kids off and playschool . My respect for him grew that day a massive movie star has an army of assistants but he still takes his kids to school himself he legitimately is a great person

I’ve watched this vid several times and what I love most is that the boys didn’t bring in a big chef to make the food but asked their friend’s aunt to make the food in less than perfect circumstances. ❤️👍🏻

It's such a amazing gesture, even though hes a huge A list star, this was one of the longest interviews Josh ever got, and was also one of the most genuine, he was so engaging with Josh and I could actually feel how thankful he was when he said thank you to Imo for cooking, as well as when Josh gave his daughters gifts. Most times celebrities are worried about how what they say and how they act, that even though theirs a sweet person, they can come off as rude and standoffish based in their media training. Ryan just doesnt give a F. And is just being himself not caring how we see him. It's truly nice for once to be able to connect with a celebrity

Ryan is so good at socializing! As an extreme introvert with social anxiety, I’m always amazed and in awe with people who are able to meet new people and get on with them immediately like they’ve known eachother for years. Ryan soaks things up and cracks jokes and is respectful and engaging with Josh and Aunty.

Actually Ryan has anxiety himself. He’s said before that he does interviews in the Deadpool persona because it helps him deal with the anxiety. So it’s definitely possible for anyone with anxiety to be as cool as Ryan.

I know this is 10months ago that you've replied, but I've been in a very similar position as you are in(or were in) before.
These days, I can talk to pretty much everyone like it's just natural, I gauge the person on their mannerism and the way the talk and then I just let loose.
For a frame of reference, I was a huge shut-in when until when I was like 26-28(I can't remember the exact year). After that, I (reluctantly) Got a job, or more realistically it lead me to getting the job, as it was sort of a training-on-the-job thing at first. I don't know what the word is for that in english. The interviewer literally asked me; "What do you like to do on your free time?" and ofcourse my shut-in, not giving a-f answer was "I play video games and drink beer". The Interviewer just started fucking smiling like he was having a time of his life.
Later on he told me that he really hadn't seen anyone been that blatantly honest and that he just wanted to see what it would lead to. I'm glad to call him one of my best co-workers today.
After being on the job for a long time, I've met a lot of people and just realized they are all the same as you. People just getting along. Getting out of that ditch of social anxiety is not easy, but the chances are there.

I love that when he was presented with the gift for his daughters, Ryan dropped his natural act and was genuinely touched. It's difficult to do that even for a moment for a "funny guy" on a press tour. It shows where his heart is, and I absolutely worship him for that. Swaping chopstick and spoon often used in formal dining, like in a banquet, the often switch between chopstick and spoon because each person literally get a table presonal serving, so they don't need share the same dish.
But in daily occasion they eat together, so the don't need to switch chopstich and spoon. When they eat soup, or dishes with liquid, they use chopstick and spoon at the same time. For exmple, eating noodle, chicken soup, or steamboat.

The end of the video was honestly my favourite part: Ryan enthusing about how much his daughters are going to love the hanboks and Auntie talking about how she was so nervous she couldn't speak was so cute!
I loved that, too! It makes you wonder how often interviewers think to get him a gift- not for himself but for his wife or kids instead. That, I would think, would be a really touching gesture. And Josh's friend's Imo was so sweet!

I'm actually pretty amazed at how quickly Ryan Reynolds picked up on the correct pronunciation and intonation for a first time speaker! He has a real knack for pronunciation!
I wonder if he speaks French, so many Canadians are bilingual. Maybe that's why he's so good at picking up other languages.
@@bodyofhope Most Canadians outside of Quebec won't take French for longer than is compulsory tbh. Many Canadians are bilingual because we're the children of immigrants or are immigrants ourselves. I think he just has a natural knack for the pronunciation, which is impressive for someone who probably doesn't speak any East Asian languages!
