Imagine this as a main menu theme with a panoramic screenshot of the moon landscape and a custom-built moon base in the background (like a glass terrarium with grass, vegetation, and trees) and in another direction a launch pad with a rocket and a player in a space suit standing next to it. maybe also a hostile mob coming out of the entrance to a nearby cave tracking the player. and in a third direction you could see a small meteorite exploding at the moment it hits the moon's surface. and all the sub menus before the loading screen to join the world having the panorama filling in the background and this music on loop.
10/10 a C418 discipline work done perfectly. I just hope we don't get immature people spouting how it's a new minecraft or a better one. I hope it gets to have a relationship like Minecraft and Terraria.
this feels much of c418's work even though it's not. Many artists have attempted to replicate this (even ones hired my mojang i think) and all pretty much failed. the fact you can do this is just incredable. it's the perfect mix of minecraft-ness and the calming type feel
I think this hammers home the exact theming for the game, and would make fantastic trailer music (for full release or late beta). It preserves the c418 feel while going a differing direction, with the "wider"/open feel compared to the tracks minecraft often uses.
Another cool fact is that there is a lot of recent minecraft songs that where made by the celeste composer, I realy like the celeste style, but I think that the original minecraft soundtrack has a identity which fits better in the game, even today.
