Watching you put covers on your bed reminds me of my youth and spending time at my grandparents house. No electricity and no indoor plumbing. Heated with fireplace and woodstove. The bed had so many quilts and blankets that you could hardly move when underneath them. Oh the memories. -14 degrees sounds like some very good snuggling weather. Nothing like a little cold weather to bring you closer together. Mmmm, i can only imagine. Wishing you 3 the very best. Stay safe and happy. ❤
Hhahahaha!!! Meals on wheels!! 2 funny....maybe 3!!
Thanks..I needed that chuckle @ 5:38 AM!!!! 👍🧙♂️
It's so nice to see someone else who uses a torpedo heater to warm up there place before getting the heat going. These off grid channels seem to struggle trying to heat there place just with the wood stove. I use mine before running the heat. Makes sense
Lots of fun watching you
Laughing and having fun
It's good that there are people like you who fill the world with happiness 💗💗🌸🌸
I like how your wife starts off the video with a cute joke ! That's a good way for us people to know how fun y'all would be around . TY for sharing the videos and God bless you and your family ! Carl, Tennessee.
Lovely to see you all enjoying your sweet home. Only one thing missing; a trusty hound dog!
We have a Pug now , close enough haha :)
Your house your rules. You guys do what suits your taste. 👍🇨🇦
Waking up in a room decked out looking like a pub, the first thing that comes to mind, is, "holy cats, I didn't make it home last night." But alas, it's just the decor. Looking good.
Looks so good in Sam's room. Won't be long now.
Congrats on spending the first night, that's quite a big milestone
Hi, Even though you are installing a wood ceiling, it's a must that you drywall the ceiling first. Drywall, even if it's not fire rated, will slow down the spread of fire possibly buying you enough time to get everyone out.
Good luck!
Good job guys. Little jealous of the wood burner!
Keep up the great work. It works better than the generator system that you got to use. Okay. Solar panels system works better than the other system that you got. Keep safe and stay warm too.
I like your idea of using trim to cover the seams, and to make a cabin decor. Why not. You have lots to keep you busy there for the winter! I hope you slept well!
Great job putting drywall up Ashley and Jeremy
The first six minutes of this video was absolutely beautiful in my eyes 👀!! Shows a couple and their daughter who don’t have a ton of money, but make the best out of it, every possible moment !! Remind me a lot of my younger days in life. And mini me looks so much like her mama….. ❤🙂✌🏼😎
Phew glad to see the ole guy come through the door 🙏not gonna lie I was pretty stressed out in the beginning 😬
Have a great wk end thanks for having us ❤️
Everything is looking great, dear hearts! Sam, you are so right! The three of you are CHAMPS, you better believe you are WINnERS too! Good job!! You are a special girl, Sam, and a great helper! Ashley and Jeremy, I might be wrong, but it seems like you are less stressed out now, even though you are still working hard, than when you were building the previous cabin. Been closer to medical facilities and your doctors makes a big difference. I'm so happy for you. Well, kids, until your next video! Please, stay safe!
The horizontal wood strip is called a (chair rail) as to not damage the drywall from back of a chair. Makes sense to me. You have the time now to think things through, so do it carefully cuz that will be noticed by you for a long time. Especially the finish moulding work,...hey.
Looking great! If what I imagine your strategy to be is accurate, it's going to be awesome.
Now, my curiosity is that if one had a thermo camera and pointed at Ashley by the wood stove while it was blazing away, which would have the hottest heat signature?🤔. My money is on Ashley!😉 Have a great day, y'all!
Ashley, That joke was awesome... VERY FUNNY. It almost sounds like a joke that Sam would laugh at? Thanks for another laugh today I needed it !.
Look good, thanks for keeping us up to date. Wishing you a good week. I love the peace in the woods. May GOD bless you and your family!
Looking good guys, won’t be long now, you’ll be done by summer time enjoying the peace and quiet out in the wilderness! 🌲🦌🐿️🦉
Morning guys! Nice to see an update this morning….looking good and warm! Have a good week🤙🏻
Thanks! You too!
Where did you find the blue kettle for the wood stove?
@@janew5351 Bass Pro Shop.
I am late finding this video, but it was worth it. The cabin is looking more homey every video you pit up. Please stay warm and safe
Love the little jokes at the start😁 The cabin is looking good can't wait for the next step❤️🇨🇦
It really started to look very amazing I love the bedrooms those big beds your daughter is so beautiful take care of yourself and hope you have a wonderful new week Rosa
Your place is looking great. I bet Sam loved her bed in her own room. In a few weeks , you will be running out of rooms left to complete. Big hugs and stay safe in snow country. Here is Santa Barbara, we have been having a lot of rain which has almost filled a big lake after many years. Now if the people will plant some fish it might be a great lake to use, year around.
Great video Ashley Jeremy and Sam
Looks like fun!!!! I used my heavy cast iron flat grill pan inside our woodstove after the fire burns down to coals....let it heat up almost red hot then slap a couple of steaks on it.....way better than a BBQ!!!
It will all come together. You're doing an awesome job & I enjoy watching
Great idea on using trim wood instead of mud, can’t wait to see the finished product. 👍
Good video it’s all coming together looks good nice and cozy take care have a great week
Wow it’s great what you are doing and being “Off Grid” is so right. Here in the UK Energy Prices have gone up, another increase in April so against our costs you are saving so much. Loving sitting watching you today whilst it snowing but nothing like Canada 🇨🇦. Thanks for keeping this 74 year guy happy. Your a great family ❤️💙❤️👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thanks so much, have a great week!
lol lol lol another great joke 🤣😂that's a cool arm chair! look at all that beautiful white snow 😃
You guys are so ‘upbeat’ and could warm up any room. Keep it up! 💚🧢💕🤞🙏
This brings back good childhood memories! The mountain winters in Colorado were frigid! We had only a small gas heater to heat up the whole house and that went off at night. Our beds were like Sam's. Loaded with blankets and the only part visible of my sibs and me were our noses!
I am sure it will all come together and look awesome. Can’t wait to see the final results 👍
I like the trim idea, consider muddling the small fill sections.
Now thats a chair, yum smores, Sam ur sure growing up.......mom and dad might say too quick, 😊 , place is looking awesome kids, I'll bet having those solar shields up on the deck protected with the overhang sure beats the first build when you had to remove snow off them outside in the open 👍
Good morning MBF family ☕️ happy Sunday… have a blessed day
Awesome, loookin' goood..
Oh my Sam is so GROWING
KEEP WELL ALL OF YOU
🌲🙏❤🌲
Almost done and looking good! What are y'all going to build next? 😂 Another Large shop would be cool!🙂
Another large shop is next! :)
pretty snow, bundle up ! There's a reason why I live in the SE USA !!!! lolol
rewatched the video
loved the opening of the first night and the no talking sequences showing how you had fun and made it like home
loved the new black & white robe design and how you have adopted the bluetti for power at the house and how it is working
Coming right along.👍
I wondered what you used for power way out there. Wow, you can listen to nature or Willie and not go craze with noise form a gas generator. Planning ahead! Smart tools, smart people! I enjoy the process!
Coming along just great. happy to see you folks getting close to the finish line.
Thanks 👍
Love the drone footage. Would like to see a video on how that’s done.
Good morning good afternoon you guys hope you guys are having a great day keep up the good work God bless you guys say hi to Sam for us and all the God bless you guys
Looking good! Like the idea of the less mudding too, and the trim rail around the room it will give the feeling of a larger space and nice contrast with the wood on the ceiling too.
I discovered this battery shortly before I got electricity! But this will get me off dirty power! Your place is looking great!
Seems like that way goes quicker ,,,Whatever way works for u ,,is the way to do it ,, looking good ,, take ur time , enjoy it
Love the Champs/Winers T-shirt!!!!
I also use the Bluetti and it is totally worth it!! Great product!
Looks awesome! I’m anxious to see what one looks like finished 💜
Hello, waow good yours beds with air😉, good working and take care you with a cold temperature
Just found you guys on CZcams… Love from the U.K. 🇬🇧❤️
Hey! We're happy to have you here :)
Hi guys I waiting for you videos, I live in mongomery Illinois.
Hey guys its been a minute since being able to watch your videos. But it looks like you guys are doing great. Can't wait to see what the trim looks like. Keep up the good work
Bluetti is a nice set up!
Awesome time to enjoy.
I'm late lol...it is amazing how a room transforms with something as simple as drywall! I could visualize what you were saying about the trim at the seams and that is going to look sweet!
Looking homey! Ron PTL USA
Great to see you guys 🌹👍
Great job guys!
you should get some firestarter its on the outdoor with the morgans CZcams channel, great stuff
what a beauty
Awesome keep up the good work
THANKS BLUEITT NICE THANKS
That does sound like the walls will look really nice. I don’t know about you but I think those air mattresses are sooo comfortable. I hope you had a great time for your first sleepover. Do you find that the portable solar panels work as well as the panels you had at the other cabin ? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! We find them pretty comfy too. We find pros and cons to the portable panels, for mobility they are for obvious reasons better. I would say if they were used at a permanent shelter they would work fine but a fixed set would probably make more sense if they could be moved with the sun, seasons, etc
Good to see you with long hair again.
Best video yet!
WOW IT`S GREAT
That’s a cool system 😊
Good job 👍👍👍
Thanks :)
*THANKS! BLUEITT! NICE! THANKS *
well I would like one for like camping but I would only use it in the summer as for winter we get months where you see the sun and so changing by solar does not work well in northwest Montana
Sweet shirt ❣️❣️❣️
Very good Video 👍👍
Thank you 👍
Looking good but if you paint dry wall b4 you put up celling might it make painting easier just guessing never did that kind of remodel but citing in the ceiling no paint on your pine and paint will go up the wall beside the pine for very clean edge ?
so jice👌👌🌼
Hey Guys, I enjoy watching your videos. Just a comment in regards to your Pacific Energy stove. I am a Pacific Energy stove owner for years. You have the same basic model as me. Please, Please do not burn paper in your stove. Not even for starting. You have a catalytic converter/combuster in the top of the stove which re-heats the smoke and burns it a second time around. There are small outlets there and it is highly recommended not to burn paper as the minute ashes can clog those holes and not perform at its best. Not criticizing anything you do. Just want you to get the maximum from your stove, plus the best and longest burn times. Cheers and enjoy(PS, I am a retired 42 service veteran too. ) Enjoy, Enjoy.
Hey, thanks for watching. This is our second Pacific Energy Super 27 we have owned and love it, have used it for years. The big thing that we would recommend not doing is burning glossy paper or wet wood. Also, the Super 27 does not have have a catalytic converter. You can get more info on the stove from Pacific Energy's site here www.pacificenergy.net/product/super-le/ . Also here is the link to the manual for this model, if you scroll down to page 7 , part 2 you will see where newspaper is recommended for starting a fire from the manufacturer of the stove - www.pacificenergy.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2020/03/100001133.-MANUAL-SUPER-CLASSIC-LE-090620-28.pdf . We hope this info from the manufacturer helps with any concerns you may have. Cheers, thanks for you service, all the best to you and yours !
I've been educated. Thanks. Mine have been the Summit. I assumed they all had the combuster. Never too old to learn. LOL. Keep the videos coming. Cheers
@@ernieandburt503 haha, it happens to me all the time, thanks for being here :) Cheers!
Hope you don’t mind me asking why you would live in a small cabin when you have a lovely house and land
I'd love to live there and if I say anything wrong I apologize. You are a very beautiful woman.
Keep up the great work. How do you find the little fan on top of the stove please. Works good or a bit of a gimmick?
We have used them for years and find they circulate the air good.
Hey J&A... I'm sure you've already touched on the topic, but do y'all have a carbon monoxide alarm installed in the cabin? 🙂
s v p ne laisse pas les allumettes prêt du foyer il serait dommage de voir que tout a brûler
Just awesome what you guys are doing would be awesome just to chat with you guys
If you have any questions we will try to answer them, we do live streams from time to time here and on our alternate channel 'Ashley & Jeremy' and answer everything on there :)
❤bitte mehr Info , über die Elktroinstalation
Was wondering why you didn't do the ceiling first?
We had already started on the walls to cover the insulation so we could sleep in there without exposed insulation, that is the only reason why.
I would like to know where you got the fan on your wood burner
We have a couple, one we got when we bought our first Super 27 from the dealer, the second we got at Canadian tire. They are called Eco Fan and you can probably order them online as well.
♥️♥️♥️♥️
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Been a while since I've seen any of your videos. I thought you had already built a off-grid house just a few years ago ?
Hey David, we share everything here on the channel, this vid will give you a bit of clarity on what happened hopefully at the minimum :) czcams.com/video/vTXjLLzj0eE/video.html
👍👍👍
Remember to always knock on the fridge befour you open it because there might be a salad dressing!!!
lol
My friend David had his ID stolen……..now he’s just Dav . ~YW 😁
lol
Can I ask what heater you use (1 minute into the video) and how long the fuel lasts, I'm looking for a good one, thanks
I believe this is the one we have www.princessauto.com/en/50000-btu-forced-air-kerosene-heater/product/PA0008944852
