We had a fun-filled last day in DaNang, Vietnam! We took the bus back from Hanoi, Kara got a free eye exam & really cheap glasses, went and got a traditional Vietnamese "hair wash", and then FINALLY rode a ferris wheel at Asia Park! :)

These vlogs make me so impressed by Vietnam. Everything is so cheap, so many friendly people and you can get fully functional glasses in under an hour it seems!
Lens Crafters in the US can do the same in one hour. But they're more expensive.

I make and sell glasses for a living back here in the states, that was crazy to see! We have the same NCT machine and even cut glasses with a similar machine. Super cool!

I was cracking up sohard at all the titanic moments! Glorious! Loved it. 2008-2016, it felt like that was the only song from the usa that made it to asia at times. Now it's shocking because you can find almost anything now.

Hi Kara and Nate, I love your free spirit go with flow kind of a thing. I just watched a clip of an American guy who retired in Thailand and he wanted to compare VN to Thailand. He really didn't like the sellers and Vietnamese in your face attitudes. You guys probably got stiffed at the restaurant for being foreigners, but you just shrugged it off. I am came back to visit VN my 5 years ago I did feel that I may have been over charged sometimes, but I don't let it bother me. I just be more aware of the prices before commit to eating or buying things. I know it sucks but when you travel and if it's not so much just let it goes.
So glad to see Kara back to her normal self! So jealous you got an eye exam and glasses so quickly and for so little money 😎

I would go back to Viet Nam and Cambodia in a heart beat. The food was fantastic and the people so friendly. I can't believe you didn't enjoy any of the massage places. The massage is so relaxing and so cheep... anywhere from $6 to $12 depending where you went... Every nite everyone on our tour group would tried to go. I guess us old retired people needed a relaxing massage more than you young folks. LOL. Enjoy your videos...Thank you for the memories.

Always got this people and that people but I would confidently say most of Vietnamese are honest and very warm welcome. Sorry about the case of the Pho man in Danang (with the different charge over times) but I am sure that not everyones like that. Keep rolling K and N. ✌👌👍

My wife and I and our 15 month old daughter just moved to Da Nang for the next year and as soon as we watched this we headed to Asia Park. LOVED IT!! Even tried rocking the little compartments on the Ferris wheel. Jazz wasn't having it haha.

When my daughter and I were in Kuala Lumpur a few years ago, Daughter was given a full hair treatment at a hairdresser school, up in the Golden Triangle for free, because 1) she was a European, with fine hair and 2) because she is a redhead.
Kara you look beautiful after a simple hair and glasses makeover you should do it more often. Also maybe I haven't gotten to it yet but bet you would be fun at a karaoke party :)

Should have gotten some sunglasses also! 🤣 So proud of you for taking care of your eye health! So many people don’t realize how important getting your eyes checked is. You only have two eyes so invest the time and money in them and it will pay off in the end. If you can of course- I know in America it’s crazy expensive.

i can only imagine what kara would do if she went on the cages at thomas amusements. the cages is a ferris wheel and as the name says you will be in a cage and you will be strapped to your sit as the individual compartments are made to go upside down and to spin on there own and sometime will get stuck upside down so all you see is the ground come towards you the ride is also fast not slow. it can be scary at times

Hey it's great to see Kara up and at em again. As a eyeglass wearer I am astounded at how quick you got your glasses!? Here it takes sometimes not just days but weeks. Also I would recommend you get some prescription sunglasses as well. They really help!

Really late entry here, but I just started watching these. Just so you know, knock off is just another term for counterfeit. It's illegal to bring counterfeit merchandise into the US. Not being judgy here; just know that it can be confiscated upon return to the US.
I'll never understand why it takes so long to get glasses in the US. The only place I've been that got my lenses made same day was Eyemart Express, but there's not one real close to me anymore so I always have to wait a week.
I don't like Ferris Wheels either...

Binge watched all your videos this past weekend (And Subscribed!). The Vietnam ones, a couple of times (I'm from there, but have never been there). I love watching videos of people enjoying their time in Vietnam. Still have not met a person that didn't enjoy their time there. my Non-Vietnamese friends seems to love it there and my Vietnamese friends all tell me, they will eventually move back and live there. Makes me really want to go back and see for myself.
My family is from Haiphong - close to Halong Bay, which looks amazing. Jealous of Nate (Squid Man) catching all the squid. Glad you guys enjoyed your time there (Minus the one dude charging you double on the Pho Xao dish). Safe Travels!
