I was at the next Rose Bowl (Texas vs. Michigan), and I have the same thing to say about Michigan fans. Michigan is now a team I root for. After Texas, of course.

Most Michigan fans are very classy and know their sport. Hail to the Victors! You guys have a noble tradition and I love your mascot. Never mess with a Mustelid! I hope you guys get your groove back. The Big Ten needs a strong Michigan program.
its gonna be very interesing now with USC and UCLA going to the big 10 in two years. USC fan but always got nothing but respect for michigan fans! besides fight on but hearing the big blue fight song is always awesome to listen to. gonna miss the traditional big 10 vs pac 10/12 rose bowl games.
This was a very good Michigan team - they had a hiccup at Oregon and got clipped by a field goal at fellow Top-10 team Iowa. USC made them look very average in this game which was a tribute to how good they were. Lloyd Carr even broke the Coaches' poll rule by voting USC #1 even though the coaches had an agreement to vote for whoever won the designated BCS title game (LSU that season).

Except they had 1 "championship" over that era of 2002-2008. I'd love to see the '04 SC team vs any of Saban's Bama teams or the '19 LSU team. I'd give the edge to the SEC team just on defense and depth. Those USC teams besides 2008 were "okay" on defense. As a diehard ND fan, my hatred for U$C runs deep but I gotta give respect to the Pete Carrol era. That dude owned ND, every fucking year! Hopefully the rivalry returns this year. Riley has them looking good, a tad overrated but beats those awful Clay Helton years. Hoping ND keeps the streak alive this year. Go Irish!🍀🍀🍀
