It's been a long time coming!
Just passed Bailey Rd use to be just two lanes, from around 08-09 they added the third lane. I use to go back and forth between Simi Valley and Vegas from 84 to 2008, then I moved up to Northern California, until Jan of 2021! Moved to Kingman! So now I’m 90 minutes away from Vegas and have made that trip about 20 times already. Around September I want to drive from Vegas to Simi Valley since it’s been so long. From 99 to 08 I made the trip every 3 to 4 weeks. When I got to Victorville I would cut over and go the back way, which is the 18 or Palmdale Rd, then it turns into Pearblossom Hwy, or the 138! Then to the 14. So this video brings back some great memories!😇
Would love to see a video between Twentynine Palms and Amboy, I've done that ride before and it's amazing

A number of Road Warriors like FreewayJim had done videos of I-15 between Barstow & Primm. I remember a video you did with a hard guitar instrumental going from near Mountain Pass to the CA/NV state line which I still watch now & then. But this is your 1st extended video of I-15 between Barstow & the NV stateline.
& judging from the date, this was filmed on a Wednesday- which was a good idea. Had you & your grandpa left on a Friday, you both would have been fighting the traffic of cars heading to Las Vegas for the weekend!
There was a reason I wanted to go during the week. Traffic sucks here on the weekends!
That car used to be across the highway at Whiskey Pete's. You could walk right up to it and look inside. The steak house had two steaks. The Bonnie and The Clyde. New years eve 2006 I won $16000- at the steak house bar playing Cave Man Keno.
The Mad Greek in Baker is worth a stop.
I’ve driven i15 from Ca60/ i10 /ca210 to Las Vegas so many times I can’t count.
From well over 100f 37c + degrees to seeing Halloran summit and Mountain Pass both covered in snow.
The Chevron at Jean, Nevada has 96 pumps.
Look out ive heard that most of primm besides the casino have been taken over by raiders
Been to the tallest thermometer, but never driven all the way to Primm.
Most people drive 90 mph on it. When they have a wreck, it’s very bad.
Just ask the truck drivers what they think about California's special speed limit just for them. They look forward to crossing the state line at Primm Nevada.
This highway really should be six Lanes all the way from Nevada into the Los Angeles area! The new third lane could be a truck lane all the way!
California speed limits are 25 years outdated.
