I love Ange. Ever since I heard about him bringing Brisbane Roar from nowhere to title winners, I've loved the man. And the fact he's one of the few managers who when they first arrived at the club and stuck by his word by getting rid of the players who didnt want to be there.
I have been aware of him for 3 years and in 2 of those he has got very very tech towards the season end.
He won't be at spurs next season
@@TheGordybear hr deserves a better team I wouldn't blame him🤷🏽♂️
The fact the leading Supporters Trust wants to organise a meeting to inform ANGE of the history of the rivalry is crazy to me 😂

As a Spurs fan, those guys are a joke
Arsenal fan here. The City-Spurs result and the Heung-Min Son miss broke my heart, but speaking objectively, Ange Postecoglu is absolutely the man to take Spurs to the top. I am very content with Arteta and I believe he is the perfect man for us and wouldn't swap him for any other manager, and yet I still find myself a little jealous of Spurs having Ange. I can already see they will have success under his stewardship and as an Arsenal fan it concerns me, because I do not want them catching up to the top teams in the league. Ange is incredibly well spoken and not afraid to say things as they are - something that other managers often shy away from. He is a headstrong manager who places extreme importance on his values and if you don't agree with them, you won't succeed at his club. I actually see a pretty strong resemblance between him and Arteta when he first joined Arsenal, with a heavy importance on values and having a playstyle and sticking to it. If Spurs stick with him and back him to get the players he wants, he can absolutely take Spurs to glory in the long run.
100% agree. Spurs fan and I love Ange like 2017 Poch. He just GETS it and I absolutely believe in Ange, Angeball and everything he stands for. Spurs need him and need to get out of his way at the same time.
Wow.....fair play buddy
the shadow of levy looms large over spurs' misfortunes ...
Spurs fan. I agree with you in that he is the man for the job and the one I want leading us in the future. That being said I think that he is somewhat in the wrong here, it is not “his club” it is the fans club. Ange could have handled this better. I have sympathy for his frustration at the situation. But he could have expressed his desire to win whilst saying he understands, but disagrees with the fans viewpoint and moved on
@@ULTIMAT3CAMP3R7 Sounds like you want a manager who doesn't tell you the truth. 3 Managers now have made it known that there's a problem with the mindset at Spurs, and you'd like him to "respectfully disagree"?

Spurs last three managers have all called out Spurs. At this moment they only have themselves to blame. Over here in England the outpouring of respect for Ange from fans of all clubs has been amazing. The disappointment in seeing Spurs fans actively cheering for Man City everytime a goal went in, seeing fans say "throw the match Ange" and now Ange confirming that one of his own staff members said "We should play the kids tonight" so they would lose easier. Spurs are a small club with a small club mentality and Ange called them out for it,
I think it's actually worse than that. They're a big club that don't know it.
Hey Zealand, it just broke but there’s an alleged betting scandal in the A-League where a couple players were attempting to influence the amount of yellow cards in matches. 3 players have been arrested so far.
No we should do good stories about the A league. Two sold out semis, this was the worst time for this news to drop.
Has Ivan Toney moved down under?😂
@nilsfra1452 nah way worse imo early media reports, indicate senior players persuaded juniors to get yellows for some gambling ring.

Antonio Conte also said as much last season. After a draw against Southampton he said: “I think it’s better to go into the problem, we are not a team. We are 11 players that go into the pitch. I see selfish players, players that don’t want to help each other and don’t put their heart [into it]. This season compared to last, now we are worse in this aspect. When you are not a team you cannot improve.” He continued on to say “It is easy in this way [playing without pressure or importance]. Tottenham’s story is this, 20 years there is the owner and they never won something but why? The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stay here.”. He was sacked shortly thereafter (Quote from a Goal article)
Wow Zealandism is actually back damn, two uploads within 24 hours chat we're so back
As a football fan, I never want a team that I support to lose under any circumstances. At the end of the day, beyond the mathematics of rivalries, there are is a higher principle and that is love and respect for the game itself. We love football before we love our preferred teams. It's why fans left their differences aside a few years ago to protest against the Euroleague... Superleague... whatever it was called. It wasn't just about team A or team B, but about the sport and its spirit and honouring that. There is a code to it and it requires placing the integrity of the sport above everything. Shame on supporters who wanted their own team to lose, just so their rivals don't win a title.
Integrity is getting shoved that title you could've prevented? For bunch of ungrareful rival?
Complete and utter bollocks. You wouldn't want to lose a meaningless game to stop your bitter rivals ofg 100+ years from winning their first title in 20 years? Support another fucking club in that case.
Even the most heated rivalry has to have an element of mutual respect to it to keep it at that level, and if you can't even respect your competitive integrity as a club then I question how you can respect your rivals enough to truly hate them.
@@eavyeavy2864 You don't play for the gratitude of a rival, you play to win yourself against whoever is in front of you and you play to win out of principle. If you or your rival or whoever is the best team, so be it, but it should always be proven on the pitch, not faking it. You want to get at your rival? Beat them on the pitch, fair and square, win the title yourself. Is that the height of Tottenham's ambition? Is this their philosophy? Being a loser is fine as long as Arsenal also loses? That's a very low bar.
ange is a magnificent human, footballer and manager. loved watching him play for south melbourne and then grow into a fantastic manager. i was pretty gutted when he joined spurs because spurs is a club where managers go to die. you should have been in a socceroos jersey for this video!

I'm from New Zealand, i know of Ange from his days in the A-League, and managing Aussie and seeing him succeed in Japan and Scotland. Was genuinely stoked when he took over my club... long may he stay.
As an Arsenal fan who saw the game, fair play to Ange and the players, they gave it an honest try, at the end of the day, its Man City it was always going to be tough, but i cant say they didnt try
The players tried whilst the fans were cheering for the other team. Imagine some were panicking together with Guardiola that Son would score
They also had a referee suspiciously born a couple of Miles away from the Man City stadium

The weirdest situation I've seen in recent years was the Bayer vs Roma tie last week.At 1-2 in the match Bayer were going through but were going to lose their unbeaten run.It was hilarious for about 10 mins.Xhaka was the only "old pro" who for about 1 minute played like they were winning the tie but even he got swept up in the situation and piled forward.
No skin in the game but I was out of my seat when they equalised in the 97th minute.

Football isn't just a game, it has cultural nuances and intricacies that affect people. Spurs fans wanting to lose that game I believe is not a bad thing. Because if Spurs had given Arsenal the league, Arsenal fans would never let Spurs fans forget it for decades. That is more important than an outside shot at a Champions League spot.
I will say Ange of course has the right way of just wanting to win but I feel like it may not have been the best thing to have a go at the fans for a once in a lifetime match that is just a difficult situation. He needs to at least show the fans he understands why.
Weak mentality. The only thing ange deserves is an apology
@@filippobrunone1717 it was a one off game that will likely never happen again for Spurs. Like I said, Football is more than just a game. The hatred Spurs have for Arsenal is pure and it affects communities legitimately. The nuance of that needs to be understood. I love Big Ange. Top coach & top bloke.
As a Spurs fan, fully back Ange on this one. Yeah sure, we hate Arsenal and I didn't think we were going to win. But we should be pushing for top 4 regardless of what may happen if we win to other teams the league. The tribalism in football is crazy sometimes. Cut your nose off to spite your face comes to mind
Just need to focus on ourselves, not give a toss what other teams are doing. Of course there’s always going to be that rivalry there but we shouldn’t prioritise their downfall over our success

Spurs have the 7th shortest trophy drought in the Premier League... not that bad.
And how many of those clubs have finished 2nd in the league and made it to the cl final or league cup final?
Especially when other clubs have broken countless ffp rules, and spurs have gone through a massive stadium rebuild over the last 4-5 years
As a Chelsea fan I was really upset that Tottenham got Postecoglu last summer instead of us.
Currently I'm quite happy with Poch but I still worry that Postecoglu will be the man to take Tottenham to a trophy.

According to the commentary here in Brazil, there were Spurs supporters getting kicked out from the stadium after the first Håland strike for celebrating. There’s rivalry and then there’s Spursy.
I'm a spurs fan, but you pretty much echo my sentiments entirely. COYS!!
P.S. Son proved he truly is Mr. Tottenham :p
Yeah, as a Spurs fan the early season run was incredible, and I think partly fueled by the hope that hiring Ange brought; the later downturn came from injuries and an intense playstyle that wore down the players a lot. But when Spurs started struggling this season, I told friends that I didn't mind so much. Ange seems like such an incredible and dedicated leader. Spurs are fun as hell to watch, even if they're not doing as well. I hope people don't forget that the team is a project and it'll take multiple seasons to turn around their overall performance; to be bitter and angry that this season didn't end as well as it could have is understandable but also myopic. I am excited for the future under Ange -- maybe not super hopeful because Spurs, but excited.
Zealand for president ✊🙌
Ange has a point but this game is a 1 in a billion situation where a fanbase would want to lose. This will literally never happen again probably to any team

Fans that desire for their rivals to lose more than their team to win has bothered me ever since I caught myself having that mindset against Bayern. I do feel there is a philosophical argument that fans that desire for their team to lose so that it costs their rival are not fans of their team, but haters of their rivals. If any of that makes sense 😅
100% agree, you know how you stop being losers? By prioritizing winning and building a culture that only accepts winning. That is not the Spurs mentality though. O’Hara on Talk Sport wearing a City Jersey is indicative of being losers. Winners would never do that. It isn’t about the Tribalism, it is about winning. Vince Lombardi famously said, “winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.”
Thank god he's back 🙏🏻
I don't know why, but I don't think I could ever watch a Zealand video if that frog isn't in the background looking at us 😅
The atmosphere being weird is not a surprise, there was a image tweeted showing the ticket exchange for the City game and there were thousands of tickets available for resale which for the fixture (with it's recent history considered) would normally be unheard of.
For me Son looked like he got in his own head for that chance at 1-0, you'd put a lot of money on Son 1v1 to bury that, take it around the keeper or find a gap to thread it through.

Yes, I have been waiting to hear what zee has to say about this
Let him just do it, mate 😂 😂 😂
Has he forgotten? 😂
Problem with Spurs as a Club I don’t think has anything particular to do with the fans, but with timing.
They never seem to have everything necessary to challenge for trophies.
They’ve had one of the best Premier League strikers of all time in Harry Kane, second only to Alan Shearer and top England goal scorer of all time, but the rest of the squad has had holes all over it - his break out season was the 2014-2015 season and if you look at the teams he’s been in from that point there have been so many weaknesses.
Arguably their best season was 2018-2019 when they got to the Champions League Final, but you look at the team they had and the only really top players they had were Lloris, Eriksen, Son, Dele Alli before he fell off a cliff and Kane … the rest of their team was fucking bobbins man
and in final Kane was playing with injury

American Tottenham fan here, Ange is spot on. This entire saga pitted fans with the correct mentality of wanting Spurs to win and not focusing on Arsenal against the ones who clearly care too much about Arsenal. I’ve been called a belland, prick, and other names by so called “real fans” over this saga. Not many of us expected Tottenham to win, but outright rooting for them to lose to spite Arsenal is repugnant. Ange is right whose side are some of these people on. I have an Arsenal fan roommate and I could have taken the banter if Spurs won/draw and it led to Arsenal winning the league. These fans need to grow up or find a new club altogether.

Levy is already looking for replacement.
Conte and Mourinho are serial winners with much stronger CVs than Ange and couldn't win anything. You are being VERY optimistic here with Ange, especially considering the shambles running the club behind the scenes that drove out Conte and Mou. Bold to assume Levy is suddenly going to be cooperative now considering how his dealings went with the last few managers at Spurs
EXCELLENT video (all caps necessary). You never root for your team to lose.
Pretending other fierce rival fans wouldn’t do the exact same thing in this situation is so frustrating. I was at the match, and the fans were cheering the team on. It just doesn’t suck that we lost.
An aspect that’s not getting as much attention is that Son got cheers from some of his team’s own fans after missing a key one on one chance. He’s a professional and that’s his job, and he’s being bullied by his own fans that want him to lose. Spare a thought for the players too and their morale.

-Daniel Ricciardo- Zealand, probably.
I have a feeling that if Arne Slot doesn't workout for Liverpool, they should go for Ange.
If spurs really wanna compete for trophies again like they did from 2015-2019, they need a culture.
People forget poch basically had this amazing culture in Tottenham. There’s interviews every where about how since he didn’t have the budget to get players, he had to get their players fitness up, probably why you would see on fifa that spurs had really good players with tons of stamina.
Spurs lost that mentality as soon as poch left, they had been trying to ride on other culture that manager sbring in, like Mourinho, Conte, but those are obviously two managers who leave after 3 years max no matter the circumstances.
Ange for spurs could instil a new culture similar to Poch if they actually play their cards right. Rosie ally since spurs have been making a lot of money now that their stadium has been built.
He is a manager so many teams would want right now.
If he leaves, Barcelona, Bayern, man united, and Juventus probably all call for him. You guys do know that right? His mentality is something a lot of managers don’t have.
If you want another manager meltdown look at what happend during the Coppa Italia final with Allegri he completely lost his mind
-everton draw v liverpool who took 2 points from them
-chelsea draw vs Tottenham winning Leicester
That man city vs Tottemham day could not have gone better as a spurs fan. On the one hand, we managed to lose while still playing a decent game and managed to spite Arsenal, which is particularly sweet after the humiliating celebration of saint totteringham's day by them after they won at our stadium.
On the other hand, Ange still proved to us that at least he of all people, the man at the driver's seat, has the winning mentality and that inspires great confidence in a future where Spurs fans dont need to settle for being shameless.
Bring back 1600's brouhaha's. Football has gone soft.
FYI, China invented gunpowder mate
Hate Tottenham, love Ange
Say Postecoglu one more time. I dare you.
Regardless of what club you support, wanting your rivals to fail more than wanting you own club to succeed is a small club mentality. Like you can see why Eric Dier basically said "spurs are shit we dont win anything" because the fan mentality doesnt push players to want to win
As an Arsenal fan I feel like his frustration is more due to people within the club than the fans and that the fans were more of an outlet for his frustration. It's one thing for fans to be happy that they screwed over their rival but the fact that there are reports that people within the staff were ahead of the game joking about it and being happy and then for the people like Son and Romero to be talking to City players and staff while smiling and laughing after missing out on CL football next season shows a lack of mentality. If Spurs back Ange the same way Arsenal backed Arteta I honestly expect something like 70% of this squad to be gone from Spurs within 2 or 3 seasons.
Conte was sacked after something like this 😊
Spurs have 5 trophies since Newcastle won their last major title
