10:29 keeper/goalie was celebrating the goal they thought they scored, they sometimes go celebrate with the players on the bench and other staff
The irony is that their celebration was justified. It was a goal. The problem is that the ref didn't see it.
The ball bounced back from the net, inside the goal, and not from the goal post. The goalie, as he thrown himself to catch the ball, stretched the net so the ball bounced out in unusual manner, like from a hard solid surface. The ref probably also concluded it was the goal post, but it wasn't.

@@mathmols8835 Actually, I've found the video online, and I stand corrected. I was wrong.
The fact I was saying it was a goal is because I remember one of the players stated it was a clean goal. But watching it again, from a different angle, at 1/4 speed, it's obvious the goalie punched the ball into the goal post, before it crossed the line.
I won't delete my comments, but I want to apologize to everyone for inconvenience and my personal brain malfunction.
@@damyr Yeah there is a camera that shows that it clearly hits the posts. But I must say the opponents in that match must be blind af, they have the perfect angle to see it hits the post😂
The goalkeepers sometimes join their field teammates during the last few minutes of the game, when time is running out. Then they have to score now or never, so acting like an 11th field player supporting the offence is more useful than standing back in their own goal. But it's a big gamble!
Football is the beautiful game and in the first kick, it is a knuckleball which is why it is such a good goal.
And he did it last night for DR Congo in AFCON from a free kick at a similar angle

As a goalkeeper in some situations it's slower to "get down" for a low ball (as you cannot pull yourself down faster than gravity) than using all your muscle power to jump up for a high one. That's why smart ground play is so important for finishers/attackers.
I was just about to comment the same thing. Most goalkeepers are 6 ft and up which gives you a lot of advantages in regards to reach, armspan, max jump height for collecting crosses etc. But it makes getting down low quickly harder, so it's in the striker's interest to aim low and in the corners at shorter ranges.
Remember that property of German language about glueing words together? What you call "bicycle kick" ist called "Fallrückzieher" 😅

I'm not even a football fan... but I have to admit, those guys do have a lot of ball control... doing stuff that even another football team thinks is impossible.
But it's exactly the kinda tricks that have kept south American football relevant for so many years.

Its a lot of individual class but the real class are the goals where team combinations lead to a great goal. After all it is a team sport where 1+1 can be 3.

whats so cool about the first goal is the fact that nobody was expecting that from that angle , 99%of the time ppl will just look into the box and cross it for a teammate , what makes this even better is that it's deliberate

What Americans mistakenly call "soccer" is so much more deserving of the moniker "football" than the American version. After all, the entire world plays "football" with their feet. The American version would more correctly be called "armpit ball" because that is where the ball resides most of the time. 😅🤣😂

I like your reaction style, Ryan. That overhead kick at the end was by the GOALKEEPER(Goalie) as it was the last minute and his team had nothing to lose.
In that clip right at the end, you, rightly, said it was the other team's fans at the top but what you missed was when the player received the ball straight from the Goalie and scored, there was an "avalanche" of fans surging forward in the lower tier from the Home supporters:)

Yep, bicycle kick at 2:52, back-heel at 4:16. Bicycle kick partly sideways at 7:55. Many football players are truly ball wizards.
The first clip is mostly about the ind games and positioning, while of course, complementing it with a flawless execution, you can see the teammate moving behind the one with the ball to mess with the defender and making it so that he had almost no right choice to make, if he moved, he would leave the space open for a shot and if he didn't, he would get nowhere.

The first one from Aston Villa was that the way he kicks it and the ball's initial trajectory should be curved in toward the middle of the box as a cross pass. In in the middle of the flight, it change direction and curved out towards the goal. Hence the late reaction of the GK.

@3:00 That's an overheadkick,do note that all bicycle kicks are overhead kicks, but not all overhead kicks, are bicycle kicks. It's the size of the revolution that dictates,but primarily, take-off from the ground.

Not Messi, no. That is a shame, but the last goal is from Palermo, who is from Argentina. He was also a person able to do tons of strange goals...and miss 3 penalties in the same match. Personally, I would recommend you see more of Ronaldinho big moments (in the video you are reacting too there is only one moment by Ronaldinho, but try to find more of his greatest hits. His game was beautiful (and I am not even from Brazil).

1:20 99.9% of the time a left footed player cross the ball from that side.. So at a situation like this, the last thing you expect as a defender from a left footed player is to shoot it from that side !!

The one where the other team went upfield and scored, while the other team was surrounding the Referee? It did not go over the line but hit the post. "Goal Line Technology" is 100% accurate but that is why,my friend.
