    I followed all the instructions in the video and the touch screen powers on and responds perfectly. Only issue is that the heads up display says “audio off” the “power” button in the Boss aftermarket stereo does not change it. Putting the stock radio back in and it can be powered on with the power button. I’ve checked continuity and all the soldered wires are connected. Any ideas for troubleshooting this?

    (2014 Honda CR-V with navigation)
    Great video! I didn’t need to solder anything I just used T Tap connectors and butt connectors for the main splices. The nav backup camera was a bit confusing but you just connect the power and ground cables to the camera plus and minus, and the RCA cable to camera plus and minus, your 7 pin connector was a little different than mine. The SWC was super easy just T Tapped the 3rd wire and everything was pre programmed. The can lines were easy also used a t tap, worked great

    For the sony ax7000 I have EX-L non Nav
    Purple white on goes to the the hd11 green nav output green
    (tells the sony to turn on rear camera when car is in reverse)
    Also on the sony ax7000 youll need to power (yellow wire) directly to the battery due to the higher demand from the receiver due to the built in Amp. Also you can ground the receiver (black wire) directly to the vehicle
    Hd11 purple white on hd11 goes to speed sensor. Dont use it.
    thanks so much for explaining how to connect the factory rear camera. because i dont wanna change it.

      The factory sub should still be retained using the PAC harness used in the video. The reverse camera will continue to be displayed on the IMID screen above the radio when replacing the radio. If you want to bring it down to the factory radio, just pull a pinout of the IMID harness and use an RCA Male end to tap into the single from the backup camera (similarly we did in this video)

    Do you have a solution to retain factory lanewatch feature

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Idatalink Maestro retains it, but you will need a radio to support it. Generally kenwood and JVC can.

    According to Crutchfield... "When you install a new stereo, you'll also have to replace the rest of the factory amplified system. Install new speakers and run speaker wire from your new stereo to your new speakers." Is this true? I do not believe my Civic has the premium sound... How would I know?

      I just rewatched that section , and you said, "you will need a radio with RCA pre-outs." So, my guess is I MUST get a radio with RCA pre-outs for it to work in the Civic.

      You can tell if you have the premium sound if your stock speakers cones are yellow(color).

      That’s done through the smaller screen next to the digital speedometer and the buttons on the steering wheel.
