I Made Minecraft But The Blocks Are Legos… So I wanted to try to see if I could make Minecraft in Unity. I decided to try and turn the blocks into Legos because I thought it would be cool to see, but also because I think there should be a Lego Minecraft game. I don’t know how this isn’t an official game yet.

@@CodyCantEatThis Did you use GPU instancing for the blocks and their material? Also, it seems like you didn't disable bilinear filtering for the animation of the cracks in the blocks as they're broken, giving that white outline.

Probably a bit late, but for basic cow roaming, use the same logic you used for the zombie, but instead of the players position, use a 2d vector and have the vector change when the cow is within a certain distance. So like moving towards a target position in the world, and then have the target position change to a random near by position

I'm not a programmer, but I think I have an idea on how to make mobs move around idly. After a certain number of time passes, have the mob pick a random point within a radius of a set size and have them walk towards that point. For extra variety, have a chance that they will pick a second point directly after they get to their destination.

You said you didn’t wanna make a game that was just Minecraft but with lego blocks, but that’s literally all you did
2:07 Make a data file (let's say for every 20 chunks) with numbers representing blocks (0 = air, 1 = grass etc).
Load this file on-demand based on players position & then render with DOTS.
Note: You should really look into just rendering the front-faces.
