  • After posting photos, I was getting lots of messages about how I made my winter village. In this video I talk about what sets I have in my Lego Winter Village, how I built the landscape, what I would have done differently, and ideas for the future.
Last year I got my first official Lego Winter Village set, the Winter Holiday Train (10254), and immediately fell in love. This year I was able to snag several of the other sets and was trying to figure out how to display them...and ended up creating this Lego winter wonderland!
It took a few weeks to build this and put it all together, quite a bit of research, some train modifications to get the dang thing to go up an incline, and lots of random trial and error. The train travels up and around the north pole mountain, back down the mountain around the winter village, through the tunnel under the mountain and out the backside back to the village.
    Current Winter Village sets include:
    10235 - Winter Village Market
    10245 - Santa's Workshop
    10249 - Winter Toy Shop
10245 - Winter Holiday Train (w/ the power functions train motor set)
    10259 - Winter Village Station
10263 - Winter Village Fire Station
    10267 - Gingerbread House
    10275 - Elf Club House
Other Holiday sets include (not official winter village):
    40338 - Christmas Tree
40083 - Limited Edition 2013 Holiday Set 2 of 2 (this is the Red Christmas Tree Truck)
    40139 - Gingerbread House

That's pretty cool. I recently got the gingerbread set, my first lego set. I am hoping to start a tradition with my grandson.

Great layout! If you get the decorative sides for the train motor wheels there are two studs on the top and you can build up from those and make the tender look better. Great job!

Lovin it! Because of your comment I’ll try to post a video about ‘the life’ in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for watching and encouraging me to make some content. I miss it!
