    Being aware of the personalised hate & vitriol being aimed at a person simply doing their job, rather than debating respectfully idealogical differences, I can understand both the extra burden of that on top of being PM, and also not wanting her daughter to be starting school while such dangerous and unhinged behavour follows her Mum.
    It is NOT a victory for those trolls & criminals - they will now find a much stronger pushback from people of all political stripes, as a result of this behaviour having been brought more into the open. It highlights that every one of us needs to speak up, at all levels of society, so that the message that it will not be rewarded, and will not be tolerated amongst friends & colleagues, permeates Aortearoa NZ, from home to Parliament.

      Who are the trolls and the criminals? Maintaining a healthy skepticism towards Government is important. Please note that we've just experienced an era during which anyone who openly expressed even moderate reservations about the Government's course, or who was openly critical of the PM, could also be subject to "hate and vitriol", often through our own publicly funded media.

    So disappointed about some comments here. Remember no one is perfect. They all have flaws. And as a leader, her resignation example shows that politics is not a piece of jewellery to wear and use. It's a service. But nowadays world politicians made it to the World's Oldest Profession.

    • @carlosquinto1383
      @carlosquinto1383 Před rokem +2

      nobody is perfect but that doesn't mean you have to trample over basic human rights and treat people like animals to get popularity and revel in it. That is just plainly disgusting. The things she said are just plainly right up there with any authoritarian psychopath. If you don't see it, maybe you are an authoritarian ashole yourself. Just respect the basic rights of others, what's so hard about that?

    • @savedbyjesusblood

    People are unable to see the difference between assertiveness and abuse and rebellion is not freedom when it disregards the freedom of others ...I am gutted jacinda has gone ...she truly combined kindness with rules and empowered citizens ...unfortunately this was too much power too fast to those with personal agendas ,and unresolved fear , unable to see the whole

    • @jasperhorace7147
      @jasperhorace7147 Před rokem +2

      Yeah right - the whole picture was all those promises and all the stuff she absolutely knew how to fix but achieved almost nothing of them, then she went off on an unmandated tangent to appease the so called Māori caucus, forgetting the majority of New Zealand voters already believe Māori are more than well catered for in this country.

    • @ananamu2248
      @ananamu2248 Před rokem

      Yeah ,that too ...she had some goals she did achieve and will bear fruit in Time ...she stopped escalations . ..but she didn't really have the space to deal with crisis rolling and maintainence ...it also takes longer to fix causes ..but I agree ,we have been in rescue mode for a while now so that it encourages victims ....I believe homeless kids can earn a bed , a meal ,a room doing community work at schools or council
