The ignorant mass looks upon the man who makes a violent protest against our social and economic iniquities as upon a wild beast, a cruel, heartless monster, whose joy it is to destroy life and bathe in blood; or at best, as upon an irresponsible lunatic. Yet nothing is further from the truth. As a matter of fact, those who have studied the character and personality of these men, or who have come in close contact with them, are agreed that it is their super-sensitiveness to the wrong and injustice surrounding them which compels them to pay the toll of our social crimes. The most noted writers and poets, discussing the psychology of political offenders, have paid them the highest tribute. Could anyone assume that these men had advised violence, or even approved of the acts? Certainly not. Theirs was the attitude of the social student, of the man who knows that beyond every violent act there is a vital cause.

@@sosoo000 maybe so, maybe it will exact change we so desperately need, but it should have been done on their time. They didn't let that happen. The media is a push and shove to be first to break a story, and these victim's families have been pushed much too far. When I first saw this break the headline was about the fury of the families that this was leaked before they planned to, and then also sharing the video which made no sense. I feel like those families have been let down at every turn, and this was a chance to let them have that private moment important to them & their healing, and they were let down yet again. I agree this surveillance could & should exact change however this is still very fresh, and it is also still under investigation. The media is not catering to either cause, and they are also not empathetic to anyone let alone those families. That's where I was coming from... Like, we're not hearing this as evidence put forth in trial, we are hearing this while there is still an active investigation, before the families had planned to, and certainly without the consent to release that gut-wrenching audio of those babies. We are hearing this as a for-profit media stunt, and that is just unimaginable to me to think what those families must be feeling that's all💔

The tragedy is that although these officers arrived at the scene very quickly, and outnumbered the shooter seven to one, they lacked the courage to do the jobs they had signed up for. They should hand their badges in and lose their pensions. Every single one of them.
Probably was more like 24 to 1, and based on the performance of the police there it could have been 100 to 1 and they would have still just stood there.

I was in the National Guard and have always tried to support police. It's an incredibly difficult job and they deal with the worst of humanity....but those first 7 police who all had body armor (vests) are the most cowardly pieces of sh*t....a pure disgrace. Pathetic. Fuzzy was just pointing out that cutting out the scream seemed disingenuous since it can be seen as trying to disconnect the humanity from the very real situation we are being shown. What's absolutely worse is the police technically did not do anything again technically wrong since the supreme Court made a statement and enforced that police have no justification or responsibility to protect citizens. Therefore those police had no duty to actually protect those children their whole job basically at this point is clean up crew whether it's for a car accident or a mass shooter. This is absolutely disgusting. I don’t understand what possessed those cops to just stand there, much less RUN AWAY from the man who was taking children lives. Cops are trained for this, they wear bullet proof vests, they have the proper resources to handle this situation, and they just stand there. The editor removed the sounds of those innocent children screaming, but those cowards in the hall most certainly heard the cries of dying children. Just look at Chicago, New York & California. Hardest states to get a gun yet gun violence is thru the roof in those states.

I don’t understand what was the hold up for them to go in the classroom? Seems as though no one knew which directives to take..
They were waiting for orders to breach the classroom. However, there was no clear leadership to give the green light. The excuse the police chief on the scene came up with was that he didn't even know he was in charge. He thought there was someone else on the scene that outranked him.
So disgusted with these POS officers! That’s the job! They need to be fired and held accountable!

Those children deserve to be heard. Everyone should have to listen to them scream. It should give people nightmares. Maybe if the world could see and hear how terrible we are as humans then we might start to change.

Absolutely sickening. Who has the balls to kill 19 kids and 2 teachers? And the police officers were slacking!!!
How many injured could have survived if those 3 police at the start had done the right thing? They and all others who stood back should be charged with manslaughter for every kid and tecaher that is determined after autopsy to have most likely lived without the delay in getting medical assistance. And if they have footage to prove, also be charged for every victim shot after they 1st went up that hall then ran away
