- It's about time that the US got their human launch capability back. SpaceX's Crew Dragon will fly to the ISS on May 27th with two astronauts on board.
Of course I simulated the flight in Kerbal Space Program before it will happen.

Thanks, but your Crew Dragon is way more detailed, a true work of art. I had to work with the size constraints of 2.5m since the ISS is the same scale as my CCCP style vehicles. The Zarya an Zvezda parts are almost identical to modules I will show in the upcoming seventh episode of my Soviet Space History series.
â@@ShadowZone cheers :) I was impressed you squeezed the kerbals in there without the helmets clipping and that :) I made mine that size so the falcon can carry the 60 starlink sats too but I'm left with the predicament of needing ISS modules that wont fit into a MK3 shuttle bay, ps love your Soviet Space History series.

I really missed your videos and God speed to SpaceX first crew mission.
I didn't watch the whole speed build from video before but if you put the part of the P/S trusses that's closer to the station than the inner solar panels on a rotor you could use them to make the airflow work in your favour and not against and retain the functionally for in orbit. Also building some rocket stages around the COM for a SSTO station is better than only below ;)
i.e the fuel pods under the panels would have been better on the other axis at the same level but with the tops extended up well above the trusses etc.

@@marekverescak2493 dragon 2 is the name of the capsule, demo 2 is the name of the mission - second mission to demonstrate the dragon 2's capabilities

Camera Tools for the cinematic shots, Scatterer and Environmental Visual Enhancements to make it pretty, Kerbal Engineer Redux to help with the build and flying.

â@@ShadowZone Not much better here in Germany, although we do have more astronauts that have travelled to space. Maybe we should ask Elon Musk not only to build a Tesla factory in Europe, but also a "second home" for SpaceX.
Launch facilities in Europe don't make a lot of sense unless you recover all items. There's a reason the US launches from their East Coast and why Russia is moving their launch site to the Eastern sea border.
Spent boosters crashing down is not great for a densely populated area.

I'd also really like to know this. I got a Ryzen 5 2600 for better multi-thread performance but I didn't know that 1) I am GPU bottlenecked with my 1050ti & 2) KSP 1 isn't very multi-threaded. I hope KSP 2 can improve in this matter. Smooth performance, Smooth visuals and smooth part interconnectivity really does a lot to make the game seem AAA. It just gives a better experience when looking at a rocket blast off cleanly and realistically.
Yes, KSP does not utilize multithreading a lot due to the underlying Unity engine.
It also eats RAM, like a lot.
Many scenes in this video were sped up to create a smooth video, basically all sequences with the ISS run at 6x to 10x regular speed.

Actually the crew dragon launch ushered in a new era of human spaceflight and restored US capability to launch astronauts on its own soil. It's not the same as any regular soyuz flight.
