Every one who thinks abortion is bad, needs to work in a hospital or school and see what unwanted kids are. Babies born addicted to drugs. Kids with physical and mental issues due to lack of care, neglect and abuse. Emotionally disturbed kids who become violent due to their terrible home life. The list goes on and on. As a nurse it’s heart breaking to see these babies brought into a world where you know from day one their life is going to be hell, and a burden on society. Abortion and all forms of birth control have to stay available to all women.
The idea is not to get pregnant with unwanted children to begin with. All we want is for people to find a better alternative to birth control than killing innocent babies. Is that so much to ask? Can you handle that much?
Unwanted kids are a very unfortunate problem. But killing them is not a solution to their struggles. Abortion is wrong. If you actually care about these kids you wouldn’t be ok with them being killed.

@@Heidicode I can try to answer your points one by one, here. 1) Abortion laws are up to lawmakers, not the public at large. 2) LGBTQ folks can have 'hetero' encounters - that is especially true of bisexuals. A gay woman who is the victim of sexual assault might have need for an abortion. I agree, tho, it seems like a population that would have little need for abortion, for the most part. 3) Folks who have problems affording health care usually rely on Medicare or similar low-cost programs. Abortions can be covered under these systems.

So I am not from the US so maybe somebody could answer something that's always puzzled me about this. Pro-life is basically a right wing non liberal stance right? And right wingers are usually shall we say less tolerant of diversity. Now would I be right in saying that most women who get abortions are poor people, (and often black and Hispanic). As a man I believe a woman and a man should both have equal rights in the abortion matter. 1.If both want the baby - Proceed as normal 2. If both want don't want the baby - Abortion 3. If she doesn't want the baby - Abortion 4. If he doesn't want the baby - Abortion 5. If she wants the baby and he doesn't - She is obligated to take care of the baby and he doesn't have to contribute 6. If he wants the baby and she doesn't - This will contain an exception. Same as before but vice versa. She doesn't have to be in the child's life BUT she does NOT have to birth the child if she chooses not to. If a man is found to be the biological father and the mother does not wish to let him sign away rights, he is not given that option. Let the people vote, and if abortion is made illegal and women are forced to carry until delivery, anyone who voted to make abortion illegal should be forced to adopt two to three unwanted children and raise them to adulthood. I’m very confused on why lots of people are talking about that abortion are becoming “illegal” as from what I can tell the draft stated that it was up to each individual state to choose what laws they want to do. That’s not banning or making abortion, that’s having it be a states matter not a federal one. And of course probably at least half of states won’t change there laws and that’s fine and some will and that’s fine. If you live in a state that changes laws and you still wanna get one, you can still easy drive or take a bus to a state that has them and come back. My point is abortion’s will still be legal, just not in all states

Every one who thinks abortion is bad, needs to work in a hospital or school and see what unwanted kids are. Babies born addicted to drugs. As a nurse it’s heart breaking to see these babies brought into a world where you know from day one their life is going to be hell, and a burden on society. Abortion and all forms of birth control have to stay available to all women.

A gay woman who is the victim of sexual assault might have need for an abortion. I agree, tho, it seems like a population that would have little need for abortion, for the most part. 3) Folks who have problems affording health care usually rely on Medicare or similar low-cost programs. Abortions can be covered under these systems.

Q: If R v W is overturned will abortions become illegal? Right-wing argues that it is an autonomous life separate from the mother therefore it cannot be killed. 1.If both want the baby - Proceed as normal
2. If both want don't want the baby - Abortion
3. If she doesn't want the baby - Abortion
4. If he doesn't want the baby - Abortion
5. If she wants the baby and he doesn't - She is obligated to take care of the baby and he doesn't have to contribute
6. If he wants the baby and she doesn't - This will contain an exception. Same as before but vice versa. She doesn't have to be in the child's life BUT she does NOT have to birth the child if she chooses not to. Also, if birthed He will be lawfully in charge of paying not only medical bills of the birth but also any bill beforehand (such as ultrasound etc.) At the end of the day, with her going through with the birth, she's putting herself at risk of injury including death and that's not right

If a man is found to be the biological father and the mother does not wish to let him sign away rights, he is not given that option. Also if a man has acted as a father, but later finds out he is not the biological father, in some jurisdictions he may still be forced to pay child support.

I know everyone has their own opinion regarding abortion and I do understand those who oppose it and I understand why. Unfortunately, even if abortion is outlawed here in the U.S., desperate women will still get abortions any way they can, law or no law, safe or unsafe. Also, even if women are forced to go through with an unwanted pregnancy, where are we going to put all those unwanted children? The foster care system will eventually become overwhelmed. What are we going to do then, build orphanages again? That seems like a step backwards to me. We're supposed to be in the 21st century, but it looks like a lot of people in this country want us to revert back to the late 19th and early 20th century.

Let the people vote, and if abortion is made illegal and women are forced to carry until delivery, anyone who voted to make abortion illegal should be forced to adopt two to three unwanted children and raise them to adulthood. Put your money where your mouth is people. If you want it, you got it, but you're going to help alleviate the strain by adopting.
I’m very confused on why lots of people are talking about that abortion are becoming “illegal” as from what I can tell the draft stated that it was up to each individual state to choose what laws they want to do. That’s not banning or making abortion, that’s having it be a states matter not a federal one. And of course probably at least half of states won’t change there laws and that’s fine and some will and that’s fine. If you live in a state that changes laws and you still wanna get one, you can still easy drive or take a bus to a state that has them and come back. My point is abortion’s will still be legal, just not in all states
