    I mean, philosophy wise, he was. Peter’s whole given reason for being a hero is exactly the argument Cap was making;
“When you can do the things that I can, but you don’t, and then the bad things happen…they happen because of you.” Peter only aligned with Tony because he was star struck with no understanding of what was even going on.
Plus, ya know, *_Cap_* is Peter’s idol in the canon comics.

Ironically enough to my eyes in No Way Home most of the things Pete did was basically what Rogers does. He actually paid the price of freedom by making Dr Strange forget about Peter Parker to prevent the Multiverse of becoming a barren wasteland

I kinda hoped that peter in Homecoming would still be under Iron-man but will also secretly train under Captain America to become both a better fighter with morals and a tech genius. And when he fights in the final battle, with steve and tony both by his side, (maybe against a whole army of Ex Stark Employee's and also impacted Team Cap in a way), he could do better then both of them. He could truly become Spider-man in this scene. By combining both Tech and Training to defeat these villians.

Can you do a video about what would have happened if Doctor Strange first warned Spider-Man about the memory spell before doing the spell during Spider-Man No Way Home? What would have happened if the first spell Doctor Strange performed turned out to be as how it was supposed to go?

I'm all for Irondad and Spiderson, but Tony quite literally blackmailed him to go to Germany by threatening to tell Aunt May.
And that right there is a major red flag.
Not to mention Natasha and Steve are extremely against child soldiers, so even if I believe Peter should have been on team cap, it wouldn't happen since Steve doesn't want to get a superpowered teenager involved in this mess.
Also hate to break it to ya, but if Tony and Peter didn't have this father-son relationship in the MCU, then the snapped people in infinity war wouldn't return. Peter would dust all the same, except Tony wouldn't do anything about the dusting. The only reason Tony actually gave it a second chance was for Peter, and since Tony still had Rhodey and Pepper and then his daughter Morgan, he had all he needed. Tony would have no reason to undo the snap if not for Peter Parker.

Apart from Captain America Civil War, Do you think we should have seen him bond more with them and the other MCU heroes? I mean come on when Spider-Man was a protege for Iron Man, He never bonded with War Machine and Pepper Potts AKA Rescue

  • @28starwarsfan

Tony defying the Accords in order to secure the Accords by recruiting a 15 year old who he keeps secret is one of the things (two of the things when considering the underage thing and lying to the kid's guardian) that makes me lean towards Steve in the movie. He's acting on guilt and anger and emotion the whole show. It also goes to his "has to be right and the biggest person in the room" character flaw that his whole MCU journey is about. It fits. Not that I agree with it, but it fits. That's why I'm always surprised how many people who watch this movie side with Tony.
In fact, both Peter and Bucky exemplify the argument against Tony and the Accords. Peter says he does what he does because if you can do something and you don't, you're basically responsible for it. Great power, great responsibility. How can the Avengers take responsibility when they aren't allowed to act for themselves.
Of course, the Cap side of the argument is not perfect, but still, Peter makes a good point in the first meeting with Tony, but Tony ignores it and persuades the underaged kid to fight and hides it from his aunt.
Bucky was an embodiment of the Avengers under the Accords. A powerful weapon to be wielded by a governmental body of leaders with their own agendas. Politicians, too. They're the worst. Anyone who thinks people like Trump or Biden (or any other shady leader as it was the UN) should have had complete power to send the avengers to do what they want or bar them from helping when they don't want it. In the Avengers first movie, if they had done as they were told, they'd have abandoned Manhattan to be nuked.
Bucky was a tool. He couldn't choose for himself. He ended up commiting horrible acts for decades at the command of his overseers. So, when Tony is furious about the death his parents (an understandable emotion) and then points that emotion at Bucky (something he does the whole movie, feels a bad emotion, points it at someone else) Steve tries to tell him Bucky had no choice in doing it. Tony says he doesn't care. That's another nail against the Tony/Accords arguments. The heroes should be indiovidually accountable for their own actions.

Are you crazy? The shell head was a horrible mentor, and I hate that Spidey's entire existence in the MCU revolves around Iron Man, including the villains' motivations. If anything, Cap would've connected with Peter a lot better and would encourage him to be a hero on his own terms which would make the webhead actually act like Spider-Man and not Iron Brat. Also, if Spidey was on Cap's side, Steve would convince Peter to stay street-level and not forget what he's fighting for, so Peter wouldn't really care about joining the Avengers. This guy isn't really focusing on the important aspects of Spider-Man but on the MCU, which I still believe Spider-Man shouldn't have been added to.

As much as I love Peter and Tony's relationship in the movies, I feel it would've felt more 'Spider-Man-ey'. Yes, I know that's the opposite of what happened in the comics, but I wasn't much of a fan of that particular twist, personally.

I agree with what you're saying about Homecoming connecting to the civil war. For me personally the sokovia accords (and that movie) doesn't really play a major effect on the MCU, all does is introduced super heroes (like Scott, peter and T'challa) to the avengers which was done or could have been done in solo movies. I mean we don't see how accords affect anyone in major ways other than Ant-man, no one else.

Ot would be a cool episode, but the way they went about it was perfect, and it led to even more greatness down the line. The only part that makes no sense is that Tony wants the avengers to be "coached or led" but spideys anonymous identity fits more with caps thinking. But we wouldnt have gotten the iron spider when we did, although i wish it was red and gold like the comics. But with Sony involved, we didnt have many options. Still, 👍👍👍
