I spent many a day skiving off and watching the cricket and visiting the NAAFI club on St, Mary's island then wandering through the woods to the river side path to watch the boats across the water at Upnor, worked at Battery corner then Torpedo stores during my time during the 60's.

I was on that island in 2014 and thought it would be a good place to live if I ever were to settle in the Medway zone

25:03 - I recommend the Historic Dockyard to everyone who visits the reason. The entry fee might deter might deter people, true, but it's a most interesting site to explore.
