Very informative, Dan! I am comparing costs with our $270k condo in Portland: property taxes $4800; utilities $2400; cell phone/internet $1500; trash and water included in HOA $7200. I think a modest cozy 2-bedroom primary house in Bretagne valued at $100k would have lower costs?? Thanks. Dean & Cindy

Definitely, but it only plays on the taxes, utilities would remain similar except for energy bills for heating. Waste, internet, etc will stay the same.

@@FrenchEstateAgent We asked about a property and Jenny SMALL responded. Thank you! There are so many wonderful and uniquely different regions to choose from. We can't decide if we should vacation for 90 days select a house, make an offer, return to the States to then begin the LSV process. Or, just start the LSV and buy a house after moving there.... as retired folks it's great to have choices. I think.
