    The Carpet is to conceal your noises and insulates. My husband hunts and built one very close to this one if it was twice the size. It had a small wood stove setup in it... and a stand up small air conditioner for the summertime... so very cool

      @@Carmensrt They can be found in far Siberia, but he is in Ukraine, so I was confused by why a Sandhill crane would be there. But maybe since they can be found in far Siberia, maybe they got lost? So the other guess would be Whooping Crane, that is the only other crane with the red mark but that one has an even smaller range in N.America not even a possibility. I think with global warming, maybe some birds are ending up in some different part than usual. 😕

    Let's see, the type of bird that appears at the beginning of the video is a common crane, not an oversized woodpecker. Cranes breed in northern Europe and migrate to southern Europe and northern Africa in winter. But well, the rest is fine.

    The is the Sandhill Crane, and they're awesome! Can be pretty dangerous to even large dogs.

    Those are a type of whooping cranes . They migrate here past new Mexico in the fall and winter

    by the way, the white part of the chocolate is from the chocolate melting and resolidifying - still tastes fine but the fat in the chocolate redistributes and looks weird

    Cranes, not woodpeckers.
    Cranes bring newborn babies to the mother according to the old legends. It will arrive with the baby wrapped in a piece of cloth that the crane holds from its beak. Not sure if this is from viking age or later.

      You aren't right. They are common cranes (grus grus) not demoiselle cranes (grus virgo). Damoiselle aren't common at this zone, and they are apparently different.
