So the other guess would be Whooping Crane, that is the only other crane with the red mark but that one has an even smaller range in N.America not even a possibility. I think with global warming, maybe some birds are ending up in some different part than usual. 😕

You aren't right. They are common cranes (grus grus) not demoiselle cranes (grus virgo). Damoiselle aren't common at this zone, and they are apparently different.
