I saw this in imax 3d and it was one of the the most amazing experiences ever

i watched this in 4D it was so cool you can like feel the air when they are flying and the seats move so its like so immersive!!!
This must have been so cool for them!! because they also know what has been going on behind the scenes which would have been a whole other experience for them but seeing what the results looked like after all is just like WOAH! for them cause that would have been a big like "wow oh my lord that is so amazing how do they get it to look this amazing?!" they were shocked when they saw it!! i love the movie by the way and i so so soooo can't wait for it to come out!!
IMAX was EPIC! Way better than old 3D. I want to watch it now in normal to compare. :D

Actors can only imagine their surroundings when shooting. Seeing it for real is even more of an experience than for the average Joe.

Is 3d in a regular theater worth it? We have a podunk theater in our down and I really want to try the 3d but I feel like I'll be disappointed with just some cheapy glasses. But so tempted still haha.
Awesome Video, but too bad most of your Regal Cinemas in the USA look NOTHING like this.... outdated auditoriums with torn up seats and ultra dim projectors! Start investing in the US theaters like AMC.... Please!

couldnât agree more. i live in GA and i only have two real imax theaters in the entire state. all of the other ones are 2k xenon projectors and offer nothing like the real ones

Make sure you watch the first one though! Best modern movie franchise hands down! The last one left that has not been destroyed by terrible writing or agendas and is truly passionate filmmaking.

Well I did watch Avatar the way of water and it was AWSOME!!
What amazed me they never see the full experience on stage because of the steril grey of the mocap set, they need to wait the VFX team doing there magic behind this, it's true in 4k cinema and more on IMAX screen you see how amazing the na'vi sweat and skin look it's so real that you coud'nt see what is really shoot by real camera and what is a mix between cgi and real shot !!! Your just into the story.

Someone is not speaking because he knows what happened to his character and he might not be in Avatar 3.
I saw it in IMAX 3D today and I was thoroughly disappointed compared to first one, details might have been better but nothing popped out of the screen and variety of colors were lacking especially under water scenes. 3D technology was done much better in the first one. I won't be watch next one in theater but wait for 3D DVD for home theater. Oh btw I didn't hear any applause this time.
