I don't believe this "anxiety" theory. The few interviews he did, he was cool. It's more likely he is either busy, or doesn't get along with some people of the cast, or is making a depression (which would explain his little gain of weight in few months)

Doesn't mean it can't be good. There are tons of generic stories in movies that have been done before or have similarities. Also, there's an interview with James Cameron who talks about how going forward they will get a lot more wild and different. The 3rd movie will apparently show a Na'vi tribe that aren't good, who will be more the antagonists than the humans have been. It will be interesting to see how this all comes together for the 5th movie, which will apparently go back to Earth at some point.
