... I find it odd they couldn't get the rights to use a song owned by Disney... for a game published by Disney.

Hold on a sec. I was looking at some trivia about epic Mickey, and one of them said that instead of painting his face, you would destroy the thing that was playing the song, which was behind his face. Behind his face. The song, quite literally, was stuck in his head. I swear to god.

My favorite moment in the instrumental is when it holds over on the part where the lyrics would say "a world of tears", it makes the whole thing so much more threatening!

The clock represents everybody who's ever gone on the ride. Once you go on the ride, good luck getting back your sanity.

i got back from disney world yesterday and OMG you wont belive what happend when we where waiting in line the clock tower (in disney world the tower face goes way faster) it opend up and the 11 alclock numbers came out BUT the clock tower quit spining and the ride jamed and the clock tower face was facing strait and the lights went off and its face looked so creepy (i thought the arms would pop out and he would smash everone in the dark)

I’m watching a lot of epic Mickey videos remembering all the great memories
Even without the lyrical insanity, this was my favorite boss in the game.

To be honest, and I bet some people feel the same way but when he said "after listening to it over and over, it gets annoying". Well actually I would love to be the clock because I love that song, and I would listen to it 24/7...

Lavender Town has a sinister undertone. Its presentation is ominous and unknown. For such an unfamiliar and shrouded location, the music crawls up your spine.
The Clock Tower's boss theme, on the other hand... It's brash and violent. It twitches and lunges at you with complete madness. No subtlety there.
Weirdly, the boss music for the Clock Tower is one of my favorite tracks,
and I purposely play it on a loop for a long period of time.
Fun fact: If you reverse his theme, you will hear the song with lyrics

Well due to epic being a new thing disney did want to put to much of there properties at risk

I'm getting insane when I hear this song! It's like in the Lion King when Scar asks Zazu to sing something more bouncy. Then Zazu goes: "It's a small world after all..." and Scar goes insane: "NO, no, ANYTHING but THAT!!" LOL! Totally agree with him there! And this creepy version of it really WAS creepy! I'm totally going to get nightmares now!!

Fun fact: Disney World's Small World did NOT have a clock tower originally. It was initially a hodge-podge of different technicolored structures and landmarks with Mary Blair's stylized design and color-changing water fountains. From 2004 to 2005, the ride underwent a major refurbishment and the facade was changed to more closely resemble the one in Disneyland. It also used to have one unhappy resident (not the clock tower), but that's another story altogether.
I love this boss! I prefer doing the good path for him, but it's kinda funny to thinner him and see him say "It seems my time has come."
Ya know, the fact that painting the clock turns off the music to calm the clock tower or thinning its arms and face to pretty much put the poor thing out of its misery, i feel pretty sorry and cant blame the tower for its attitude.
And the fact Epic Mickey is getting a remastered version in the future, I wonder if they'll make the clock tower twice as scary

The irony of the Haunted Mansion's presentation is its jolly atmosphere--which is seen through its ghoulish circumstances. On the other hand, Epic Mickey took something completely innocent and malformed it with our not-so-innocent perceptions.

I remember I purchased a train at Disneyland with a different tune. The tune was more of a lullaby tune, however after just 4 months of not playing it the tune changed to 'It's a Small World" so everytime I turn the train on. "It's Small World" plays, over and over.
Time is a world that's really really small and it's very small after all...I had to do that!!!!

BTW, for what it's worth, I would like to blurt out one thing I think could have/should have been different about the Clock Tower boss fight: I wish that at regular intervals, the dolls- also warped to insanity- would come out and try to stab Mickey with weaponized props.
I feel like that would be too scary for some kids, even for epic Mickey…

No, that was a fan who warped the lyrics and added them to the song for the heck of it, adding the words "what have I done?!" to the video title for their fan version.

Although Disney was involved in the creation of this game, they weren't the complete creators of it. They actually ended up shutting down the gaming studio behind Epic Mickey. Disney was actually only partially involved with this game, surprisingly.

Which version of "it's a small world" do you think is the best? The version with the Mary Blair style that's seen in most Disney parks or the Disneyland Paris version that has its own style?

If there’s ever a Collection of remasters for both games, minus The 3ds games, I hope they mix the instrumental and lyrical version together.

you forgot electric if the lyice were going to be in the game that If you were going to redeem the Clock Tower, you had to paint his arms, so they would take you up to it's face. Then it would swing open and you had to smash a record player, stopping the constantly repeating music and ceasing the Tower's rage (it would explain the "Stop the music" pin).
With the lyrics is just plain... Creepy.
