Great video, very thorough! I got rid of mine just before coming across this, but I probably would've been able to get the batteries out backwards with this method. Good stuff.

My cap is stuck so good that it twisted the coin and didn’t budge. Will have to soak it and try one last time before drilling.

Great video. I soaked mine with PB blaster but could not get it to budge. I cut about 1-2 mm off the end with a hack saw, then i found your video, will soak and cut new slot. Fun stuff. I no longer buy alkaline batteries as all brands i have used leaked and ruined otherwise good equipment. Even batteries that were not that old leaked. I use rechargeable batteries and so far none have leaked.

I recently bought a Mac mini mid 2011 and I wanted a good keyboard so I bought an A1314 Magic Keyboard and they said the battery cap was seized so hopefully this helps

@Repair2Renew Hi have you done any repairs on the Magic Trackpad A1339 Model. Mine came out of storage after 5-6 years (no batteries left in it) and when attempting to pair with my M1 MacBook Air it would connect/disconnect 'till it stopped working all together - no green light; any suggestions?

I"m a bit lost at 7:22 , are you just applying a left-ward force? Should it be met with a lot of resistance? I'm giving it all my strength but it seems attached to whatever is on the right side of it. It feels like I'm about to break something 😅 Any help is appreciated :D

Gonna try this on mine. Question though, I thought isopropyl alcohol would damage the electronics. Is that a myth?

99% won’t damage it, it can dissolve adhesives though,
Best to be careful and also not turn it on until it’s all dried
Recently dropped my phone in the sink, I immediately turned it off and disconnected battery and squirted a bit of 99% just on the main board, waited a couple days and the phone is fully functional so it must have worked to get rid of the water
