I need to try this with a bottle of Spanish cava. Hmmm. I might make a small twist in the recipe, at the end, a soupcon of dry Spanish fino sherry, and I mean a small amount, a teaspoon.

I love Spanish shrimp with garlic. For someone who is doing this for the first time, I would recommend cooking the shrimp in the oil first and adding the garlic just before the end. The risk of the garlic burning is therefore much lower.
If the garlic burns your heat is too high. The object here is to infuse the oil with the lightly toasted garlic flavor before the shrimp go in. Adding the garlic at the end risks overcooking the shrimp or eating raw garlic.

I like garlic toast but I need bread that is soft and stays soft after baking. Impossible?
Add them into a bowl right after baking and cover with a plate, the steam will soften the bread :)

Toast the paprika in the pan dry for 20-30 seconds while stirring it. Then add the oil and garlic. This brings out the paprika flavor, and makes it more homogenous with the oil. And just no to using margarine in anything. It tastes terrible, is bad for you, and shouldn't even exist.
