Any time Tyler escapes Dema, Nico (his Bishop) finds him. If you notice, it was when Tyler was staring into the fire lost in his thoughts that he is most vulnerable to recapture.
And it also shows that someone can be trapped in a cycle of depression even in a group of friends and supporters.
The people with the yellow tape are called the Bandito’s. This MV and Jumpsuit were filmed in Iceland.

A huge theme for Twenty Øne Piløts is the seemingly endless cycle of failure, sin, mental health, etc etc. So Nico and Niners are also known as Blurryface and the Bishops. In these stories that you’ve been watching Tyler is trying to break free from the bishops and their false religion. Trying to leave the darkness into the light, or leave the life of addiction or poor mental health, to a life of freedom and flourishing. Everytime Tyler gets out, he gets caught and dragged back to the city. So just as we often have seasons in our life when things get better, and we have victories… we also fall back into old ways… we Backslide.
Continue on with the videos to continue the stories. Chlorine or the Hype should be one of the next ones.
And I'm completely in love with them! They are so good as far as musicality but then u put this deeper meaning and then a visual story on top and boom...instantly one of my all time favs and it been like 3 weeks listening lol. @jeditear1 don't u go no where cuz ima need u further down this journey

The city Dema (the location of Nico and the Niners) represents a place of depression mentally, the 9 bishops represent certain insecurities, Nico, aka Blurryface, is the leader. Every citizen of Dema gets a bishop assigned to him, Nico is Tyler's. Trench is the Continent outside of Dema, the only ways to get there is through an underground passage that the Banditos built (what you see at the end of Nico and the Niners) and the location of Jumpsuit, East of Dema and up the cliff, hence, East is Up. The Banditos are those who escaped Dema and live in Trench.

The line "I got back what I once bought back in that slot I won't need to replace" is a call back to their song from Vessel called 'Car Radio', which goes like this... "I have these thoughts so often I ought to replace that slot with what I once bought cause somebody stole my car radio and now I just sit in silence"

Tyler was sitting around the fire with the Banditos and still was captured by Nico, and they didn't do anything to stop Tyler from being dragged away. Someone can go through depression and be surrounded by people, and with suicidal thoughts. With family & friends you can "Levitate with just a little help." The color🌼 yellow represents suicide prevention. 💛

To me: "The Livestream Experience" is next...this shows what happen directly after he was re-captured...then "Shy Away", then "Choker"...and THEN "Saturday"...however, "officially", "Saturday" is what comes next in the story (for some reason)...

the banditos are the people in the yellow - they are there to help encourage people to escape Dema - they put the yellow tape on to help encourage
you can see at the beginning of the video how confident Tyler is since he has just escaped Dema, then as the song goes on you can see he starts to doubt himself, he starts to doubt his musical capabilities in the lyrics
his insecurities creep in so much that Nico comes back for him and drags him back to Dema and this is the last of the Trench album, so when their album after that picks up (Scaled and Icy) - Tyler is trapped in Dema and being completely controlled by the bishops (hooded figures/Nico and the Niners)

I did Shy Away next cuz it was in the "The Story" playlist but now since then I have finished Saturday and The Outside and realized that shy away the performance video at least isn't part. Saturday transition to The Outside blew my socks off! I'm thinking I'm probably going to have to get a ticket to see them on this tour!🙌🏽

Glad you enjoyed this one so much, it's a lot of fun to sing along to when you know all the words. the line at the end 'welcome to Trench' is referenced in the intro to Overcompensate when tyler says 'Welcome back to trench'
i love the line 'by track 2 at least they all know all they hear comes from a place' as this is the second track on the album and is referencing how these songs are all in some way related to the story of Trench and the world tyler created (he taps his head when he delivers this line). this song comes directly after jumpsuit on the album and the songs mix together so well that you don't even hear the transition to levitate at first.

I would love to see reactions for them but if you would want to watch them on your own time it’s understandable and I would still highly recommend 😊 reactions would be amazing though since you could add your own thoughts/commentary/perspective as a videographer yourself!

I must say that if I’m understanding you correctly here, when your saying that you have basically zero knowledge of the lore and are kinda just winging it as far as your interpretation of these videos and such……then props man, cause holy shit my dude your doing some freaking work here! Perception skills are on point! I mean now I’m not saying that everything is 100% correct or whatever, but…the amount of shit your pulling from these videos is/are quite outstanding when compared to a fair few of these other reactors who’ve been reacting to their stuff for far, far longer than you have my dude! If you want a good Music Video to break down from the videographer perspective, the single best video TOP has for that is My Blood. Super good song, even better music video. It isnt part of the story/lore though.

Not sure if you picked it up but these videos represent a cycle. The cycle of mental health & depression etc. if you go back to Nico & the miners when he puts the flower in the box it already contains a number of flowers, shows this has occurred over & over.
There is a series of behind the scenes for these videos that are interesting but also amusing… you get to learn a little about the boys character & friendship as well as about shooting the vids.
