My personal tool philosophy is to buy them when I need them. Drives me nuts to see unused tools in my box. Tonight I ordered a couple of spot drills, carbide, because I need them for something I'm building. I think this video may illustrate an opposite approach. There's no right or wrong here. Very impressive SO collection.
When you need the tools for your living it's a different matter... there's nothing worse than starting a job then realising your missing that vital tool..

Precision tools are on a whole different level of expensive, and often task-specific, and I don't want them sitting in a drawer just to say they're there. It's ridiculous. If one works with hand tools and handheld power tools, then I'd expect him to have the tools he needs. We don't all live in the same tool world. HTH
Your kids will thank you for your investment, beautiful. Not a mechanic by trade either but snap on makes some of the greatest hand tools imo and I had to get some!

Hey brother, I just ran your channel. I absolutely love this setup. I have a 56" top and bottom that I keep as neet and organized. I used to do shop work but I have left the business. My box and tools means as much to me as one of my cars, trucks or guns. It is definitely a sense of pride. Unless you feel it you would not understand. It's the same as a collection of old trains, toys, Hot wheels, etc.. The difference is all of our tools are useful, we get to create and repair others dreams and hobbies. I wonder what the weight is on that socket and wrench drawer is.
Bro has more tools at home than master mechanics that have been in the grade for 60 years could even dream of owning… the amount of money and redundancy in this box is not necessary but it is impressive. Especially for a home box for a guy that doesn’t do it professionally. Easily over 100k in that box probably closer to 200k

80K+ tool setup!?!?!?! I know a guy that has that similar setup, however he makes over 100K a year from it. he has a 72 inch Snap-on at his home for his own cars, but my GAWD! I'm building a "Dream Garage" for myself building is50'X65'. The working heated and cooled space is 50'X38'X12' cemented with 28' of new storage cabinets including my Snap on boxes with various tools and 2 full post lifts 20 8ft LED lighting etc, etc and I bet I still didn't spend as much as this tool setup cost !! GEEZUS!!
I'm not gonna be like some people and rag on you about "buying tools you dont need" because tools are always a wise investment, and as my father would so eloquently put, "You can never have too many tools." But I do hope to God you got an insurance policy for this, because thats *_a lot_* of money there.

Henchman tools now have a US subsidiary and they specialize in custom foam for toolboxes. I’m not a customer of their or afilkiated to them or any employee.. but I’ve seen their boxes at an airline I go to and they are lovely.

Im just upgraning to an 84" epiq from my 73" classic. Your setup is crazy lol. If I could afford whats going on here, id do it. I love buying tools, I use everything I buy. I usually only buy stuff I need. Only have a couple tools i bought just to have because I thought they were neat.

Great box and tools I’ve never seen so many negative comments he has a fleet of vehicles and he works in race cars there’s a guy up the street from me that has 2x more than he has and his stuff was not even near a million dollars he has 2 friends that’s are dealers I have a Matco dealer in my family once again nice set up you need to make more videos my girlfriend soon and I try to work on stuff he likes mechanics I’m working on getting us both nice boxes congratulations my friend
I admire the box and have a matco myself.. BUT... 18 years ago I took over a Midas muffler and brakes.. The first day the 3 employees never showed... I was all alone, me, my 185 piece husky tool kit and the 3 car lifts... I put a sign out help wanted and an hour later comes in a guy and I hired him on spot... next morning he shows up with a small plumber type tool box...barely anything in it.... WE DID IT... George and I ran that shop together and we did it with a claw nail hammer...No air tools and a 185 piece husky set.... of course as time went on we bought what we needed and after 15 years when contract was up I sold and retired.... I still only needed a box which is a barely full matco cart to do EVERYTHING on a car .. A/C... Electrical...Brakes...Front end...Trans motors... Everything....and I was a Master tech shop owner / Mechanic....
All I have to do is show this to my wife and say..”see hunny, I’m not that bad buying tools after all!”..thanks man you helped me out so much!

For home that’s fine but for a professional you will have some unused tools that come in handy once or twice, and you’ll be so thankful you have them.

Great box and tools I’ve never seen so many negative comments he has a fleet of vehicles and he works in race cars there’s a guy up the street from me that has 2x more than he has and his stuff was not even near a million dollars he has 2 friends that’s are dealers I have a Matco dealer in my family once again nice set up you need to make more videos my girlfriend soon and I try to work on stuff he likes mechanics I’m working on getting us both nice boxes congratulations my friend

I admire the box and have a matco myself.. BUT... 18 years ago I took over a Midas muffler and brakes.. The first day the 3 employees never showed... I was all alone, me, my 185 piece husky tool kit and the 3 car lifts... I put a sign out help wanted and an hour later comes in a guy and I hired him on spot... next morning he shows up with a small plumber type tool box...barely anything in it.... WE DID IT... George and I ran that shop together and we did it with a claw nail hammer...No air tools and a 185 piece husky set.... of course as time went on we bought what we needed and after 15 years when contract was up I sold and retired.... I still only needed a box which is a barely full matco cart to do EVERYTHING on a car .. A/C... Electrical...Brakes...Front end...Trans motors... Everything....and I was a Master tech shop owner / Mechanic....
