You were never just a token Sir, you were a well spoken, well respected reporter. Thank you gentlemen.
Alright, let's not overdo it.
@@koleberdinoch926he is, I'd happily have him on gbnews more often.
@@libertasdemocratiam887 agreed but there's only one of him. Who are the gentlemen OP is thanking?

Traitor
What a national treasure this gentleman is 🫡 sir Trevor
Who doesn't love Sir Trevor? A real National Treasure.
Well overrated
Trevor such a brilliant broadcaster
Trevor McDonald, Peter Sissons and Moira Stewart, people who reported the facts and let you make up your own mind…..those were the days!

Trevor MacDonald has one of the best voices in TV. I’ve always adored this man, from when i was a kid. I used to watch News At Ten purely for him. The man is a National Treasure. 😍❤️ There was no opinion with Trevor, he just reported.
I'd love to see Sir Trevor on gbnews going forward, even just as a panelist. What a legend!
I’ve always liked Trevor McDonald. He comes across as a lovely man and he has an authoritative voice that people listen to.
Tonight with Trevor McDonald was one of the greatest feature shows in British history. Absolute legend!
Nonsense
@@fidgetspinner343 O...K...
Trevor McDonald what a Legend :)
100 percent
Very distinguished & accomplished news presenter who is highly respected.....
I wonder what he thinks of GB news & friends?
Priceless......
No doubt he thinks you’re a scum-bum.
He obviously liked them enough to make an appearance
Trevor McDonald is nearly 85. Very sharp and articulate
Wow, never thought I’d see these two talk. Cool stuff.
What a wonderfully eloquent and thoughtful man
Legendary cadence.
brilliant segment with two of Britains finest. Your work goes unnoticed
Great interview, thanks!!
excellent interview
Fantastic man
I really enjoyed watching and listening to this. Thank you.
Trevor Mcdonald fantastic bloke...
Trevor McDonald - Legend.
Good to see Sir Trevor on the telly again and enjoying his retirement.
Always a joy to listen to Mr McDonald
Why was this so short!!? Love these two geezas!
John kept interrupting Trevor to ask questions. Made me cringe.
No he didn't. Sir Trevor spoke for at least 80% of the interview. John is the interviewer aswell. He has to ask questions. Hardly piers morgan
Love Sir Trevor 💕
I'd love to be able to to rewind time to when this guy graced our screens. He made me care about news reporting.
You're zipping through the discussion points, was hoping for a much longer interview
Awwww I've missed his wee face and voice!!
Such an incredible speaker ❤
"I live in a mixed marriage", "Is your wife Catholic?", "No, she's white." Classic
where can you watch this full show outside of the UK?
As a child in the 90's coming from a mixed race family ? I never seen his skin colour... he was never a token. He was the news guy, who told the news the best, who reported on actual facts he found out! He went investigating the answers. There is a reason he is now a Sir. And he damn well earned it. Thank Sir! Thank you for being the true principle of being British!
The background extras are like something out of Monty Python
a fantastic news reporter. Delivered straight facts
Thank you Sir Trevor!
Just to correct the record, Mandela's eye problems were not a result of being damaged by "splinters" from the rocks he broke on Robben Island. They were damaged by the sun's reflective glare from the lime stone in the quarry. Much like the damage from snow. A number of prison guards working on Robben Island suffered the same malady.
Thanks, the splinter answer didn't quite make sense to me, however this answer makes much more sense since too much sun glare can degenerate the eye and cause it to see ''splinters'' in its field of vision (types of distortions where they looked into the sun return when they see bright lights again).
He was such a good newsreader
I saw Trevor outside Landsdown Road Dublin reporting on the Ireland vs Northern Ireland game back in the 80s some serious tension at that game
2 extremely intellectual men,enjoyed listening to that,thankyou.🤓🙏
Trevor Mcdonald is a legend
Must have been hard for him to report on South Africa in the 80's a true gentleman ❤
Nice to see Trev still knocking about…. 😀
Really good interview we ❤ Sir McDonald 🇭🇲🇭🇲🇭🇲😎😎
Such a wonderful man is Sir Trevor McDonald
This is so wonderful both legends ❤
Ok great interview, but the nuns in the background LOL why?
brilliant interview.
thoroughly enjoyed.!
😉☺️😊😄

* my granny was a mick
and
my grandad was a proddie
worked out a treat for them .
60 yrs they were married.!
😆
I saw him on the tube one day around 7am. It was 2010. He’s very tall
Black guy, in media, but you know he loves England, not bitter, that's why we love him. Not like today, they are bitter and hate the Country, especially in the BBC. I'm surprised if he even sees Race.
"I'm surprised if he even sees Race" What does that even mean?
@@edy1361it means that he doesn’t mention people’s skin colour every two minutes like most media corporations
@@crazytrain216 So like the opposite to just about every other black man then... That's a refreshing change.
Sir Trevor is a gentleman and a national treasure.
Reminds me of TISWAS , remember that ? Good old Trevor Mc Doughnut ...all good clean fun !
Trevor McDonald is a class act!
What the heck is going on behind Trevor? Looks better bizarre.
It's just a pair off nuns playing poker and knitting what's your point
Trevor has that Des Lynam smoothness
This interview has some interesting moments, but why on earth is it filmed in such a daft setting? Detracts from the weight of what is being said.
What the heck is going on with the set
Why are there people dressed up in the background? Am I missing something?
Atmosphere
It's monty pythonesque
It's John Cleese by the way. Haven't seen the cats yet, eh? 😻
Never heard of Trevor McDonald, but looks intriguing to me, he must have been reporting years before I was born, he should go on GB News as a presenter
Brilliant interview, love Trevor, he was awesome back when journalists were actually journalists. Imagine interviewing Hussain and Mandela, that's quite a resume.
2 legend's I love jon cleese so much thanks for monty python
This show is so refreshing. Love John Cleese anyway. But as far as television goes here in the States, nobody's got the attention span these days for genuine thought-provoking conversation. (although this did move along at pretty fast clip). What a novel idea!
Two British legends! 🏴
Back when news was respected and respectable. (I’m 37 yrs old, so no dinosaur here with rose tinted glasses)
Was this filmed in a dark souls boss room? damn
Why knitting nuns?
Sir Trevor. What a gent he is
What an absolute G
Back when the mainstream was mainstream.
Trevor looks incredible for 84! Twenty years younger at least!
What is the idea with this insane set?
You must be new. Haven't seen the cats yet, eh? C'mon, it's John Cleese! 😻
Absolute ICON
What a wonderful man Trevor is. A true pro
Saddam destroyed him with his first answer in that interview “ IS IT A BRITISH THING “
Shout out Trever McDonald - has interviewed some of the most important figures of the 20th century.
Love Sir Trevor 🏴
It is refreshing to hear positivity surrounding Madiba, Nelson Mandela, since in South Africa today, the very people he dedicated his life to are calling him a sell out & other despicable things.
And there lies the juxtaposition, the ones that fought the fight came out positive and human, the ones who got the freedom of that struggle doing absolutely nothing, are coming out full of bitterness & hate, with no serious discussions only destruction.
I weep for my country, because we are such a warm & welcoming nation & there was a time where it looked like we would be a solid example for the rest of the world.
Thank you Sir.
Must have been pretty scary with Tony Blair too... if he only knew
Love Sir Trevor. I wish he'd been able to talk at his leisure re Saddam & Mandela interviews. Fascinating insights.
The Robin Island Prisoners quarried rocks in all weathers, no sunglasses or protective eyewear. The glare alone damaged their eyesight.
John Cleese is hilarious 😂
I was just wondering which masonic lodge they were sitting in belonged to.
Amazing part of gb news. 2 nation treasure
The statesman news man
Wow he is still alive
Living legend
If only gb news has news presenters like him and not the crass ones they have
The Catholics don't march in Protestant areas during 'Marching season'
Never a token
I love this man
Compromise? Hmmmm… what an interesting concept
His blue eyes are so pretty
Saddam dissed him right at the beginning
Trever Mc donut is a leg end x.
... in his own lunchtime
Why are there nuns knitting in the background when though lol, why can’t they just do a normal interview?
Why is John Cleese interviewing him? Why are their men in bowler hats and nuns in the background?
More quality content from GB news 🙄🤦♂️
OMGOSH I wish this interview would just be quiet and let him finish speaking!🤦🏼♀️
Deport
the nuns in the background sewing hehe , i'm surprised they didn't join them in conversation
Bong!
I right clicked a little over a minute into the interview when the host cut in on what the guest was saying which was interesting to hear comments coming from someone who has been in the media for that long. I'm a fan of John's humour but he's not a great interviewer.
🙂🙂🙂
