- For some reason I currently own 2 VB WRX's.....This is a direct comparison of my bone stock 2022 Base 6mt wrx and my Cobb OTS tuned 2022 base 6mt wrx. I am pretty impressed with the results, and I will be curious what a protune may offer beyond this on my otherwise stock car.

Thank you! I'm just not sure if I should go drunkmann off the shelf tune, or pro tune from him. Being stock I can't imagine there is much benefit to a protune, but I'll ask them today.

I don't want to kill my clutch but if I got real wild I think I could nab a 13.4 with a nasty clutch dump and a 1.8 60ft

Orange or better known by subaru as “orange pearl sunburst” is not an ugly color. If you look at the entire color spectrum of what he WRX it’s least color of a availability. That color vehicle cost more for than all available colors and it rare. Rare means its cost is more than the typical color especially the standard Rally Blue.
I suppose it's just a matter of opinion :) Solar orange pearl isn't for me. The sapphire blue is more up my alley.
Did you like the orange at first, then grew to not like it over time? I wanted an orange initially but ended up with ice silver. I keep thinking about the orange though.
At first was totally okay with it, but I grew to loath it. It attracts attention EVERYWHERE. Plus, I keep seeing this solar orange crosstrek and they won't stop waving at me. I'm petty. I'd keep your silver car imo!
@Matt Querio's Cars that is funny about the orange cross treks waving to you. The EJs and VAs don't seem to wave to much to us. I'd be feeling similar! Thanks for the insight. Yes, I think I'll keep my ice silver.
Solar Pearl Sunburst is a rare color. I own it myself and the color does attract attention , especially from subaru wrx/sti owners.
an curious to see diff mods for these.. will people end up using stand alone ecus? with how cobb is super lame with their greenspeed act.
Am guessing will just take some time.. mostly smaller mods so far people are doing. Haven't seen turbo upgrade, rotated etc. or fuel injectors yet
I've seen full bolt/tune on cars run high 10s. I don't know how long the trans will take that.

There are no fuel injectors, no one has maxed the stock turbo yet but some companies are working on upgrades
You didn't consider getting the car wrapped when you got tired of the color?
The cost of wrapping the car properly would have far exceeded the cost to swap. And it would always be orange in the door jambs etc. I bought the orange car for 29,200 and sold it for that. So i ate 1500 in taxes to drive it 4000 miles. I bought the blue car for 3k under msrp, which was 28,609 plus ttl. A good wrap is 3-5k, and it isnt forever.
Yeah, Solar Orange Pearl is by far the best color. Other than that glaring mistake, good video.

Yeah he said both are base models, you’re right the orange is not bad looking at all but I think when it comes to aesthetic modifications there won’t be much things that would make it stand out compared to the other colors, but maybe I’m wrong lol
Yes it's a base. Remaining 22s are going way cheap all over the usa. I'm in Michigan.
