  • I'm Aja Dang and between my potty-trained dogs peeing on a mattress and my nose is a constant state of bleeding, I think it's safe to say that this week was special. BUT we didn't have any home emergencies so that's an improvement.

Hi Aja! My boyfriend's home had AC problems recently in Houston too. We had a couple different companies come out to give free consultations and cross-referenced the information and quotes they gave us before deciding who to work with. John Moore was one of the companies we had come out to do a free consult (do not recommend for service because their pricing was the most expensive). It did take some time, but it's worthwhile to feel secure in your decision and try to find the most reasonably priced service.

I’ve lived in Houston my whole life. I think your just not used to this type of weather…the humidity can be BRUTAL, even for those of us who have lived here forever…which I believe could be the cause of your nose bleeds and sickness…Also, keep in mind that during the summer, most people’s (including mine) A/C run constantly and will seem to not be cooling but there is nothing wrong with them, it’s just hot as HELL outside!! Try a saline nasal spray for your nosebleeds.
I live in the mid Atlantic near the ocean and our summer has been BRUTAL this year. I've had a few nosebleeds bc our ac has been running non-stop for months. I also deal with them during the winter. A humidifier helps since a central cooling system dries out the air. But something that is portable and much easier is a simple saline nasal spray. It isn't pleasant but it's totally safe and will keep the area moisturized.

Hydrogen Peroxide gets blood out of fabric :) can be done after washing it...but do it before you put clothes in the dryer....the heat/drying will make the blood set ....you also want to keep the fabric out of the sun until you get to wash it - just in case it bleaches the color in the fabric a little.

It kept happening so I went to a ear, nose and throat specialist and they cauterised the blood vessel in my nose that kept bleeding. You know when they burn something to seal it. I live in SoCal, in an area where the average 2x1 is 800k+. A lot of people here are saying they are leaving California due to the cost of living here. I feel like I'm telling everyone to research everything. Texas may seem cheaper until you factor in weathering your house, insurance, high cost of property taxes, etc. Also if you will be getting a salary decrease, you HAVE to factor that in.

Also Texas is not union friendly. Starting pay here for nurses is about $29.60 while nurses in CA, WA, NY, or other heavily unionized states make double or triple that starting out.

I have two small dogs and we go between SF and San Diego often and for some reason in San Diego my little pom will pee where he's not supposed to and once did it on the bed😮...they don't like change! By the way both are 9 years old.

I would've understood Luke's pee situation had it been when we first moved but 3 months after I would've assumed he was settling in. We also let them out all the time so it's not like he can't hold it. Plus Levi is the one known to be vindictive in his actions lol.

The faux brick wall, don’t be surprised if the previous owner covered something behind that brick…
The closet too, try to check behind it to make sure everything back there is fine… idk I don’t trust the previous owner and since you’re doing such a good job at fixing things the proper way, it doesn’t hurt to check…
