Jenet, Kevin Rian, Marco Rodrigues, Gato, Kain R. Heinlein, and Preecha will probably all be there. (now cmon gimme Rick pls)
I will say, seeing Hotaru gives me hope that all the old Garou characters will return (and possibly the unused Garou 2 characters to some degree). I'd love to see Dong Hwan in 3D
It's as good as can be expected. The addition of English voice is a nice move. If SNK wants to compete on a global scale they need language options. I'm not impressed with the visuals. I'm looking forward to the new characters, and the continuation of the MOTW story.
Something tells me I might ruffle some feathers here, but I feel a bit mixed after watching the trailer. At a one hand visualy wise it looks pretty good, characters proportions seems to be much more improved from kof xv, and the comic like art style have grown on me. But on the other hand at least from what SNK had shown I'm pretty disappointed, that yet again they decided to play it safe and turned this game into another typical 2d style fighting game instead of trying to lean more into Real Bout style gameplay, to make it stand out from other games from this genre, which just make it look like a rehash of kof xv with different art style in my opinion.
In the original Garou, Terry was the only returning character, no Andy, Mai or Joe, though the first two had a son in the game. So Joe successor is better than no Joe at all.
Personally I kind of don’t like the idea of so many of the veterans coming back, since so much of Garou was about shifting the spotlight to their successors, and the scrapped Garou 2 was going to continue this trend. If they do come back, I at least hope that they get an extreme visual redesign and some new moves, like they did with Terry in Garou.

Cuz it's garou sequel, and garou did not have the real bout playstyle
