The people who say the arcade is embarrassing are the same people who say the simulator is too hard. They're really just playing a slightly more realistic arcade game.
Unlike your strawman here there are people with actual valid reasons for not liking arcade mode. Like the fact that it's just pure chaos with a lot more luck involved than skill or the sheer number of people on these small maps means it's gonna be a steamroll for one side while the other has to go up against entire Mongolian hordes in their spawn

Here some tips from myself :
- Use Arcade Mode to learn aiming, turnfighting and basic strategy, like picking your targets and prioritizing (you will notice quickly that some planes are more dangerous than others.
- Regarding Aim, in Arcade Mode, the Trail in front of the plane is a good guideline but I'd recommend shooting a little bit in front of the trail (If you aim perfectly at the Trail, you will nail the center of the Plane you are shooting at, yet the Wings are far more vulnerable, break them off and you will blow the enemy out of the sky!)
- Regarding Realistic Mode, it's a lot about Positioning, Experience (Aim and Situations) as well as knowing your Plane and the Enemy. Personally I'd recommend just playing the game, doesn't matter which mode, you'll get the hang of it.
- Just have fun! If you are frustrated, just swap the Nation, perhaps that's more fun. Otherwise pay a visit to the Tank or Naval Forces.

Nah cause AirRB just isn't fun, at least in low tiers. Leave my computer, do laundry, cook food, go to sleep for 8 hours and return to the computer just to see Im almost to the action.
Don't let people bully you into playing modes you don't like.
Arcade is especially useful for doing things like season battle pass challenges and what not.
I'm personally not a fan of ARB. It takes way too long to get into battle, and the risk of getting blasted by a dude you didn't see, only to have to return to hangar is too high. Low tier: Takes 5 minutes just to get to altitude and to map objectives. High tier: Get your anus resized by missiles, missiles, and more missiles.
Also, Air AB has more interesting maps. Air RB is just the same plethora if flat grounds, with no chance of low altitude terrain based dog fights. Air AB straight up has deep canyons and cool places to lose someone in.

There's nothing fun about side climbing for 30 minutes only to get the most boring slow dogfights of your life. Arcade is fun, only real reason to play realistic is for grinding.

Arcade is a Mode to Play for Fun, train ur Crew, Test Skills, Test planes, Godmode farming and Kill some New players in the game / Realistic its for the guys farming if u already had a premium aircraft or talisman one you go Realistic and just farm (cuz it give more Searching Pts) if you dont had premium arcade is better for farming just kill maximum you can and thats it

sure but in arcade the moment you get to midtier planes you are immediately met with the fact that in arcade, the grind in awfully slow, plus you are using multiple planes so the grind takes longer since you aren't focusing on a single plane. However, in realistic, the battles can sometimes take just as long as a arcade battle but you ACTUALLY UNLOCK SOMETHING

Honestly my gamer, play whatever you want. You don't need approval. I play realistic because I like the semi arcade feel of it mixed with the realism of jets. Arcade is fun if I'm having a bad day tho, pure enjoyment.
It all comes down to if you want to have fun (arcade), or if you need to grind RP (realistic)
I like air arcade because you can only have the chance to kill same poor guy 3 times, or be the poor guy in arcade mode. That cause a lot of high blood pressure and EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.

When I first started I went straight to realistic. The fact that I’m automatically spotted across the map all the time in arcade and the fact that all you gotta do is shoot at the green, the gameplay for me personally was too mindless.

The only reason why I don't play realistic games is that my PC barely runs the game and they play in such low graphics that I can't tell a tank from a rock. Plus I want to preserve my mental health.

Realistic only is consistently fun if your skill is at or above average, you have discipline, play your plane to its strengths and you mostly play planes that fit the meta. For new players it is verry hard to get better because there are no respawns and there are not allways clear indicators to what they might have done wrong in order to get ganked by 3
enemies at once. A lot of Theorie is required.
Arcade is way less punishing but as a result also does not push/require a player to get good the same way RB does.
Also for the few who don’t use mouse aim the plane can respond in unexpected ways to control imput.
You’d expect a p40 to yaw whe you use the rudder but no it rolls.
P39s go into flat spins whenever you try to turn, ect
I love arcade. But at higher tiers, I can see why the shift occurs. 11.0 jets in aab is.... a strange experience.

Played arcade until I got my first T4 plane. Switched to RB and never looked back.
Honestly arcade is just funner, multiple respawns is something I enjoy more than having to camp at a higher alt and wait before attacking I just wanna jump in and kill mfs and die as long as I actually get to play

kills 30-80 ground units and 2-5 aircraft per battle by giving at least 20k SL.
I usually earn ~50k per battle and to buy all the high tier planes which I don't like to play, hehe.
Being one-shoted even in my 6 engined BV 238 (has more than one pilot btw) is just no fun.

Air RB is an Arcade mode but with less handholding.
If it was like Ground RB, no gamer tags and very punishing physics, it would have deserved the “Realistic” title.
Aircraft in AirRB and GroundRB have the same flight characteristics.

I play arcade because and i want to have fun ( also a little tiny reason, my aim sucks)
Air RB is just Air AB but more tedious. It has all the same gameplay but it takes longer to get into the fight, you have less respawns, it takes longer to climb to altitude, and its harder to do everything.
Thats litterally the point, its difficulty makes it so much more rewarding to get kills, AB you just click on your enemies and they all die fast, in a pinch it is entertaining but over time it just gets stale. Also RB punishes you for losing so you have more incentive to actually get gud.
It is not tedious. The player just needs more discipline.
AirRB forces you to literally git gud so you don't waste all your SL by immediately dying.
It's also fun figuring out the weaknesses and the strengths of yours and the enemy's aircrafts so you understand that starting a dogfight with a P-51 in a biplane isnt the best idea

I play Ground RB almost exclusively because I like it. I won't shame someone for playing Ground AB. I prefer the lack of assists in Ground RB but not everyone does and that's fine...

I really don't understand you guys shaming this dude for his kinda bad tactics and aim, he's level 9. But also the shaming against people who play arcade. Like, if I wanted realism and a shit ton of depression, I would play RB. But I don't want that.
Been playing WT casually for about 4-5 weeks... nearly researched all tier 2 British aircraft and am not in a rush to leave arcade just yet. I actually got the game with the intention to play tank RB but found myself wanting to replay air arcade battles so often that I have barely used tanks. I'm sure I'll get around to it but I'm having fun doing what I do.
I have been playing for 2 years right now and still dont wanna leave arcade, i just think is neat

As a person who goes between both RB and AB for both ground and air I can confirm that I play RB for Lions and RP but AB to chill and have an awesome time

I view arcade as being far more fun then Realistic honestly, when I play WT I wanna have fun, not be snipped by P2W players with HEAT across the map in my spawn or get spawn camped by dozens of aircraft at once or spend 5 minutes climbing in an aircraft just to get one shot'd by a stray bullet, the rewards RB has may be better yes, but I wanna protect my mental sanity lmao
(also before someone comes to me and tells me "skill issue" or that I need to get better, I've been playing WT since 2019-2020, I've reached 6.7 aka my current BR on my second acc-long story without paying a cent and I've grinded for it with my own skill, and one of the first times I've played RB in a BT-7, I killed three tanks, captured two zones, shot down two aircraft and got 5 assists in one go with half a crew/damaged engine and it wasn't even spaded, so don't @ me for preferring Arcade lmao)

I play RB cuz 1. I get more rewards at the end of the battle and 2. I don’t get sniped when I’m trying to flank cuz I appear on the map to enemy team. Honestly, it depends on ur play style. People who say skill issue are insecure. If you want to get better, practice and practice. At the start of my RB only playstyle, I got 1 or 2 kills per game. Then I started getting better. So if u want to play arcade, have fun. If you want to play RB, practice and practice

just a suggestion, 7.7mm gun on the spitfire or other british plane better use tracers, i can't kill a thing with universal belt but tracers hit so hard

Only problem I have the arcade is how fast paced and chaotic it is and don’t get me wrong that’s not always a bad thing but after like 4-5 games it gets tiring and when you’re burned out in RB and don’t want to play the click fest that is ground battles, you really want something in between AB and RB. I really wish they’d make it more like RB in how large the maps are and you take off from a base or get air spawn depending on the maps and planes. It’s five bomber and attackers more room to breathe and would make it less of a mess.
Arcade is where everyone starts, realistic is where you get good, sim is if you have determination. I've played all three in ground and air at some point or another and they all have their ups and downs.

Low tier is the fun tier.
There is no fun in top tier, only pain.
Arcade actually takes some strategy and skill too because enemies spawn in waves and they can Boom and Zoom you if you're not at a high altitude and you kind of have to organize your attacks and wait for key moments to strike. It's not like realistic where you can climb all the way to the top and work your way down onto all of the enemies at the highest alt. There is also a lot of high-skill high-altitude dogfighting in arcade. You'll be surprised by just how many experienced players still actually play arcade and just do this for fun.
Well, not gonna start a heated arguments here, if you like arcade - good, if you like realistic - also good, these are mostly preferences. But i think arcade never gonna have the same skill ceiling as realistic due to the simple fact that game itself calculate a lot more for you, and plane performance and specifics are a lot less important in arcade. But, as i said, it's up to preferences, shaming someone for playing and enjoying specific game mode is just stupid.
@@gitgood8509 Oh no doubt about it, Realistic mode requires a lot more concentration in terms of position and tactics, but some if not most principles (in combat at least) in realistic do apply to Arcade in some way (except for some things about aircraft performance) and it's a good way to practice tactics before using them in realistic.
@@gitgood8509 I use energy fighting methods a lot in Arcade to practice how I perform in Realistic and it does translate over pretty well. However I do feel like that plane performance and specifics are still pretty important in Arcade. It is important to note that while Arcade does not require positioning, positioning nonetheless gives you a pretty good advantage although Arcade focuses more on Combat than positioning. Nonetheless, Energy preservation and dogfighting tactics still matters which means there's still a pretty high skill ceiling.

What killed arcade for me personally is the amount of players that fly with their brain shut off. There is still a number of good players in arcade, but you can't deny that arcade is plagued by "i see plane i chase it" type of players. And there is still a lot of said individuals in realistic as well...

I play arcade because I like it more, it has totally nothing to do with me not being able to see enemy planes in the distance without the HUD.
Realistic has HUDs too, though you might want to increase crew vision for it. Ground RB cas though...

quick tip, when there on fire dont shoot them anymore. They'll end up dying and with your aim you'll be wasting lots of ammo. But with more battles you'll improve. Keep grinding. Nice video

When playing realistic battles regardless if it's planes or tanks you have to know your enemy.
EX: if your in a spitfire mkIIb and you opponent is in a A6M2 zero the zero can out turn you 100% of the time but since your in a spitfire you are faster then he is so ise it to your advantage if the zero turns away just level out and gain speed
