I have a quesrion about rug making. For more complex images, how do you simplify the image so you are using a bunch of different yarn colors
I’d recommend using Adobe Illustrator, dropping a photo into it, and then clicking the drop down menu on the “image trace” button on the top section of Illustrator. Then clicking the amount of colors you want to be added.
If you can’t use Adobe Illustrator I think there’s many free websites to “vectorize” colored images. Vectoring images makes then into a certain amount of shapes and simplifies it into like a cartoon form. Hopefully this helps !! There might also be vector image apps in phone App Stores but I’m not completely sure
