My respect for Lamborghini just skyrocketed. Giving up their first right of refusal to help Mark to obtain a competitors offering just because they know Mark wanted it... That's just pure class. And Congratulations on the GT3 RS Mark! She's a beauty.

Mark had build up a huge relationship with lambo and will continue to buy from them, this decision by them is. a win win, i helps out a loyal longer term customer like mark, exposes them as dealers in a good light, and placed a special urus of theirs in a dealership where the car will no doubt stay in the uk and gain them loads of eyes on a one off masterpiece of a vehicle! Also makes them look like the good guys over another brand in a big way!
we'll done to mark for not taking someone's allocation after all his attempts, exposing the hurdles customer jump through and then taking the allocation would have been so wrong!

Listen to the phone conversation, the lady knew what was going on and just gave the nod to Mark because it was being recorded.
Even if they knew, doesn't matter, they made points and put themselves in a good position by agreeing for the Ursus to be sold elsewhere.

No, it was just Porsche putting too low a list price. If they sold it for £300k+ there would be no overs, no point in people immediately reselling, no need to 'trust' the buyer not to. Making you buy other cars _above_ market value so you can buy one _below_ market value is just convoluted

The Porsche dealership didn't want to sell the 911 for less than it's worth, and aren't allowed to just put the price up, so they bundled it with Taycans priced at more than they were worth. The Lambo dealership weighed up his past and future purchases (and knew they were on video) so it was more profitable for them to let the Urus slide. The final deal he made was literally just a cash exchange, no convoluted relationships involved and it was the most 'honest' of them all. You navigate the business world by making deals that both parties find valuable, they won't care how you treat them if someone provides more money or lower cost.
It's funny how a story on trying to buy a Porshe becomes the best ad for Lambo. GG on the 3rs

So basically you still need to be a famous CZcamsr/racing driver with thousands of followers and still have to buy a couple of other cars you don’t really want to get a new RS.

So to sum it up: To get a GT3RS you need the following 3/3:
1. Money
2. Great relationship with Lamborghini due to reason #1
3. A CZcams following.

It just showed us that you can walk into a used-car lot, and buy a GT3RS from them, instead of Porsche themselves....

Is it just me or did this video only confirm that the corrupt system is unbreakable? As a newbie to this channel, Mark presented himself as more of a normal guy with money than a serial supercar customer who has done the exact thing the Porsche dealers want you to do with another car company. He’s spent the millions, making the lambo dealers the money, and it’s still that historical spend that enabled him to get the GT3RS - and he got it at overs, not list. So it’s still the case that no normal person is going to get a dream car like this at list price.

@@OneIssueVoterI’m a firm believer in “supply and demand”, but this is such a convoluted way to go about it. A more efficient way is for the manufacturer to auction every car off of the end of the assembly line, and for dealerships to not exist.
It’s the perfect model of a “middleman” who makes money while creating zero value. They have to repay their expensive building.

You definitely got a thing going for you with Lambo. They are apparently very happy with the publicity and advertisement. As she said, she has seen the videos. You basically put them in a bit of a tight spot. They know if they say no, they look bad on your channel. Just saying that it is important for people to understand that the deal you got there, is not what people without a media outlet should consider normal. I'm chucking this down to a similar bit of marketing and dealing as Mat Watson getting a GT3RS. You are in bed with Lambo, he is clearly in bed with Porsche.
Mark has shown some incredible values and morals in this series. Sometimes keeping business relationships and others happy is worth more than your own personal gain. Big respect.

In reality, this video shows to build relations with your money, prioritize your relationships, build friendships on that relationship and then if all else fails - upload the video to social media and get millions of people to see it, so that these relationships and companies need to save face with PR, in the hopes that they are seen in a great light and build more customers. so the take away here is that you just need to have enough lambo's to have one you dont want enough that you can trade for a 30k difference.
This is just mental gymnastics and you should have spec'd your own.
Here's a wild idea.. make more of the cars that people want, and make less of the ones they don't want.
Increase the price if needs be. At least everyone would be on a fair playing field.
If you think that's how it works, you are clueless. If you saturate the market, the cars in question become common, and less people will want them. That's how you water down a brand. Offer every and any clown a car. Just ask McLaren how well that plan works. They will probably never recover fully.

Incredibly interesting and informative series. As an independent motor vehicle engineer/assessor it is always very important to keep half an eye on vehicle values but more importantly, availability as this would would become extremely relevant in cases of total losses, particularly when they are high end with however many people fighting over the availability of only a few cars. As soon as she said "I have seen the videos" you know she is well aware that she will be the bad guy if she refuses. This is publicity and media clout. You are kidding yourself if you think her response is common practise.
I think Lewis is a very smart business man. 30k for advertising to millions of viewers, showing off his amazing customer experience and now shows he has a top spec lambo in stock is a very good move. I imagine he maybe doing a lot more business with people not looking to the bullshit dealer thing. 👍🏻👍🏻

Precisely. And while Mark may be an enthusiast, he still went over the heads of other Porsche owners, possibly guys like the one who told his story in the former video.
Add to that the "force" he has applied with these videos. When she said "I have seen your videos" you know that while she personally may like for him to get a car he wants, she also knows EXACTLY how it will reflect back on her and Lambo if she refuses.
The more I think about this, the more rotten and distasteful I think it is. I was never a fan of Mark's in the first place, but a video like this, quickly turns that into actual dislike.

Mark, you’ve reminded me of a car I tried to buy 25 years ago!! Put an order in for a new Audi TT from my local main dealer for 6 months delivery. ( I had bought my last car from them). Cut a long story short I never got the car. Every time I rang them the delivery date was changed. Obviously their allocation was sold to someone at a premium. But via a contact I got one after 18 months in two weeks via a car leasing company who had a car coming in for stock. If you could find old copies of the Sunday Times motoring section from the 1980’s you could find brand new Porsches, Ferrari etc that sellers were asking a big premium for their option to spec now for delivery in 3-6 months. Then the dealers weren’t making the money but now they’re cashing in. Great videos . Thanks

Yup. 2 months later it's still for sale on their website, for 20k less than the initial listing price. It was probably all a marketing thing anyway. They already had the car, but they were able to milk 3 videos out of it. And then pretend it was a struggle. Boohoo, rich people problems 😅

Amazing how the woman at Lamborghini watched your video and passed up the chance to buy the Urus back so you could go buy a Porsche. Says a lot about her character and your relationship with them. Or the lady at Lamborghini had realised the consequences of saying no to customer like Mark, didn't want any kind of bad publicity as she had already watched his videos and she knew the call was recorded, that she was on camera. Im new to the channel, but have followed this series. I think not giving in to the system and buying those cars you didnt want shows what sort of a bloke you are so fair play. You stuck at it and made it work for you and the good guys.
Something about this doesn't add up. The guy took your Urus for £300k, which is now for sale on their website for £300k, and yet dropped the price of the GT3RS by £40k, so overall he's lost £40k plus his marketing costs etc for the Urus. No car dealership gives you a part-ex value for a car and then sells it for exactly the same amount.
He "discounted" an overpriced car that wasn't selling. He is now selling a used Urus for $30K more than what it cost when it was new. He made an advertisement of him self as a "good guy", "fair business" that millions of people watched.

I've loved this little series Mark, really informative. I realise that it wouldn't be good for You Tube content but wasn't this trade-in option always on the table? I'm so glad you went down this route as it's one in the eye for the big manufacturers/dealerships.

Really interesting insight into what most car people were aware of. Proves what we believed went on actually does. Also really interesting point on the "overs by Carl, comparing total spend over the years against the mark up. Ultimately its supply and demand and will always go on as long as people are happy to buy / sell (look at Urus as an example of the same practice). Subscribed 👍

Am amazing series and great storytelling. So, to buy a GT3RS, the cheapest way is to be a VIP customer and make a video series and then buy the GT3RS off a dealer and sell a limited quantity URUS to them! Going to start a go fund me for my first lambo purchase - probably a keychain 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'll be honest Mark, I didn't even know who you were until I saw you on car wow a few years ago and never thought to search for you on CZcams. I got to say mark. I as so happy that you have managed to get the car of your dreams. To have these opportunities arise to yourself are just amazing. I cant believe how corrupt the super car companies are! I personally drive a Skoda vRS and I love it to bits! be better of I could have bought it brand new to spec it myself however some of us don't possess such cash. Congratulations on securing the GT3 RS because she is just an amazing piece of engineering. This series just earned a new sub.

I have appreciated you sharing your experience and I am well and truly impressed with the Lamborghini dealer. I have had Porsche dealers trying to shackle me into not flipping a car that I have bought with my hard earned, I was so incensed that I walked away from the deal. I am looking forward to Porsche selling direct to consumer which I hope will stop all this nonsense. I wanted to buy a GT4 at list, was told I did not have sufficient buying history with the OPC, however, in the very same breath the same OPC offered me a GT4 for £116k ... I have recently taken delivery of GT4 from an independent dealer for £88K with a superior spec to the overpriced offering from the OPC, going forward it will be independents all the way when I next add a 911 to my collection. Enjoy that GT3 RS!!!

Great vids Mark good to see some dealers take customer care seriously. The first deal with the Taycan & 911 Turbo cab that you didn’t do did not take into consideration the substantial loss on the Turbo cab as you said your wife could have it. Still have to sell it at some point!
