I think From Soft should fine tune thus buff stacking feature. Some items like those consumables should be meant for pure melee builds who don't invest points into faith or arc or int.

the greases also scale with scadutree level, they don't just give a flat 120 at every point. this is extremely easy to test and is weird to bring up as a disqualifying factor.
From what I know (not 100% sure) the blue dancer charm is also amazing with the rock heart because it buffs physical damage with your low equip load. It buffs the physical cmdragon communion spells and I think it includes rot breath

On the note of enemies dealing way more damage than you do with a similar skill. Can we make it so enemies deal the same damage to each other as they do to you? That ghostflame dragon fight near the fort (the one on the way to the church) is so annoying. Not because the fight is hard but because you either have to just sit your ass down and wait for your turn or join in and run the risk of getting slapped around by the black knights.
That poor ghostflame dragon glitched out on me so he despawned then respawned staring at me which led to him getting clapped by the black knights as he did nothing. Then the black knights decided that although I was a half mile away, that was in range of the archers.
I gave up on that dragon and came back to it after beating the final boss and shot it with jar cannon once. It came flying towards me and the knights and archers didn't follow at all. I killed him there
Just a note for the scorpion stew and dragon's blessing, you can keep getting them as long as you have none in your inventory until the end of their questlines just like Fia's blessing. I always ate stew and called placi before every major boss and just went back for seconds after.
can you get it, drop it from ur inventory, ask for another one, pick it back up from the floor? this way you can exploit it to get couple hundred in one sitting pretty fast
Boiled crab is the only exception for me. The buff is huge (30% dam reduc) and it only takes a second to use. Stock up on 999 at once and you're good to chow down on some shellfish every boss.
it's pretty funny that we got a bunch of bell bearings for junk in the base game that was a bitch to farm for. . . only for the DLC to add more things to make crafting annoying lol I really would prefer crafting to just. . . not be a thing in their next game, unless they make the act of farming them not a total bore.
It felt good to actually craft and use consumable buffs after not bothering for so long, but that's cuz I used blood grease which can literally be farmed for in decent amounts in limgrave. Anything more complicated and it gets awful. Good luck if you feel you need rot or sleep for a boss lol, aeonian butterflies are priceless on my bow build
For me it's just too many different ingredients, so when you run around in the game they're all meaningless to you because you don't remember what they're for besides a couple of them
It's crazy to me that they didn't add a pure fire weapon buff incantation in the DLC. Like not everyone benefits of the bleed from Bloodflame Blade and the incant scaling is also way lower compared to other armaments. A .75 incant scaling fire buff that lasted 90 seconds was one of the three things I wanted in the DLC

Blackflame Blade only last 7+2(with talisman) seconds making it completely useless if you're 2-handing or using a weapon slower than a Straight Sword, and Bloodflame Blade lasts 60+18 seconds with a .45 incant scaling instead of .75 like Electrify Armament and Order's Blade. Thing is though, Bloodflame Blade is really only usefull with a weapon with innate bleed because of the lack of damage you get AND the lack of bleed procs you get with a weapon without innate bleed if you're weapon doesn't attack fast enough(you'd be lucky to even get 1 bleed proc with a Greatsword), so fire grease is the only fire weapon buff if you don't use an Ash of War and even that is bad because you can't increase the duration with the talisman. So it's better to just use Bloodflame Blade anyways or Electrify Armament that lasts 90+27 seconds, but that's a lightning buff. And I know you're probably going to say "just use an Ash of War that buffs your weapon with fire" but then you're forced to only use a fire buff since you can't use another weapon buff without the Ash of War overwriting other weapon buffs you're using, destroying the whole point of having multiple weapon buffs depending on the situation.

The third thing I wanted was Square Off being made available to Greatswords, since some Greatswords in DS3 had it so why can't they make it work in Elden Ring? They could also do a similar thing as they did with Lion's Claw and make a DLC version with a different name like "Heavy Square Off" or something and make it only available for Greatswords and I'd be satisfied.
I feel like the single use consumables you need to talk to someone to replace are more intended for the mimic tear, extra defense and poise (the one you get from fia gives poise) that they can apply whenever (and a full heal) are all going to be big buffs for the mimic to have access to
the problem is this degenerate uses them whenever. My idiot literally ate 3 dumplings before fighting a boss, I don't think he'll do any better with others. Maybe stew would count though

Hey man you really need to try the new drawstring greases. They last 25 sec now instead of 10 pre SotE, add 270 AR at scad 18, are ultra quick of use and can be farmed easily with the root resin and string bell bearing. Definitely S tier in the tier list.
i think the demi human swordsman in the canyon in cerulean coast drops starlight shards i got 2 off him, he respawns. lulling branch is so much better, i hope they don't nerf it, i've heard in pvp 5fp a second can break the balance the animals gathered b4 you drop to st trina drop the purple flowers you need for lulling branch, boost discovery n go nuts lol
It's so convenient that the group of enemies that is ideal for farming winter lantern flies also have a good chance of dropping silver horns, you almost always get 2 more after using 1 in those three minutes.
For the horn tenders: if you use them and teleport to a site of Grace beforehand the timer runs out they will be reset in your inventory so it doesn’t use them up. So you can reuse one over and over again
One thing I’ll say about livers vs the spells for damage negation is the spells won’t stack with other spells like golden vow or erdtrees protection while all the livers would . You get 5 slots for buffs meaning ur physic , spell , consumable , healing and weapon buffs
Hot Take: Lamenter's big mask attack should deal as much physical and poise damage as some of the semi-decent AoW. Or it should at least have some scaling with your stat. And should be chargeable because why the hell not. I also want it to be buffed by Roar medalion, but now I might be pushing it a bit too far. lamenter does prerry well in blue dancer talisman build since it boosts arcane which this build is using for physical damage incantations. For blue dancer, lamenter’s mask is free +8 arcane with no downsides.

The livers are nice if you're doing random coop. Never really know what you'll be going up against so a quick consumable for a particularly annoying boss who maybe does alot of fire damage could be fun.
On the gold tender. Theres actually a farming spot right before midra and they drop a good amount of runes too and its 3 easy to kill guys So runefarm and boost at the same time ;)
Especially with the rock heart blue dancer synergizes well with the transformations the rock heart in particular due to the appropriate seal weighing nothing.
Having torrent kick when using certain mounted movesets would be pretty cool. You could tie his damage to your highest-level weapon, in the same way PvP matchmaking does.
rock heart is really fun cause it is probably the best looking dragon form in the series and an ancient dragon man build can be made with this consumable. i even used it to beat bayle the dread with the dragon hunters great katana and the dragon incants
Lulling branch can be farm, but it takes so much effort to do so 😅 1. Nectarblood Burgeon : you can farm this very easy by using silver horn tender and dragon breath, just spew your breath towards animals that were slept in fissure depth. Make sure you stand close to the grace so you can reseted it very fast. 2. Beast horn : you can farm these at Viaduct Minor Tower near the entrance on left and right. Just kill any animals that had fur in it, and you get yourself a beast horn in about 4-5 per spawn. ( Theres about 10 of these animals you can farm which was a deer and a boar ). 3. Lastly the dewgem, you farm those near Ellac River Cave which scattered across the ponds
I’ve been watching your videos since the dlc came out for clarification on some items/ spells/ armor etc. You’re on top of it and very thorough. But dude you are so negative man lol. It’s either in the top 3 or top 5 MAX or it’s straight garbage.
Sacred Bloody Flesh works differently than described. The buff has two parts: +8% AR +10 arcane for 30s as a body buff, and the lord of blood effect which also lasts 30s and provides an independent third buff: 20s +18% AR. So if you inflict blood loss at the beginning, middle, and end of the original 30s SBF buff, you have can have up to 50s of the +18% AR buff, but you won't extend the underlying SBF buff as Youwy described. There also must be a bug, since it seems if you overwrite the body buff, the lord of blood effect persists indefinitely. If you eat a sacred bloody flesh and then overwrite it (I used howl of shabriri) during its duration, you can inflict blood loss several minutes later and still recieve the 18% AR unique buff (so long as you haven't fast travelled or (re)loaded).
I'd love to see a video where you are doing the research so we can see how you evaluate things to teach us how we can learn to optimize our own builds.
This is great, I've essentially avoided all of the new buffs/transformations because I didn't really know what they did, but this is a really solid breakdown. The Sacred Bloody Flesh one sounds great. I've always hated that theres really only one helmet you can wear if you want a really good bleed build. I mean, it makes sense, but knowing theres a consumable that does essentially the same thing is great news for fashion-conscious players. I also stacked up a TON of them when i was farming for the bloodfiend arm. I did a whole ass respec to get a few things at the end of the DLC, but for some reason that never dropped. I eventually got it in NG+ without even trying, and I only had 13 arcane. I got a whole lot of the sacred bloody flesh though, so I'm gonna start to put those to good use. Great vid man!
FYI Festive Grease increases Physical AR by 100, not Holy AR like this video states. It's actually amazing for pure Strength or Dexterity Builds as its the only grease to buff physical damage.
Concerning the liver items vs using the incantations. I actually prefer using the livers in most cases simply because I can put them on a quick-item slot and chow on them whenever one runs out. When I put the protection incantations on my spell list it means I have more spells I have to cycle through and until FS wakes up and puts them in a more convenient radial menu I won't burden myself there any more than I have to in this regard. The only exceptions are occasions where I need the strongest protection incantations (Flame Protect Me, Lord's Divine Fortification and Barrier of Gold) but in those cases I usually have only them in my list anyway.
from what i can tell, the Dragon Hearts are opposites, Rock is for physical attack negations and Priestess is for elemental attack negations. They both provide negations for everything, but youre just picking which type you'd rather have more of
I diasagree about the grease's. It adds BASE ar, which means that the damage done will be multiplied by what ever buffs you have active at the time, and multiplied by the scadu blessings. Take the PATA that I weild. it has an AR of roughly 400. adding 120 base damage gives it a roughly 30% damage increase, with the drawstring giving roughly 40%. then i add on my aura, body, physik, and unique buffs and check the status screen, all of a sudden I go to doing about 1300 AR. then I dual weild them (the pata only needs 1 grease since its a fist/claw) to do an insane 3000 with a single jump heavy thanks to the claw talisman and raptors feathers. I know that past a certian incant scaling level, incantation buffs like electrify and black flame are better, but they lack the speed which is sometimes essential in certian boss fights/senarios. String can now be purchased, along with knot resign, so its easier than ever to make these items!

So disappointed of the transformation. We have both Magma wyrms and Dragonkin soldier in the base game, yet all we get is a worthless anorexic deer(a la DS3). Dragon communion people really got nothing i this DLC

I feel like Spirit Raisins not speeding up Torrent is a good thing, because in the base game there were a lot of ledges or places you weren't supposed to reach that were barely out of torren'ts range on purpose, if they made torrent faster thus giving him more momentum fromsoft would have to meticulously go through the base game and fix everything just for one feature.
To farm for Sacred Bloody flesh quickly go into Rivermouth cave while the boss is still alive. Talisman stack and use sword of light to buff and maybe golden vow depending on your level and NG cycle and you can clear the room of like 15 blood fiends easily with Sacred Relic Sword and just die to the boss to respawn in the same room next to the stake of Marika.

DLC has bells for crafting materials as well. Like the bell to buy string and another to buy root resin.

I feel like the single use consumables you need to talk to someone to replace are more intended for the mimic tear, extra defense and poise (the one you get from fia gives poise) that they can apply whenever (and a full heal) are all going to be big buffs for the mimic to have access to
the problem is this degenerate uses them whenever. My idiot literally ate 3 dumplings before fighting a boss, I don't think he'll do any better with others. Maybe stew would count though

Hey man you really need to try the new drawstring greases.
They last 25 sec now instead of 10 pre SotE, add 270 AR at scad 18, are ultra quick of use and can be farmed easily with the root resin and string bell bearing.
Definitely S tier in the tier list.
A lot of these should’ve been tools. It wouldn’t make them better, but it would make them something you can actually use
i think the demi human swordsman in the canyon in cerulean coast drops starlight shards i got 2 off him, he respawns. lulling branch is so much better, i hope they don't nerf it, i've heard in pvp 5fp a second can break the balance

It's so convenient that the group of enemies that is ideal for farming winter lantern flies also have a good chance of dropping silver horns, you almost always get 2 more after using 1 in those three minutes.
For the horn tenders: if you use them and teleport to a site of Grace beforehand the timer runs out they will be reset in your inventory so it doesn’t use them up. So you can reuse one over and over again

One thing I’ll say about livers vs the spells for damage negation is the spells won’t stack with other spells like golden vow or erdtrees protection while all the livers would . You get 5 slots for buffs meaning ur physic , spell , consumable , healing and weapon buffs

Hot Take: Lamenter's big mask attack should deal as much physical and poise damage as some of the semi-decent AoW. Or it should at least have some scaling with your stat. lamenter does prerry well in blue dancer talisman build since it boosts arcane which this build is using for physical damage incantations. For blue dancer, lamenter’s mask is free +8 arcane with no downsides.

The livers are nice if you're doing random coop. Never really know what you'll be going up against so a quick consumable for a particularly annoying boss who maybe does alot of fire damage could be fun.

Especially with the rock heart blue dancer synergizes well with the transformations the rock heart in particular due to the appropriate seal weighing nothing.

You could tie his damage to your highest-level weapon, in the same way PvP matchmaking does.
rock heart is really fun cause it is probably the best looking dragon form in the series and an ancient dragon man build can be made with this consumable. i even used it to beat bayle the dread with the dragon hunters great katana and the dragon incants

Lulling branch can be farm, but it takes so much effort to do so 😅
1. Nectarblood Burgeon : you can farm this very easy by using silver horn tender and dragon breath, just spew your breath towards animals that were slept in fissure depth. Make sure you stand close to the grace so you can reseted it very fast.
2. Beast horn : you can farm these at Viaduct Minor Tower near the entrance on left and right. Just kill any animals that had fur in it, and you get yourself a beast horn in about 4-5 per spawn. ( Theres about 10 of these animals you can farm which was a deer and a boar ).
3. Lastly the dewgem, you farm those near Ellac River Cave which scattered across the ponds
Rank the most annoying new mobs introduced in the dlc. My vote for number 1 goes to those damn worm leeches in the finger ruins

I’ve been watching your videos since the dlc came out for clarification on some items/ spells/ armor etc.
You’re on top of it and very thorough.
But dude you are so negative man lol. It’s either in the top 3 or top 5 MAX or it’s straight garbage.
Sacred Bloody Flesh works differently than described. The buff has two parts: +8% AR +10 arcane for 30s as a body buff, and the lord of blood effect which also lasts 30s and provides an independent third buff: 20s +18% AR. So if you inflict blood loss at the beginning, middle, and end of the original 30s SBF buff, you have can have up to 50s of the +18% AR buff, but you won't extend the underlying SBF buff as Youwy described.
There also must be a bug, since it seems if you overwrite the body buff, the lord of blood effect persists indefinitely. If you eat a sacred bloody flesh and then overwrite it (I used howl of shabriri) during its duration, you can inflict blood loss several minutes later and still recieve the 18% AR unique buff (so long as you haven't fast travelled or (re)loaded).
I'd love to see a video where you are doing the research so we can see how you evaluate things to teach us how we can learn to optimize our own builds.
This is great, I've essentially avoided all of the new buffs/transformations because I didn't really know what they did, but this is a really solid breakdown. The Sacred Bloody Flesh one sounds great. I've always hated that theres really only one helmet you can wear if you want a really good bleed build. I mean, it makes sense, but knowing theres a consumable that does essentially the same thing is great news for fashion-conscious players. I also stacked up a TON of them when i was farming for the bloodfiend arm. I did a whole ass respec to get a few things at the end of the DLC, but for some reason that never dropped. I eventually got it in NG+ without even trying, and I only had 13 arcane. I got a whole lot of the sacred bloody flesh though, so I'm gonna start to put those to good use. Great vid man!

FYI Festive Grease increases Physical AR by 100, not Holy AR like this video states. It's actually amazing for pure Strength or Dexterity Builds as its the only grease to buff physical damage.

Concerning the liver items vs using the incantations. I actually prefer using the livers in most cases simply because I can put them on a quick-item slot and chow on them whenever one runs out. When I put the protection incantations on my spell list it means I have more spells I have to cycle through and until FS wakes up and puts them in a more convenient radial menu I won't burden myself there any more than I have to in this regard. The only exceptions are occasions where I need the strongest protection incantations (Flame Protect Me, Lord's Divine Fortification and Barrier of Gold) but in those cases I usually have only them in my list anyway.
from what i can tell, the Dragon Hearts are opposites, Rock is for physical attack negations and Priestess is for elemental attack negations. They both provide negations for everything, but youre just picking which type you'd rather have more of

I diasagree about the grease's. It adds BASE ar, which means that the damage done will be multiplied by what ever buffs you have active at the time, and multiplied by the scadu blessings. Take the PATA that I weild. it has an AR of roughly 400. adding 120 base damage gives it a roughly 30% damage increase, with the drawstring giving roughly 40%. then i add on my aura, body, physik, and unique buffs and check the status screen, all of a sudden I go to doing about 1300 AR. then I dual weild them (the pata only needs 1 grease since its a fist/claw) to do an insane 3000 with a single jump heavy thanks to the claw talisman and raptors feathers.
I know that past a certian incant scaling level, incantation buffs like electrify and black flame are better, but they lack the speed which is sometimes essential in certian boss fights/senarios. String can now be purchased, along with knot resign, so its easier than ever to make these items!

I feel like Spirit Raisins not speeding up Torrent is a good thing, because in the base game there were a lot of ledges or places you weren't supposed to reach that were barely out of torren'ts range on purpose, if they made torrent faster thus giving him more momentum fromsoft would have to meticulously go through the base game and fix everything just for one feature.

To farm for Sacred Bloody flesh quickly go into Rivermouth cave while the boss is still alive. Talisman stack and use sword of light to buff and maybe golden vow depending on your level and NG cycle and you can clear the room of like 15 blood fiends easily with Sacred Relic Sword and just die to the boss to respawn in the same room next to the stake of Marika.
