- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has now addressed the country following Thursday's revelation his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau tested positive for COVID-19. Dawna Friesen has more on Trudeau's message to Canadians. Plus, David Akin reports on Trudeau's promise to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the Bank of Canada is reacting to the crisis.
In an effort to control the spread of COVID-19 in Canada, the federal government is asking Canadians to eliminate all non-essential travel outside the country. Jeff Semple looks at some of the measures in place during the pandemic.
U.S. President Donald Trump has now declared a national emergency over COVID-19, which will free up $50 billion in aid, and waived restrictions for hospitals in their response. As Abigail Bimman reports, life in the country has largely ground to a halt.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Europe the new epicentre of the COVID-19 pandemic, as that continent reports more cases and deaths than the rest of the world combined, excluding China. Europe is also reporting more new cases every day than China did at the height of its epidemic. Crystal Goomansingh reports on the latest measures to keep people healthy.
As some countries and some Canadian provinces close schools due to COVID-19, questions are being raised about whether the rest of Canada should follow suit. As Ross Lord reports, the right approach is a lesson in itself.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, concern is growing for Canadians living in remote regions of this country with limited access to medical services. Heather Yourex-West looks at what's being done to prepare Indigenous communities.

Hello, I think right now the most important thing to do is: Every country's airports and borders should be closed, not only the infected countries but to all countries in the world. No people can travel in and travel out for at least 6 months and getting the internal infected patients to get treatment first. Another word to fix the pandemic internal first. If you worry about the economy, then do so. Because when the pandemic get larger at that point of time even spend more for damgages to economy, for example in Italy 🇮🇹 right now has been kos. Robby H I would say the logical reason for ‘diapers’ would be because the protective suits took FOREVER to get in and out of. I saw an interview with a nurse from Wuhan, and she said that once you were in your protective gear, you were not going to the bathroom because it is far too much work getting out of the suit and then back in. I just travelled a month ago from Canada to the Bahamas and there was no screening procedure at Pearson airport. It was just being asked if we went to China, but anyone could just answer no and lie and still get through.
J - when you enter the United States through customs, they look at your passport. They can tell whether or not you've been to China. They just asked to see if you lie.

Many prayers and blessings to the premiere and family as well around the world , for those who have lost a loved one. To prevent panic in the future people need to prepare. There are many CZcams videos on food sustainability and preparations . The key is not to panic but be prepared. Remember people who panic get slapped. When you instantly hoard you take from others . To prepare takes at least 3 months to a year. Make this your bucket list. God be with you.

Generally you'd need two symptom to be recommend a testing. If you only have one then they wouldn't bother testing b/c its still unlikely at that point. Also breathing abnormally is more towards shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and more towards what the individual would feel.

why is she isolated at home? She should be in hospital.
If she only shows mild symptoms, her immune system might be able to recovery it herself. The isolation is to prevent it from transmission to others 'cause this human-created Wuhan virus can stay on any surface and in the air longer than the others, from hours to days, chance of getting it is higher than the others. Should keep hospital capacity and doctors, nurses to those who are seriosly ill in need of ICU(intensive care unit), 'cause they will need respiratory support, and not a lot of such equipments and medical care personals at all hospitals.

HardRockMiner Because to get the results they have to have the capacity to do PCR -- polymerase chain reaction -- wait for the virus to replicate enough to detect it. Not all the labs can do this
At the remote region, if they don't have any case now, order a restriction immediately ~ ban the outsiders to enter their community, block the access, leave the stuff the community needs at the entrance, problem solved. This way will prevent virus into their community thru transmission.
