L'Oreal HiColour HiLights in Magenta
Cream peroxide volume 40
Manic Panic in Vampire Red
Manic Panic in Hot Hot Pink.

I've been dyeing my hair red for about 2 years. I do 20 vol. developer and 2 tubes od majirel magenta red (1,5:1 ratio) and I always color my midpart and ends first. Let that sit 25 mins, then do my roots and leave it on for 20 mins. That way I don't get hot roots. And when the color fades, it has a pretty pink undertone. I hope this helps someone when it comes to hot roots.
@Fabrizia R Been coloring my hair with majirel for 2 years and my hair is pretty healthy and long. I took big breaks between refreshing the color because it looked ok even when it faded a lot. I’m not red anymore because I wanted to go back to my natural brown.

Have you used just the red and not majenta* as I do want to go red but your results look perfect lol so it confused me. X

I dyed my hair with splat luscious raspberries and it did have bleach in the kit and I didn’t do it right so some Of my roots were still dark/black and so what I did was get L’Oréal high color in red and Magenta used 30 vol developer and used that on the dark spots and it came out sooo goood and was very bright pretty much blended into the other color too and now after using that dye I’m never going back lmao it’s permanent but so good for dark hair and I don’t even have to bleach my hair to get it super bright red and I love having red hair

I get a similar color but use the intense red loreal with vampire red ova . It looks beautiful
What did you use on the end of your hair before the roots and how long did you let that sit before the roots?

I want manic panic but my Sally's was out of pretty much every red I wanted lol 😅 so got good dye young rock lobster and this red Scarlett red lol all be red hopefully in July some time Im blue got to fade as much as I can I may buy hair color remover to Tomorrow and see what other red they have lol in my superstore lol

I do my roots every 7/8 weeks xx
My hair got really staticy after I bleached it cause it was super dry and a bit damaged. It went away after I did a protein treatment. I used ion reconstructer in the red packets

@@MadisonLeigh I watched someone on CZcams dye their hair with the directions pillarbox red hair dye and it turned out pretty good and it’s cheap. It’s a good brand tbf I’ve used them a few times x

Hey huni. Can you tell me do you know if you can mix crazy colour semi permanent with peroxide just to top up and lift the roots? Will they still take using these together and cover?

Do you use 2 boxes of hicolor magenta for your roots & add developer 40 ? Is 30 developer good as well and how much of it ?
Hi, so for this video used 3 boxes but if I only have roots I would use 1 box. I used 40 developer but I think you’re supposed to use 30 so you’re all good xx

My hair was originally purple but now it is faded and ombré(a little lighter than yours). I have manic panic rock n roll red but I want it to be all the same color red and not to fade out so quickly as it usually does. I have 30 volume but idk if it’s any good.
Hey, the manic panic won’t work with developer, the developer was for L’Oréal HiColor HiLights dye xx

I literally have dark reddish hair now, did bleach it but it didn’t life the way I wanted it too, I’ve never put developer with hair dye? Should I? What’s the difference with developer and without? Literally trying to get my hair bright as I can! 😩
Hey, it depends which dye you buy. You can’t but any hair dye and add developer for it to work, L’Oréal’s HiColour HiLights that I was using is a permanent hair dye with no ammonia . If you want to dye your whole head I recommend either a semi permanent or per mine net dye which will need developer xx

Yeah it will be a very bright colour so if that's what you're going fortune it will look amazing

Do the instructions for manic panic say to use conditioner or is that just something you do?? I've never seen that before so I'm really curious! ✌
Also!! Do you use any specific products for washing your hair?? Or suggest products that will not wash away the color but still clean the hair?
I use conditioner because it just dilutes the dye so I have enough to cover my hair but you can use the colour straight out the packaging. Sometimes you can use coconut oil in it too but in small amount so it’s good for your hair but can make the colour go a bit splodgy if you don’t have enough l. I use Elvive colour protect shampoo and conditioner but the colour will always fade it just helps slow down that process a bit xx
Did you bleach the top of your hair? Or does the color can color the brown hair like that?? Hope you respond ❤️

No first she mixed developer with L’Oréal, then let that sit for 45 min. She washed it out and then mixed manic panic with conditioner and applied that.

What does it matter what kind developers use my hair scalp sensitive and do I only use white conditioner??
I have had bleached hair (dark blonde) for a while and I went to Sally’s and the lady there just gave me like the L’Oréal Hicolor Magenta (3 boxes) and 30 developer, and I’m kinda worried it’s gonna be like too bright. I want it bright but not like neon. Do you know what that color does to lighter brown, dark blonde hair? Thank you in advance if you answer! I love your hair ❤️
Hey Hayley, I’m not sure sure how it will work on blonde hair as this product is made for dark brown hair but if the lady at Sally’s suggested 30 developer I think it will be fine, I just wouldn’t put it on your roots until you have 15 mins left of processing time, it’s better to lift all colour with this product and if it is too bright for you then you can always put a semi permanent hair colour over the top so it’s so so bright but a nice solid colour xx

Hanna Banana awww thank you! I straighten is maybe once every few months but I blow dry it most times I wash my hair. It lasts a long time because I dye my hair every 7/8 weeks now xx

Hey I’m starting to dye my hair bright red but it hasn’t worked out so far it just fades out very quickly to a orange/light brown so I’m going to try it your way! I love your colour!!
I was wondering how your hair feels? Is it still healthy? Is it okay to just keep dying it?
Yeah my hair feels great, I have dry hair from when I bleached my whole head from red to blonde but it has grown out now so healthier. I recommend this method because when I was red for about 2 years using this method my hair grew so thick and shiny so it is was not damaging for me. The first Time you dye your hair, make sure you mix enough colour with the L'Oreal HiColor hiLights to cover your whole head so it lifts evenly and is very saturated. I would recommend the magenta colour because it fades to more of a pinky red instead of orange. Also the first time you do colour it, make sure you leave it on your mid lengths for the longest time and not your roots. I know I didn't follow this advice here but it is the way which prevents hot roots and possible breakage.

Have you tried any of the other red manic panic colours or is the mixture of hot pink and vampire just the best outcome?

S M I’ve only ever used Vampire Red and Hot Hot pink so you might find a better colour mixture for yourself, Arctic Fox hair colour brand is also very good so maybe try that?

Yeah I use a full tub now, I used to mix two pots and use 3/4 red and 1/4 pink

my hair is naturally black and i ended up having to do my hair 4 times. I hate having such dark hair but it ended up gorgeous

I used to have red hair for over ten years then two years ago dyed jt blak, now am tryna go bak to red but its not working, i used the L’Oreal HiColor with 30 developers, some red at the ends and some at roots ans barely any in the middle, also the red is not even that red. I dono what to do i don wana bleach. Any recommendations?
Nour Al Guindy You can’t dye over black, you’ll have to lighten or bleach it unfortunately 😔 red is the best I love it, was red for a yew years a while ago so I’m happy I’ve got it back xx
Madison Leigh is there a way to lighten it without bleach? Like go any other shade? And how did u go from blue to purple to red etc, just with the manic panic?
@@nouralguindy4691 No, you could try lightening processes with anti-dandruff shampoo but I don't think it will make any difference and you will still struggle to dye over it to the colour you want. You could try a bleach bath which is not as strong but I recommend just bleaching it once thoroughly and then it will most likely lift to a red from the black dye then you can dye over with red manic panic and skip the loreal bicolour hi lights step to reduce harm to your hair. if you used the Hicolour before Manic Panic then it will be very bright just like you want. That's my opinion anyways, I will make it very clear I'm not a hair professional and don't know much about the chemistry behind hair but that is what I would predict is the best way for at home hair styling. I'm just a DIY girl, my opinion may not be right at all xx
@@nouralguindy4691 I was red, then I bleached my hair twice to go level 9 blonde then I dyed it blue with manic panic and let that fade a lot then I added red/dark pink dye to the blue because blue and red make purple. then I topped the purple up with purple dye to refresh the colour. After I was red I let is fade out for about 2 months by using lemon and water and fairy liquid washes and I used anti dandruff shampoo to get the rest of the dye in my hair to lighten slightly over a few weeks. That leads me to this video where I show you how I went from this purple to red xx

Depends how I want the colour to look but usually I do 1/4 hot hot pink and 3/4 vampire red for manic panic. For roots I use L’Oréal HiColor HiLights magenta and 30 volume developer

Does the manic panic dye stain pillowcases, etc?
No it doesn’t, it does bleed onto fabrics, but all clothes and bed covers have all washed out for me so not a permanent thing x

The Hot Hot pink shade I used 1/4 pot and for Vampire red I used 3/4 but now I just use a full pot of Vampire red

Hi, I usually buy mine from Amazon but I don't think they have any available at the moment. they have the L'Oreal HiColor HiLights in the colour Red but that's all I could find at the minute xx

I used a permanent hair dye, the L'Oreal HiColor HiLights which has lightener in it which is why it only works with developer xx
