It is pretty rare for a top footballers son to follow in their dads footsteps. Most greats had the drive because it was their way out of a terribly poor situation. Most Millionaires children will never understand the need to work that hard for something. Skills yes they do seem to have gained those genetically but its hard work and effort that gets you time on the pitch in most clubs.

There are amature players that can never go pro because they, no matter how good they are and how hard they try, won't be able to last 90min every 3 days. The limit of their bodies is just their limit as a player. You have some players that at the age of 30 can only play 45 min or are substitutes, not because they are bad, or their don't work on their stamina, but that is just the limit of their bodies at that age. They won't be able to play at that level of dynamics for such a long time.

I think that when a kids sees his father accomplish so much and is not over yet for a kid to think that he could be like his father for me is a mental block , my father was a great dancer no matter what music was playin he would perform to the max me I always felt I could never be able to came close to the greatness of my father consequently I never wanted to dance ,so I took soccer instead I was ok but nothing like Pele whom I had the pleasure to meet at the stadium in Rosario , but for me Messi is and would be the best player for many generations to come ,his skills ,his vision and above all his one of the most loving ,sincere caring unselfish,and humble players I have ever seen , I thank God for giving Messi such a gift for people to enjoy such a great men to be love by millions around the world .
