      Mark, thanks for the videos. I recently purchased a 96 wave Venture 1100 for 260$. The carb rebuild video was very helpful. I studied it several times while doing the rebuild. Invested in non JIS metric screws for the carbs. It worked great. Merry Christmas, God Bless you and your family.

    Pretty standard break in procedure I'd say, maybe even a bit conservative. After watching the big boys do their first starts on racing two strokes, or just running a low hour motor in general, what I really notice is the key is the consistent throttle blips. You already know this, but with every blip you are delivering a nice shot of oil to everything. For example the Japanese factories that run their old race bikes the mechanics that start and warm them up all seem to have a consistent throttle blip pattern amongst them. As long as you aren't low idling it right off the bat or holding massive throttle right off the bat, I would think the rings are going to seat real nice real fast.

    • @EricksonMachinePerformance
      @EricksonMachinePerformance  Před 3 lety +2

      The blips stop the cylinder from GLAZING on break-in. Just idling at low rpm without load can glaze the cylinder
      This break-in procedure is just what I have come up with and used for MANY years. Some go shorter ( also not bad in some cases) others just go WAY TO LONG. I know some shops recommend 2 to 5 TANKS of gas for break-in which is silly in my opinion and a waste of fun time riding your new engine! Main thing is varying throttle and keeping an eye that everything is running how it should and nothing is overheating.
