Tesla, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Great White, Metallica, Ozzy, Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses...etc. We were spoiled if you rocked to these group's from 1985 to 1995. 10 years of epically great rock.
I met these guys when i was a kid working at a hotel...i worked in the restaraunt as a waiter, Jeff came in for breakfast with his girl at the time.....i was kinda star struck because I was a huge Tesla fan....he could tell lol....i talked way too long lol....he grinned and asked my name and I told him and he introduced me to his lady....he said hey kev do you wanna come see the show tonight? I was like hell yes!!...he smiled and said cool! Give me your info, bring 2 friends too if youd like! I was so suprised...and sure enough we went to that venue that night and he had tickets and meet&greet passes waiting for us at the window.....and we got to meet most of the band and hang out after the show !!! It was a great time and a great memory!!!
Yeah I remember working at Cedar Point and guns & roses came to do the original demon drop. Unfortunately a tornado warning came thru so I had to get life guard in with me outside of hotel. Heartless. Yeah hotels. I met Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees back as as a kid. I didn't wash hand for a week & boy itchy.
Here I am 53 years young, sitting in my office with the headphones on lip synching, air guitar and air drumming. Life is good. Most underrated band in my opinion and put on one hell of a live show!
Jeff is a great guy in person. Met him at a rock club where I worked, and he caught me singing this song at karaoke. When it was done, I realized he was standing there clapping, and I thought I was going to die of embarrassment. He bought me a beer and said I sounded really good. I'm never going to forget that night.

My mom was 23 in 89 and she showed me all this amazing music. she passed away in 2016 and every time I hear these songs I think of her. RIP mom I love you and your music.

Jeff's voice is blown out. I saw them last night in Colorado Springs. The musicianship is still stellar, but the rasp in Mr Keith's voice overshadows the rest of the band. 🤘🏼

Coolest thing about this video is watching this crowd of kids so completely moved by the song and embraced in the moment. No stupid cell phones. No videos. Just pure, unbridled joy. What a beautiful thing to see the audience so connected connected to the performance. I just like many of the posters here am a child of the 80s. This song creates a feeling that very few can create. I'm not sure if it's nostalgia, melancholy, lovesickness, etc. but I always feel something unique when I listen to it.
It's hope ❤ it makes me feel the same way, I finally figured it out, HOPE! I have been lacking it for so long I forgot what it felt like and the last time I heard this song was 25-30 years ago so when I heard it again I had confusion as well, I've always loved this song but something hit a little different now rather than when I was a a Kid. I realized the difference was back then , I was looking forward to everything life had to offer me it was full of possibilities . I took it for granted because I had always had it !! I am not sure what or when i lost it but i did somehow! I've had a rough and painful past few years ! But, I didn't realize how much I this has affected me! Until recently hearing this song , it made me cry and smile and honestly it sparked something in my soul that I needed, that's for sure! I hope you have the same energy and strength that I have taken from it! 😇😌
I saw Tesla last saturday night. The lead singer Jeff Keith. He's 63 years old and they rocked the house! He's one of the great rock and roll voices of our time.
My Bass player and I were invited to the house years ago. Upstairs we were photographed with gold plaque behind us many years ago. Upstairs was beautiful.
They’re coming to Florida in February and I can’t wait to go. Missed them a few years ago and didn’t go cause it was a 10 hour round trip to Jacksonville and every time I listened to them after that I regretted not making the trip.
I turn 48 next month! I remember when these songs played back when I was a teenager. Life was so free and our age was invincible. Sometimes I wish I can go back in time and do it all over again. Now that I think about it 48 isn't so bad. Watching your son grow up to become a man. Watching your son look at your first grandchild will bring you back to when you use to look at him. I saw these guys in concert in ‘89 or ‘90. I wish I could remember all the concerts from that time. This song brings back a lot of memories. At the time, you didn’t realize these were going to be the good ‘ol days. Man, I had so much potential and things really going for me. Now here I am, an old man, dreaming about what could have or should have been. Oh well, F it, it’s not like everyone makes it.
With my anger problem as a kid (I was horribly bullied until I got to be 6'1" 220 pounds) is I got through life without doing anything I regretted. So all of us have different successes. And few regrets.

But the drugs have turned her into someone I no longer know. Although it seems like there is very little hope of her ever getting clean, I still pray that love will find a way. I heard this song for the very first time just a couple of weeks ago and I am absolutely in love with it! I don't know how I never even heard of Tesla until now. I grew up listening to Def Leppard. I was at this concert too! I'm also going to be 50 this July 28, 2021. What a fun, amazing time. Thank you Tesla for such a beautiful memory. It was so wild in the front, my shoes got ripped off my feet when the crowd shifted. I walked out barefoot. Rock and Roll Forever. Steph M.
I’ve seen Tesla they were great! My fondest memory was going to a concert with a friend her brother was in charge of watching us, her and I met Alice Cooper ( I had know idea who he was I was still looking for a chic named Alice, I remember telling him his eye makeup was running and he laughed) my mom and dad knew nothing till someone called to make sure we got home ok from the concert(I got grounded BIG TIME, but it was worth traveling 2 states and experiencing it. We (friend & I) ate (wonderful catered food) in a big tent with a FLOCK OF BANDS. I have told my kids this story and got the eye roll thing. But everyone was nice, pleasant and down to earth did NOT see alcohol or drugs and it was like a family. Damn I wish those days were still reachable in peoples lives. I’d go to that reunion dinner in a heartbeat! Thank you Alice for thinking I was funny, getting me grounded and making sure we got home in that old P.O.S. Ford safely!

My parents lived this era and I can't help but seethe with jealousy. Everything about music was better in the 80s/early 90s. Luckily they passed their taste onto me.
They really captured a spirit in the chorus of this song. Instantly legendary. I remember when it first hit, it was just undeniable. Song and Emotion is like that too.
My husband lived in California when Tesla was just getting started and turned out he lived next to them right before making it big. He heard them practicing and walked over. They offered him a beer and to hang out and listen. Said it was one of the best days of his life.

Well said PR. Late 70s early 80s live concerts like Nugent, Aerosmith, Bad Company, The Eagles. Blue Oyster Cult, Bread , Chicago and Zeppelin. I ushered seats back then at the Omni in Atlanta to get a free show. That was Atlanta privilege in 77'.

No one growing up today could ever imagine the fun WE had in the 80,s, the endless concerts, kegger parties, rural bonfires in the middle of nowhere . To go back to those incredible care free days I,d give 19 years out of the rest of my life.

Like listening to Black Sabath toking fatties being chased off the football field during lunch by Slick our only security guard at school. Slick was cool but the football coaches weren't to happy with what we were doing. Ahhh 1971 was a good year except for Vietnam.
This isnt just some run of the mill 80s hard rock power ballad, its an experience. The way they mesh the major chords with the minor chords to create the emotions that the lyrics are trying to get across (hopelessness and then hope) is absolutely genius. That solo alone takes you on a journey from sadness to by the end of the solo and the chorus kicks in you can physically and emotionally feel hope and happiness. Most underrated band possibly ever.

It's hope ❤ it makes me feel the same way, I finally figured it out, HOPE! I have been lacking it for so long I forgot what it felt like and the last time I heard this song was 25-30 years ago so when I heard it again I had confusion as well, I've always loved this song but something hit a little different now rather than when I was a a Kid. I realized the difference was back then , I was looking forward to everything life had to offer me it was full of possibilities . I took it for granted because I had always had it !! I am not sure what or when i lost it but i did somehow! I've had a rough and painful past few years ! But, I didn't realize how much I this has affected me! Until recently hearing this song , it made me cry and smile and honestly it sparked something in my soul that I needed, that's for sure! I hope you have the same energy and strength that I have taken from it! 😇😌

I saw Tesla last saturday night. The lead singer Jeff Keith. He's 63 years old and they rocked the house! He's one of the great rock and roll voices of our time.

I turn 48 next month! I remember when these songs played back when I was a teenager. Life was so free and our age was invincible. Sometimes I wish I can go back in time and do it all over again. Now that I think about it 48 isn't so bad. Watching your son grow up to become a man. Watching your son look at your first grandchild will bring you back to when you use to look at him. I saw these guys in concert in ‘89 or ‘90. I wish I could remember all the concerts from that time. This song brings back a lot of memories. At the time, you didn’t realize these were going to be the good ‘ol days. Man, I had so much potential and things really going for me. Now here I am, an old man, dreaming about what could have or should have been. Oh well, F it, it’s not like everyone makes it.
With my anger problem as a kid (I was horribly bullied until I got to be 6'1" 220 pounds) is I got through life without doing anything I regretted. So all of us have different successes. And few regrets.

I have a daughter who's been addicted to heroin for the past 10 years. She was a stunningly beautiful green-eyed redhead and a sensitive & caring person. But the drugs have turned her into someone I no longer know. Although it seems like there is very little hope of her ever getting clean, I still pray that love will find a way.

besides the 50s and before, yes absolutely the 80s were an awesome time I lived them!
I’ve seen Tesla they were great! My fondest memory was going to a concert with a friend her brother was in charge of watching us, her and I met Alice Cooper ( I had know idea who he was I was still looking for a chic named Alice, I remember telling him his eye makeup was running and he laughed) my mom and dad knew nothing till someone called to make sure we got home ok from the concert(I got grounded BIG TIME, but it was worth traveling 2 states and experiencing it. We (friend & I) ate (wonderful catered food) in a big tent with a FLOCK OF BANDS. I have told my kids this story and got the eye roll thing. But everyone was nice, pleasant and down to earth did NOT see alcohol or drugs and it was like a family. Damn I wish those days were still reachable in peoples lives. I’d go to that reunion dinner in a heartbeat! Thank you Alice for thinking I was funny, getting me grounded and making sure we got home in that old P.O.S. Ford safely!

My husband lived in California when Tesla was just getting started and turned out he lived next to them right before making it big. He heard them practicing and walked over. They offered him a beer and to hang out and listen. Said it was one of the best days of his life.

Well said PR. Late 70s early 80s live concerts like Nugent, Aerosmith, Bad Company, The Eagles. Blue Oyster Cult, Bread , Chicago and Zeppelin. I ushered seats back then at the Omni in Atlanta to get a free show. That was Atlanta privilege in 77'.

Like listening to Black Sabath toking fatties being chased off the football field during lunch by Slick our only security guard at school. Slick was cool but the football coaches weren't to happy with what we were doing. Ahhh 1971 was a good year except for Vietnam.
This isnt just some run of the mill 80s hard rock power ballad, its an experience. The way they mesh the major chords with the minor chords to create the emotions that the lyrics are trying to get across (hopelessness and then hope) is absolutely genius. That solo alone takes you on a journey from sadness to by the end of the solo and the chorus kicks in you can physically and emotionally feel hope and happiness. Most underrated band possibly ever.
