      I did so as instructed in the video and the red compartment took off like a rocket off the blue compartment slid across my table and onto the floor and I was Surprised because because I knew that wasn't supposed to happenI did not get the resultsIs that I wanted and have to retry again. Had this on my S10 and I swear it saved my phones life !!! I refuse to use any other screen protector on my phone. Just traded in my S10 for the S21 ultra and got the full 800 towards it cause my S10 was in perfect condition thanks to this freakin screen protector. The screen protector was trashed to shit but it did its job cause the actual screen was unscathed. Just ordered the whitestone for my S21 ultra , waiting on it now. Great vid tho 👍 they changed the setup a bit so ill be sure to watch this video as im installing it.
    EDIT: So I ran through both of whitestone dome glass screen protectors that came in the box and was pretty disappointed that the fingerprint sensor issue hadn't been resolved 😒 (for me at least). So I decided to give the Amfilm tempered glass a try and wow! I wish I pulled the trigger on this one a long time ago. The fingerprint sensor now works for me 99% of time while the white stone rendered the sensor pretty much useless and I had to rely on face unlock. So ya my go to screen protector will now be Amfilm. If anyone is having fingerprint sensor issues with the whitestone glass screen protector, I highly recommend giving the Amfilm screen protector a try. You won't regret it !

    The whitestone dome seems to be a little more tedious than the amFilm version. However, the amFilm also does comes with a little level to know that the surface and phone are level before application. Again, however, the Whitestone makes sure you're getting the adhesive directly in the middle.. So it's a trade off. Plus, that tiny dome level (that comes with amFilm) isn't that expensive, IF you REALLY wanna make sure your installation goes flawlessly.

    • @zeqxv7487
      @zeqxv7487 Před 3 lety

      The adhesive doesn't damage the screen in any way, in fact it actually repairs it if you had any scratches before installing this screen protector, the adhesive will fill up light scratches. You can just start peeling up the corners with your nail or maybe a playing card and that will work however the way I removed mine was by heating up the screen first with a blowdryer which made the protector come off a little easier

    Hi, I've read in a couple of reviews that this Whitestone Dome glass isn't even glass (because it's "bendable"), can anyone give some insight on this before I purchase? I want an actual glass protector so if it does fall or something hits the screen I want that glass to take the impact & crack, I know a protector film won't do that.

    • @BretMuckdogs
      @BretMuckdogs Před 3 lety

      Good question. I've had about 4 generations of the Whitestone Dome glass dating back to the S8+. This year's version of the glass still is glass but it seems more malleable than the previous iterations. I've had mine on my S21 Ultra for five months, and just had the first crack on the protector. Studying the protector a a little more it still seems like it's made of glass, just not as brittle as before. I think it's a good thing but not 100% certain.

    Wat happens if you mess up is the Glue easy to clean?

    • @devinhourin1366
      @devinhourin1366 Před 3 lety +1

      it's easy to clean. if you didn't cure it then just rinse the phone off thoroughly in the sink, dry it with a micro fiber cloth and start over with the alcohol prep. if you had the glass on and didn't cure it but messed up then that's a bit of a problem. u technically can clean the glass off but u run a high risk of getting dust under the screen during the curing process. I would just use the 2nd one at that point since you'll be starting over all together.
      if it was installed fully and cured its easy to redo if it needs to be replaced. just carefully lift from one of the edges and slowly apply upward pressure to remove it (take ur time cuz it can and will break easily removing it). wipe the screen down real good with an alcohol prep pad and begin your new installation.
      hope that helped

      I haven't a problem with the camera, but I don't use the flash. I've never spent this much on a phone which is why I bought the camera protectors. If I see lots of reports about the camera area not getting scratched after a few months I'll take mine off.

      Bullshit. It's TEMPERED GLASS! You'd have a hard time cracking it even if you were being rough. You basically have to intend to destroy it in order to damage it. It's more likely you weren't treating your phone well. This is literally the BEST one on the market, bar none.

      @@RationallySkeptical clearly u havent had this glass;), its so flimsy it breaks if u look at it, mine chipped off in the cover in the fucking pocket!. so go get it uself and try it out if u thjink its that hard, its nothing to do with a tempered glass, its a dome glass!

    These whitestone dome glasses are useless, used them on note10, the fingerprint sensor wouldn't work after. Don't waste money.

    After doing all the front cover, the back cover is really ridiculous, make a expensive phone to a cheap phone again...best don't use it.

    Way overpriced.

      Not really if you've ever had one. Most won't work with the finger print reader but this one. So its either risk busting your phone or buying an expensive protector.
