    Self discipline is needed to get rich
    Self discipline is rare to have.
    The internet is crushing the ability to even become self discipline.
    If you can use the internet as an asset and not entertainment you will win. But will you?

    • @AJeazy
      @AJeazy Před 4 lety +22

      And In 30 years investing 20,000 a year at 7% you have over 2 million. 35 years and you're awfully close to 3 million. But It's actually better to do it on a monthly basis at 1667 instead of an annual basis at 20000 you'll get to a million in 21 years instead. And of course how much you make isn't going to stay at 40,000 a year forever. It should go up as time goes on too so you could start investing more than 1667 a month. And honestly the 7% isn't even the best you can do that's just the average. If you're active in the stock market and know what you're doing you can get higher returns than that. I gained 5% in the stock market just in the past month.

      Supply and demand, tuition costs have risen even though College attendance has skyrocketed. You would think that the more books they order the cheaper they would , indeed it's quite the opposite because they want to keep the masses dumbed-down which only inevitably hurts them. that's why I believe when the family of original Reddit Creator claims that elements within the government have had him murdered because he was trying to release open domain documents all on one searchable website without the need to know the specific Case Files for free which had never been done before. and drawing lines from climate change denial and those who funded it. With that as well as the Gulf of Tonkin, Iran-Contra, MK Ultra, the Bay of Pigs, the memo to have terrorist attacks carried out by us to be blamed on Cuba all of which have been Declassified document proof that the government would lie to us and could possibly have elements working for an unknown agenda. Possibly a leftover from Operation Paperclip. how can we become so far behind, nearly last in education. do you win saying one of our Wars is unethical or that they said we had to leave and we're not listening to it, we're not adhering to nuclear regulation. Trying to harsh on Iran saying they're hiding s*** when we won't even sign the agreement or ratify it rather last and trying to keep up with China and Russia. the internets boy. Couldn't smear him so they Epstein the f out of him for tracing climate change denial funding. Remember Gulf of Tonkin and all the people who died in Vietnam because of this lie, Iran-Contra and all the negative images people associated with the devastation of the African-American community, remember MK Ultra where they didn't give a fuk about anybody

      Not really. That implies there is a set amount of value in the world that can be harvested by humans.
      A good analogy would be if there was one mango tree in the world. Then there are only so many mangos to go around.
      But if more people showed up and planted more mango trees soon enough there could be more mangos than anyone could possibly eat.
      Only when the earth ran out of space for mango trees would the overpopulation of humans start to outweigh the space for mango trees.
      With ai and robotics and mega farming practices we as humans have 1000s more mango trees than we had a 100 years ago. So if everyone knew how to pick mangos, there wouldn't be a problem with everyone being mango rich.
      I like mangos.

Then after you confront the reality of the providence, you are free to go out and make money and develop physically, but the essential spiritual truth will not be changing with the addition of riches. I have been unemployed for 15 years, working as an artist, with a family of 3 kids and a wife. And my faith was not built by having something, but tested and earned by not having. But, it IS possible for everyone to have enough money to be able to comfortably fulfill their basic needs and enjoy their life E.g. eat well, go on some holidays, buy nice clothes, drive a decent car, etc. And the wealthy simply engage in more luxury versions of the same things. There is no need for there to be poor people, not just relatively poor but actually struggling and having financial stresses. In Ancient Athens people were relatively wealthy and had lots of free time to pursue arts and pleasure. This was mainly because they had slaves to do all the menial jobs. When AI gets good enough, we can have robot slaves take the place of these human slaves and it will actually become possible to eliminate poverty. It will happen eventually, no doubt. Exciting times

    • @0urmunchk1n
      @0urmunchk1n Před 4 lety +7

      @@siddharthverma1249 There's a difference between economic mobility and the idea that everyone can be rich, at least using the definition he seems to be using based on context. Specifically, someone that can have all their material desires met without the need to sell their labor. It might be true that ANYONE can become rich, though I would dispute that, but its ridiculous to believe EVERYONE can become rich.
      The issues here are:
      1) If you try to make everyone rich you run out of resources. (This is why he talks about asteroid mining, automated nuclear power stations on the moon, and fucking Dyson spheres.)
      2) If you try to make everyone rich you run out of labor, (This is why he talks about robots doing all the work.)
      3) The time frame of 5 years is bonkers, maybe in 200 to 300 hundred years we can resolve problems 1 and 2. More likely he's off by a minimum of 1 order of magnitude and probably closer to 2.
      4) He makes a massive assumption that everyone has the capability of becoming a programmer or engineer with complete disregard for research to the contrary.
      So yeah, you can become rich, or I can become rich, or Jenny from the block can become rich, sure. But the idea that all 7.5 billion people and growing can become rich isn't realistic.

Someone commented about investing in stock, that’s great and I recommend but that wouldn’t make you rich all of a sudden, that’s a long term investment but if you start a business you can make more, a business is a business, doesn’t matter what it is but the best business is a business that actually solves people’s needs, don’t worry about starting a mind blowing business no one has ever seen before but instead look at everything already existing, you can tap into any big business and just provide some kind of service they don’t have for their users and clients and that’s it. But after decades of doing everything I'm supposed to, doing all the things people say that lead to success, I realized it is complete and total bullshit. Being poor is a trap. A trap that sticks you to the floor that you cannot climb out of no matter how much you try. The fact is you need money to make money in this modern world. I never believed in luck. I would have told you luck is a construct for people who continue to fail. But now, after years and years of failure I am a firm believer in luck as a concept. Some people, no matter how much work they put in and no matter how skilled simply get the shit end of the stick. Luck is a real factor. Not everyone can become wealthy. Not everyone can be happy. Doing your best and giving it your all sometimes is simply not enough, and no matter what you do you will never accomplish your dreams. This man is 100% full of shit and has no idea of what he's speaking on. It is so easy to write a philosophy you never had to put into practice yourself. Perhaps that's the trick, lying to everyone.

    Jesus Joe and Naval! Thanks a lot. Here I am relaxing and taking my morning shit and you drop this in me. Now I’ve got to spend the next 3 hours researching nuclear energy and how far along the research is. So much for a productive Saturday morning. I’ll see you at the end of the rabbit hole.

    It’s not really saving up you want. Its more about creating passive income streams that will pay you forever so you can live the lifestyle you wanna live

      I agree... We can all not be rich but we should not let there be such a big gap between the rich and the poor. The rich should not be able to waste money just because they have it

    It’s not correct to say that everybody can be rich. A hard truth is that some folks don’t have an IQ that will enable them to take advantage of the opportunities in an economy, sadly.

    “Rich” is relevant. To a homeless person I’m rich. To me my parents are rich. To joe Rogan, Elon Musk is rich.

      Wealth really is relative. There's levels even with the ultra-rich. They'll consider someone poor that's worth "only" a few million. Meanwhile I'm currently worth 3000.00 and 1. That's a massive improvement for me and 2. There's people sleeping outside my building in the rain that wish they had an apartment and 300.00. Having been homeless before, and having been around wealthy people growing up, I cannot stress enough how relative wealth is at all levels.
