  • Today I am listening ith you some of the best early 2000s Polish songs. It is a period in history I ADORE. So get your pop-corn and st around. Today, I will listen to an extremely well-known song from Myslovitz also, a wonderful piece (Varius Manx) singing "Maj". Finally, I will take a look at a song made by Wilki "URKE" Hope you enjoy.
    Don't forget to "LIKE" the video, I always appreciate it with human hugs!

    Unfortunately, I couldn't publish the original video with the videos for Wilki and Myslovitz, because CZcams kept on blocking them. That's why I uploaded it so late. 😓

    Omg I love it I’m 38 years old and living on exile almost 15 years in UK . Love Myslovitz it remand me my younger years of hanging out with friends in local pub and play that song from tune box! Check also Cool Kids of Dead ☠️ they are really cool! Greetings from rainy London but also super mild 🇵🇱

    I actually remember that Wilki were about to sell that exact song to Bryan Adams (who at the time was quite popular in Poland, gave a few concerts etc.) but eventually Adams didn't like the drinking-themed-lyrics.

    Słońce, mieć maj w sercu = zakochać się. Chyba o tym jest piosenka Varius Manx, raczej nie o jedzeniu kiełbasy na majówce ;)

      @@AlmostDon Maybe it's because they are trying to protect their privacy :) They seem like a great couple, they also make music together. They performed together at Eurovision Song Contest in 2015, here is the video to their song "in the name of love" czcams.com/video/iRWG6g0YjD0/video.html - very touching in my opinion :)

    I do not really like early 2000s in polish music. After massive rock popularity in 90s, we had very deep implosion on the beginning of new century. As You can see and listen on Your video, some mawkish start to be very popular. Semms like Jarocin era generation just grow up, and their children wants something, which was (in their minds) more connected to westren europe modern pinky trends. However You can still find some jewels. Exactly like You said. I would like to recommend two songs from that era:
    1.O.N.A. from their probably best, definitely darkest and very last album. Video is very professional and for me, one of their the bests:
    m.czcams.com/video/BxkPtEF-VdM/video.html
    Second track, which I would recommend is Sweet Noise, hard rock group, which change their style on the beginning of 2000s, but still keept their unique atmosphere (for some reason I could not find original video on YT, but is fantastic and worth of seeing, so link to different platform):

    Majówka exists mostly cause due to how Polish national holidays align, there's like a 60% chance that with taking a 3 extra days off you can have 9 days of free time in the beginning of May. The October holidays are too far apart for this.

    • @AlmostDon
      @AlmostDon  Před 2 lety

      Majówka is the best Polish invention, next to the wonderful Krupnik.

      Jest różnica między poprawianiem a czepianiem
      Warto dostrzec najpierw tą dobrą stronę medalu i pisać w trochę przyjemniejszej formie
      Czepialstwo jest nie grzeczne
      do tego jeśli to możliwe i to drobny błąd lepiej zadbać aby samemu użyć tego samego zwrotu poprawnie w odpowiedzi zamiast zwracać uwagę
